Here is the next chapter this is will be mainly Dis, Frain, Thorin, and Vili's view of her starting with Dis.

After what had happened in the thrown room Jessica returned to her chambers only to have Dis join her shortly after. Dis had heard about what had happened and was even more shocked that it was she and not Dwalin who spotted the would-be assassin. Jessica let out a sigh before turning to the princess "Is there anything I can assist you with Dis?" she asked

"How did you know?" Dis asked curiously

Jessica sat on her bed "About the assassin?" she asked.

Dis nodded "I have always had a keen eye for things out of place around me, it helped me a great deal when at war." she said truthfully

"I thought women of the world of men were not allowed to fight?" Dis asked.

Dis did have a point unless they were a Ranger "Where I am from, men and women can fight and die beside each other," she replied and began telling Dis of her home.

When she had finished Dis looked at her in awe "A tear of Mahal as you call it is what brought me to this world, it allows me to travel between both of our worlds." she finished

"Then you must keep it with you at all times, and let no one take it from you," Dis said

"Not even my money-grubbing Aunt can take this from me," she said with a smirk.

Jessica reached for her pack that had been laying beside the bed that was shockingly comfortable, pulling out the deer hide she had been working on. Dis watched her with the beadwork that she had been working on using the colorful beads in royal blue to lay in the design of the House of Durin. Each bead placed perfectly before they knew it, it was time for dinner.

Frain was shocked to see a woman in dear skin walk beside Dis the pair talking like they had been friends for years. The Lonely Mountain was already talking of a girl with Raven's wing colored hair and eyes the color of Sapphires, with skin that seemed to have been kissed by the sun. To see her walk beside his sister was a marvel, to say the least, she was of the world of men, but as tall as a dwarf if albeit slightly taller. The skin had been decorated with beadwork, at the center was the coat of arms for the House of Durin. It was lovely to look at, the rumors of her beauty were true as they made their way to the head of the table "Your majesty, your highnesses." the woman greeted with a polite bow of her head.

The first time Frain met Jessica was at dinner. The mountain was talking of a girl with Raven's hair and eyes the color of Sapphire with skin that had seemed to be kissed by the sun. To see her walk in with his sister wearing stag skin with beadwork was somewhat an attention grabber. All eyes were on the woman from the world of men. She and Dis looked around the room and glared at everyone in the room who was looking. The rumors of her beauty were true. His sister and the woman walked passed Dwalin who had been angered by how easily the woman had taken out an assassin "Your majesty, your highnesses." the woman greeted with a polite bow of her head.

Thror nodded in turn "I see you are in something more comfortable," his grandfather said

"I am your majesty," the woman replied as she and Dis sat down to join the meal.

The king nodded as he turned his attention to his brother Thorin mouthing 'Who is she?'

'Jessica,' Thorin mouthed in reply

"Tell me, girl, how did you come by a tear of Mahal?" a council member said causing the room to go silent.

Jessica sighed looking at the necklace around her neck "It was left to me by my late father,  and where I am from it is called a Tear of Odin." she replied, "Gods are known by many different names depending on one's culture. Who you call Mahal could be called another name elsewhere."

The councilmember nodded as he looked to his sister "So, why is she here?" he asked

"To protect us brother," Thorin said.

Frain kept his eyes on Jessica as she would describe things that could help with ailments that Oin took a liking to, from willow bark to unknown herbs grown in her homeland she had knowledge of. Frain was curious about the young woman "It was a fluke how do we know that she isn't in league with the Assassin?" A dwarf asked

Dwalin looked up from his food and over at Jessica who calmly stood up "Lady Jessica, please stay seated." his grandfather asked.

Jessica shook her head "With all due respect, your majesty, how I was raised when someone calls you out you defend you and your family honor." she replied cooly looking at the dwarf who accused her.

His grandfather nodded in understanding "How do we know it wasn't ye who lead the assassin here?" the dwarf asked standing.

Jessica's eyes narrowed as she looked at the dwarf who accused her "Would ye like a demonstration of my skills master dwarf?" her tone was now as cold as ice.

Dwalin looked between the dwarf and then at Jessica "I would like to test your skill, but it seems as if this one wants to test it first."

"Just name the day and time Dwalin and I'll be happy to kick your ass," Jessica said without looking at the Dwalin, "If I didn't know any better he who points a finger and casts blame is the one who trades words with shadows."

The dwarf launched himself at Jessica who sidestepped and pulled out a knife and held it to the Dwarf's throat "Looks like I hit a nerve." she said with a smirk.

Everyone watched to see what the Dwarf would do next which was swing a fist in Jessica's direction. Jessica with her free hand caught the offending Dwarf's fist and kicked his knee out from under him causing him to grunt in pain "Not so high and mighty now are we?" she asked, "Your Majesty in my experience if someone goes into the defensive when they are held for questioning and investigated."

"Master Dwalin take him away," his grandfather said.

Just then her head snapped up and the knife she had held in her hand went sailing through the air and clashed with an arrow "ASSASSIN!" Thorin bellowed.

*****

Thorin watched as Jessica lept from table to table before running along one of them tackling his grandfathers would be killer to the ground. Dwalin had a hold of the Dwarf who accused Jessica of assassination attempts. Jessica looked stunning in what she wore it outlined her body perfectly without being too revealing. She was his one, and his one was fierce as a dragon one would say...
