Joseph and I were filming for the ninth episode of the second season. That's where the family spends some time together with baby Hope and my character and Klaus spend romantic moments together.

"It's a wrap! Well done guys."

"So is everything alright?", I asked my filming partner when we grabbed our stuff and said goodbye to everyone.

"I don't know what to say. I'm honestly exhausted", he sighed.

"I'd say we'll grab some food and you tell me what makes your little heart sad", I suggest with a light smile trying to cheer him up a little.

"Great idea, young lady."

"Joseph!"

"Sorry, I know you don't like being called young but compared to me", he looks at me, "you are so young."

"It's okay. But you can make it up to me by choosing a vegan restaurant."

"Whatever the lady wants."

"So, what's wrong? What's on your British mind?"

"Daniel was right of course. He asked me why I was mad when I came to set last week and I told him about Persia and I. She saw a message from you a month ago on my phone where you texted me a heart and screamed at me why you would do that and if we had an affair."

"Wait, sorry that I need to interrupt you but what?! This is all based on an emoji that I texted you because you where there for me and we grew even closer than we've been before? I mean I get it I wouldn't love that as well. But why would she even read your messages? And why don't just ask your man before yelling at him?"

"Good questions, I ask them myself, too. I love Persia, I really do. But I feel like I'm under so much pressure to make her happy. I mean you and I are good friends, we'd never be dating. I'm some years older so that's the first point why she should know that. And as you said she should have asked me if there's something going on between us or shouldn't have even looked at me phone in the first place. I just don't know how to make her believe me."

"I wish I could tell you how you could do that. She's probably insecure, maybe you see each other not often enough? Maybe she misses you?"

"Actually, that can be possible. Ever since we started filming The Originals I spend most of my time on set. I mean, you know how that is, you do it yourself. I see her rarely. We thought we would spend more time together after our engagement but with filming season two and announcing that there will be a season three it seems like we spend even less time as a couple."

"But doesn't she live with you here during the time we shoot? I mean I'm not an expert when it comes to relationships, I only had one since I came here. Luckily he spent the time here with me."

"Wait you had a boyfriend?"

"I did and I can tell you more but don't tell Paul please. How do you and Persia handle this?"

"She's in Los Angeles often. I mean she has her own career, she needs to be there."

"Jo, I don't want to make you sad but you have five options: Either one of you move to the other city so you can spend more time together or one of you stops their current project or which I hate to say you break up. I could say how sorry I am and of course I am sorry for what you go through but that wouldn't help you a lot I'd say."

"Dammit, you're right. I didn't think about that."

"I mean, I only know Daniel and Rachael who would be a good example. But they're already married, they have children. Of course, Rachael lives here. That's easier. I believe you need to find out which of the options is best for you. If she's the right woman for you, the situation will change and you will make it."

"You didn't study psychology, did you? You really know what to say to make me feel better."

"We all feel this way sometimes", I smiled lightly at him.
