The trees branch's hit up against the house in the early evening while the autumn wind blew. Josie had her window open and a candle burning. She was folding some of her clothes while Heathers played in the background. It was a movie she secretly loved that wasn't in her horror genre. JD had sparked a fire inside of her the moment her eyes set sight on the character. And the way JD and Veronica worked so well, at least for the small time they did work well, Josie loved it. She did however wish that the movie ended differently. If she could rewrite it slightly, she'd put a twist to it. Either get Veronica to still work with JD or even just tweak it enough so JD survived in order for a sequel. Sequels were always interesting given the right plot line and twist to it.

Her laundry basket was empty with the clothes in their own folded piles. Letting a breath of relief out and taking a moment to look at it all before realizing she had to put it away now. Walking over to her dresser to open one of the top drawers, her eyes fell onto the picture. The one that left her confused. Confused for the future. She sighed before putting a few folded shirts on top of the image. Out of sight, out of mind. At least that's what she kept telling herself.

"Chaos killed the Dinosaurs, Darling."

Josie's attention was pulled away from the screen as her eyes landed on Billy Loomis. He had a black hoodie on and some blue jeans. In her head she made the mental note of how good the boy looked. But she still was pissed off. Everything had went to shit. And now here he was in her bedroom when he was presumed dead to the public. It was hard to get the police to piece together that maybe the two teenagers who were blackmailed to work for Neil Prescott might be dead. Josie had pointed out that if they were still alive, wouldn't the boy who was trying to protect her from her own father come back. After all he went through all that trouble for her. And eventually the bait was taken by the police.

"Jo." He let out, going in to hug her. For a minute she melted into his touch but she quickly pulled away. Not wanting to fall into the trap of getting attached again. Not when she knew he couldn't stay. Him and Stu were wanted men regardless until their bodies were found.

"What are you doing here? Where's Stu?" She asked the boy.

"I had to see you. I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. And he's still recovering. A little pissed that you stabbed him." Billy told her. The girl shook her head.

"Well, it was a long time coming for him." Josie grumbled with her arms crossed.

"It's been killing me not being able to see you." Billy said, trying to reach for her again but she side stepped him.

"Billy, you might be presumed dead. But you're also still wanted. You can't be seen with me." Josie pointed out.

"Nothing can keep me from my girl." Billy grinned which caused her to shift a little in her spot.

"Josie, remember when we talked about getting out of here?" He brought up.

"Yeah, that was before this shit show." Jo began, looking into his eyes as hers turned a little dark. He tried to read her but was coming up short handed in that moment. Unsure of what she was thinking.

"It was a shit show way before what we did." He said.

"I still have things I need to do here, Billy. I can't just leave now. Especially now. It would look too suspicious." Josie told him.

"What things could those possibly be? What's so different now? There's nothing holding us back from being together." He asked confused and a little frustrated that she wasn't happy about this idea.

"It's just different now, Billy. It's not just about us. And maybe one time I was onboard with running away but I can't be anymore. It was before everything changed. Before I found out about Christina." Josie admitted. His eyes widened a little in surprise.

"How did you find out about Christina?" He asked.

"How do you think Billy? We're in high school. People talk. Did you really think you could keep that from me?"

"I love you, Josie. Christina meant nothing. It was a random thing because we got into a fight." Billy tried to explain.

"So you fucked her because we had a fight? Are you that dumb?" Josie roared out. Scoffing at the boy's explanation. He stood there staring at her. Unable to come up with something better to say in order to ease the tension. Josie peered over towards her dresser. Her mind juggling what else she had known but decided that it was best to keep it to herself.

"Billy, you should go. Before the officer comes back to do his rounds. You don't need to be caught right now." Josie told him.

"Jo. Come on. Please." He went to reach for the girl's face but Josie turned away from him. His hands fell to his side a little defeated. Her eyes watered slightly. Not something she would normally get emotional about but she wasn't the one completely behind the wheel of her emotions at that moment. And the harsh reality that this was going to be their goodbye. After everything they talked about, the mess from two weeks ago was what would be keeping them apart.

"Go, Billy."

"I'm not going to stop. When the coast is clear, I'll be back for you. I wont let anyone come between us again. And we can be together. I'll straighten up, be a better man for you." Billy tried to promise. Hoping the girl would turn back to look at him but she stayed glued in her spot. He went to walk back towards the window, but stopped to give her one last kiss. Then he climbed out of the window and disappeared out of sight. Not knowing that he stopped on the roof for a minute debating if he had time to turn back around as he felt his heart crush.

Josie couldn't help but let out a scream in frustration as tears fell down her cheek. She was frustrated, sad, in pain. She felt like she could throw up from the overbearing emotions. The boy outside winced as he felt the pain and anger in her scream. He hit the roof in anger before he took off. He was positive of one thing. He would be back for his girl. But for now he had to get used to watching from a distance.

A knocking sounded on Josie's bedroom door. The girl snapped out of her thoughts. Wiping her face roughly before going to open the door. Sidney appear on the other side, staring at her with concerned eyes.

"Hey, are you alright?" Sidney questioned.

"Oh, yeah. I hit my shoulder on the closet door because I didn't close it. It still hurts like a bitch." Josie lied.

"Well, I was going to go see Randy to talk to Gale. I was wondering if you wanted to come along?" Sidney asked.

"I'm alright. I think I'm going to try and go to bed early. It's been a rough few nights. Tell Randy I said 'hey' though." Josie told Sidney who nodded in response and then disappeared down the stairs. Josie closed her bedroom door and let out a sigh.

Sidney would stay oblivious to what had really went down. And Josie would know parts of what happened. Billy had kept Josie in the dark a lot more than she knew. Now Josie was doing the same thing but with her own new secret. The only difference was a few of Billy's secrets would continue to unravel in time. But for now, the thing that would shape not just Sidney's but Josie's life would be how Sidney tells her side of the story. Heads were going to roll. After all... Josie wasn't done with Sidney quite yet.
