CHAPTER FIVE

Suwon let out a loud gasp as she was now standing in front of her room's full length mirror as she examined herself. The Bae girl was wearing a mintish checkered skirt paired off with a white tshirt and a matching checkered blazer. She sighed and smiled softly at her own reflection but was snapped out of her own thoughts by the sound of one of the house servants through her room doors.

"Miss Suwon? Your friend, Mister Kyung is here," the servant announced after she knocked on the door.

Suwon looked over at the door, replying with an 'okay'. She quickly wore her white strappy 5cm heels and took her brown sling bag and walked out of her room. As she walked down the stairs, Kyung was already waiting by the bottom of it with a bouquet of lavender coloured roses in hand. Once she reached the bottom, the tall male handed it over to her and gave her a small but sincere smile.

"Thank you," Suwon smiled as she held onto the bouquet as they walked over to the opened doors. Where two servants were standing by at each side of it, "you still remember how much I love this shade of purple?"

Baek Kyung hummed and nodded in reply. Suwon smiled to herself and handed the bouquet over to the servant standing by her right, "Chaeseo. Can you place these in a vase in my room?"

"Of course,"

"Thank you," she replied before the two stepped out of the house and headed off to wherever the male was leading them to.

Then the scene changed again. Suwon's closed eyes opened as she let out a gasp. Looking around her surroundings, it was safe to say that they were in a western restaurant. Across from her sat Baek Kyung that was examining the menu. Suwon doing the same as well, "what do you wanna eat?" Suwon questioned, looking up from the menu.

"I'll be getting set B. How about you? Set A?"

Suwon chuckled, "you still remember what I like?"

"Of course I do. How can I forget what you like?" Kyung teased and called over a waiter for them to list down what the two students wanted. Upon hearing his words and the tone he had used, Suwon cringed internally. Who knew someone like him could say that. No, who knew the author could make him say that.

Suwon exhaled loudly as soon as the stage ended. On the other side of the table, Baek Kyung was busy on his phone. One hand reaching out to the glass of water in front of him and took a sip from it. The brunette starred at him for a while, observing his actions before she decided to ask him a question, "what's the special occassion?"

"Don't you remember? It's your birthday," Baek Kyung answered, his voice having no emotion. As he said that, he placed down his phone on the table and looked at Suwon. Awaiting a reply from the girl.

Processing his answer, Suwon's eyes widened. She did not even know which day it exactly was. That made her quickly grabbed her phone that was on the table and turned on the front screen to be met with the date 'August 16'. At that her eyes widened and looked back up at the male.

"It really is my birthday. I didn't even notice," Suwon replied with a chuckle at the end.

Baek Kyung scoffed softly and smirked, "and since you parents aren't around. I thought that we should celebrate together."

"Okay that's enough. where's the Kyung that I know?" The Bae girl questioned, lowkey weirded out by his behaviour tonight.

Her words caused the male to laugh slightly, "I'm being serious right now. I didn't want you to spend your birthday alone."

Suwon bit her lips at his words, "then why didn't you invite the others? I don't know like the rest of A3 and maybe Danoh?"

However at his words, Baek Kyung only smiled. Not bothering to give her any other response. And so the night continued till they were done with their dinner and decided that it wad time to go. To her surprise, the scene hasn't changed yet like she expected it to. As they were walking back home, they were unaware of the eyes that were watching them from a distance.

With a few clicks on their phone, they quickly fled the scene before anoyone noticed their presense. And as soon as the person left, the scene changed. Bringing Suwon to the school's main lobby. Arriving with a loud gasp, the Bae girl looked around confused but stopped once she saw the crows of people infront of her looking at something on the wall.

Suwon raised her eyebrows and pushed her way into the crowd. Once she was close enough, she could finally see what the fuss was about and it was the school trip announcement. Turns out this year they're going somewhere in Korea. On the other end of the crowd, the brunette could hear the short haired female complaining about this year's destination.

"Suwon, let's have a sleepover at my place tonight!" Saemi declared as she and Danoh both made their way towards the taller girl. Danoh nodded excitedly, "come on, join us."

"I think I'll pass. My parents aren't home, wouldn't want my home to be too empty," she rejected which caused a pout to form on Saemi's face. But as soon as it appeared, it disappeared and was replaced with a wide grin, "what if we went over to your place instead!"

"That could work," the girl replied softly and was immediately answered by a squeel from the wavy haired girl infront of her.

So that was what happened that night. The three girls were gathered in the Bae girl's home as they spent the night talking and playing games together. All unaware of the events that will be happening next. The days after that passed by normally with the usual boring scenes. But before they know it the day of the school trip arrived.

Now the Seulli High students were all inside the train. Heading towards their destination. Suwon who sat at the window seats stared at the passing trees outside while the others were currently jamming off to the song "Fancy".

"Hey, Suwon. Come on! Join us!" Danoh shouted over the music as she danced to it with Saemi and the others. Suwon smiled and without knowing why, she glanced over at Baek Kyung who was staring at her. As if waiting for the girl's answer. Looking back at the short haired girl she smiled again.

"I think I will pass this time. I don't feel like it," she answered with the reply she had in mind even before she had saw Kyung looking at her.

Danoh then stared at her, confussed at the girl's answer. The girl might be quiet at times but she would never pass an invite like this. Usually she would give in to Danoh even though she hates it. So after some moments, Danoh shrugged and joined the others again.

She grinned as she watched her friends dance happily but soon her eyes trailed over to the boy sitting at the other corner of the train. This time it was the boy that was staring out of the window with his airpods in his ears. Her staring at him lasted for a few minutes before the male too started to stare at her after realizing that someone was watching him.

so i know i haven't updated a chapter for a while now but i'll try my best to update even more now! sorry for the wait. i hope this chapter was alright and not too boring. i won't make promises but i'll try my best to make the next chapter much longer than this one.
