They say don't let them in
Close your eyes and clear your thoughts again
But when I'm all alone, they show up on their own
'Cause inner demons fight their battles with fire

-Inner Demons by Julia Brennan

"How many times do I have to tell you that you can't just sneak out whenever you like?" Alice Cooper exclaimed, her voice filling up the house. Her hands were placed on both of her hips in devastation, and the tension was hanging by a thread. It could be easily cut by a pocket knife.

"Mom, I'm fifteen. I can do whatever I want." Bea tried to reason out to her mom.

It was six in the morning, and the Coopers were all sitting on the dining table. It was too early; too early for the youngest of the Coopers  to receive an earful lecture from her mom. Hal was just listening to them but he was also furious with what Bea did. Sneaking out at night, with no assurance of safety was dangerous. Rierdale is a dangerous town- small but so full of danger and chaos that lurks within.

Alice stared at her ridiculously, "Fifteen or not, I am not letting you go out there and face danger alone." She said before calming herself down and sitting on the vacant chair.

"Your mother's right," Hal finally spoke up. "It's dangerous out there. We don't want you to be in danger sweetheart."

Bea rolled her eyes in annoyance and glancedat her sister who was on her phone, probably texting Archie or Ronnie. Not like she cares though. She basically hates her older sister more than she hates this family.

"Elizabeth," Alice called out, taking a sip of her coffee that seems to be as dark as Bea's soul. She locked eyes with her middle child, who placed her phone down.

"Yes, mom?" Betty asked, smiling at her.

It made Bea sick to her stomach. How can she just act like she's bloody perfect when she's far from one? It disgusts her. All the secrets and lies were all hidden beneath that perfect image she has.

"You are to watch your sister everyday. Call me if she tries to do anything funny." Alice explained.

Betty nodded and smiled at Bea who stared at her mom in horror.

"Mom, I'm a fucking grown ass woman. I don't need dear Elizabeth here, to watch me at all times. It's not necessary." Bea said, voice filled with disgust. There is no way in hell is her sister watching her like a damn babysitter. No way.

"Language, Bea. And it's final. Stay out of trouble young lady."

Bea paced around in her room, as she balled her fist. She was so mad at the fact that Betty would be watching her every move even though she can take care of herself. She doesn't need her or any of them in her life. She especially doesn't need Betty. Why?

Elizabeth was the one who made her life a complete hell. It all started when they were still kids. Polly and Betty were always the one their parents favored, giving them whatever they wanted, no questions asked. But when she asks for a simple thing, questions would be thrown here and there. It was unfair. Other than that, she was completely overshadowed by her older sisters, and she was tired of them always being number one in their parent's eyes. So she began to rebel against her parents at the age of thirteen. All she wanted was her parents attention to shift towards her, even if it leads to arguements. She was just so desperate for her parents praise and attention that she would do anything just to gain it. All these years, all she wanted was just a bit of love.

Snapping out from her thoughts, she went in her bathroom and did her business before changing into some black skinny jeans and a black v neck and some denim jacket. She wore her white Stan Smith before grabbing her bag. Sighing, she walked towards her tall mirror and stared at her reflection. Her dyed jet black hair rested on her shoulders- her lips were pale and her cheeks were flushed because of the cold December weather.

"I can do this. You can do this shit." Bea told herself before taking a deep breath and exiting her room. She jogged downstairs and rolled her eyes when she saw Archie waiting downstairs with her sister.

Archie smiled at her and sent a small wave.

"You ready, Bey?" Archie asked, adjusting his bag.

"As if I have a choice." Bea groaned as all of them went outside.

Walking with Archie and Betty was the last thing on earth that she wanted to do. Both of them were talking about the Black Hood thing that happened a week ago, and Bea could give two fucks about that.

"I'm glad that it's all over now." Betty smiled at Archie, who smiled in return.

"God, how boring can you two get?" Bea grumbled and crossed her arms on her chest.

Betty rolled her eyes, "Don't mind her, Arch. She's just being a pain in the ass."

Normally, Bea wouldn't give a damn about the words her older sister uses, but being called a burden sucks. So as usual, she gives her the 'I don't care' look. It's so hard to be fake sometimes, when all you wanna do is strangle her.

"So, Bea," Archie trailed off, turning to look at me. "Are you dating anyone?"

Bea laughed and laughed, as if it was the most funniest thing in the world. Date? Certainly not.

"Who in their right mind would date her?" Betty giggled and looked at her youngest sister.

"Betty." Archie warned her as he glanced at Bea who wore her usual facade.

"I'm not interested in anyone right now, Arch." Bea said, sighing in relief when she arrived at school before going inside, heading straight to her locker.

She tried not to get the words sink in, but she just couldn't help but to overthink what her sister just said. Who would date someone like her?
