CHAPTER TWO

"Wait wait wait," Dohwa stopped the girls from talking as he finally finished processing what the longer haired girl had said. However, he still had a puzzled look on his face.

"So you're telling me, wait no us, that you have been aware before Danoh and I? You were the second?" Dohwa clarified.

Suwon smile slyly once the male had finally processed the situation, "correct."

"She said it around 3 minutes ago and you've only understood it now? Gosh you're so slow," Danoh said, shaking her head in disappointment.

Dohwa pouted playfully but changed back to his usual cheerful self right after, "it's so good to have a close friend of mine being aware of themselves."

"Are you like Danoh? Are you also completely different when you're in the stage and in the shadow?" Dohwa questioned. Suwon paused for a bit, thinking about her answer for the boy's question, "I myself don't think I'm that different."

"That's good. It'll be scary if you were just like Danoh," Dohwa shivered, "don't tell her this but she's scary outside the stage," he 'whispered' to Suwon.

Danoh stood up in anger and showed a fist at him, "you know I can hear you right?" She questioned in slight anger.

Dohwa immediately scooted closer to Suwon to use her as a human shield and crossed his arms to his shoulders as well, "See what I mean? So scary."

Danoh scoffed at the boy and sat back down. Tucking her hair behind her ears. She tuened slightly to her side and started to talk to Suwon once again. Dohwa tried to join into the conversation but just couldn't get the chance to do so. Which was why he decided to just listen to them while looking at the students walking around the school's yard.

"Oh. Baek Kyung, hello," Dohwa called out as the said male passed by their table from behind him. The young boy stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at the table of familiar people.

"Oh, hi," he replied before walking away once again.

Once he was out of sight, Dohwa shook his head in disapproval. With a sigh he expressed his opinion on Baek Kyung's personality, "I honestly don't get why he's always so cold. If I have to be really honest, the only times I have seen him smile was during stages when Danoh and her father is around," he said the last part while looking at Danoh. Before turning slightly to his left to look at Suwon before continuing, "or in some rare occassions with you."

"He used to smile more, even with you and Namjoo" Suwon mumbled upon hearing Dohwa's 'confession'.

"What did you say?" Dohwa asks with a raised eyebrow as he leaned closer towards the Bae girl.

Suwon looked up and into the males eyes and answered him, "nothing."

"Come on, tell us," urged Dohwa. But the female only turned her head and look straight answering the same answer once again, "I said it's not-"

However, before she got to finish her sentence she was interupted by a loud gasp coming from her and the closing of her eyes. What? Already? When she reopened her eyes, she was now standing at the stairs leading to the path for the school's exit behind the huge crowd. What's going on?

"You really think you can repay Namjoo with the amount of money you have?" Provoked a female voice that sounded familiar to Suwon, "god, you really are pathetic. Look at your shoes."

Whoever the voice was get angry at styed silent. So the person continued angrily, "Yeo Jooda, do you really think just because you're wearing the same uniform as us, you're the same as us. Remember that the only reason you could be here is because of your scholarship. Not because of your parents."

Of course it was Yeo Jooda and one of her four bullies. Do they not have anything better to do?

Suddenly, someone pushed through the crowd from behind Suwon. She stumbled slightly when they crowd started to make a path for whoever had just arrived. Ah, Oh Namjoo. Of course he's here to save the day.

Wait. Then what am I here for? Gosh this writer-

"Errand girl," he called out, "where were you? You have errands to run don't you know that?" Namjoo questioned as he passed his school bag over to the brunette.

Jooda struggled to find words to say and stuttered instead. Seeing how to crowd hasn't move an inch yet, Namjoo spoke up, "is there anything to see here? Go."

The four bullies scoffed and/or gasped in disappointment. Leaving the scene while shooting daggers at Jooda. The crowd started to disperse as well, and that was when the stage ended. Suwon let out a breath that she didn't even know she was holding and closed her eyes, preparing to leave the scene as well. But before she could do so, someone had accidentally pushed her causing her to stumble and lose balance.

Thankfully, someone had caught her in time, preventing her from falling and possibly hurting more than just her ankle at the height she was in. Still shocked, Suwon panted heavily. Before slowly turning to see who had just saved her.

"You should be more careful," a deep male voice was heard before Suwon could fully turn to see the person. Immediately, just from his voice, the Bae girl knew who was the one that had just saved her a possible death.

"Thanks for the concern," she smiled, standing back up properly while straightening her clothes. Not knowing what to do, the two stood there. Suwon glanced around the school as that's the only thing she could think of doing in that moment. Maybe it was just her that was awkward as it seems like Baek Kyung was unbothered, like he usually is.

"Let's go," the male motioned, "we should head to the lab now. Classes are starting soon."

Suwon stood there for a while, not moving an inch as she processed what the male had just said to her. Once she realized what he had said, she quickly followed him up the stairs. The walk to the lab was quiet between the two childhood friends. Now that she really thought of it, she didn't know much about Baek Kyung. Despite having knowing him for her whole life.

She didn't even know some of the basic stuff. Like what his favorite colour is, what kind of genre he likes, does he even have a favorite colour? As far as she remembered, the only time she was with Baek Kyung when they were young was when Danoh was with them as well. Maybe that is why she didn't know that much about the male?

"You should go first," the girl stated, breaking the silence between them, "I need to go get something from class first."

Baek Kyung stopped walking as she said that and watched her leave to the other direction. After she turned the corner and was out of sight, only then did the male started walking again.

In all honesty, Suwon didn't have anything to take. She just wanted to leave the scene as soon as possible as she felt like her body was betraying her. Her vision started to blurry and her head started to spin a little. Thankfully a chair was in her reach and she used that to balance herself. Unfortunately though, someone had entered the class at the same time she reached over for the chair. Seeming as if she was about to faint.

"Oh my, Suwon. Are you alright?" It was a male's voice. The girl jumped slightly at the voice and turned around tirely to see that it was the class president.

"Just great," she mumbled as she slowly stood back up once her vision started to clear, however her head was still spinning. She gave the class president a reassuring smile, "I'm fine don't need to worry about me. Just a little tired that's all."

"Are you sure? If you can't attend the next class just tell me. You can go rest at the clinic and I can tell the teacher," he offered but Suwon shooked her head, denying her classmate's offer.

"It's alright," she replied. Taking her bottle from her desk, she drank a few gulps before leaving the classroom.

Suwon breathed out heavily as she headed to the lab. Turning a corner, she gasped and froze in place. Oh gosh, here we go again.
