Josie had finished touching up her lip gloss in the mirror of her car. She could already hear the music being blasted from the Macher house with the few scattered people on the front porch. Even though she would rather not be there that night, she knew she had to go. Since the girl knew she was going to have to deal with cleaning up after Billy and especially Stu. They were in over their heads and would never admit that. Josie had a plan, but she wondered how much she would have to fix the plan because of the two idiots.
The older Prescott girl entered the house, being greeted by a few different people on her way towards the kitchen. Her eyes landed on Stu who was pouring beer into a funnel for one of the football players. She rolled her eyes as it spilled everywhere. Stu turned to see her sending her a cheeky smile.
"Look who decided to come. The party started without you." Stu told her.
"It's not like I wanted to be here. Your parties are usually ass anyway." Josie said which made him scoff.
"Yeah, sure." He was slightly offended by her words.
"The caterer is here." Tatum announced as she walked into the kitchen with a bag of food in her hands and Sidney following closely behind her.
"You're a little late." Stu informed Tatum who shrugged.
"She had to make her grand entrance. Don't you know, Tatum always goes out in style." Josie commented, the girl smiled at Josie but the Prescott girl's face remained neutral.
"So, Sid. What made you decide you wanted to come tonight after everything was going on?" Josie wondered.
"I wanted a little break." Sidney told her.
"No other reason?" Josie asked.
"Yeah, maybe so she could talk to Billy." Stu pointed out.
"Umm, no. Stu you said he wasn't coming. He doesn't need to be around Sidney or Josie right now. I think we all need a break from Billy Loomis." Tatum said. The Riley girl could have been right, but as Stu and Josie looked at each other briefly, they knew Billy was someone who never was going to go away.
"I mean, I should probably talk to him though. Maybe just clear things up." Sidney said. Josie rose her brow as she tried to read her sister. She had a hunch there was more to it. What Josie didn't know was that Sidney was hoping she and Billy could work things out, and maybe find out if he still wanted her. If Josie knew that was her sister's intentions, she would've instantly waved her flag to let Billy go on with his own plan without her interfering.
They all had eventually made their way into the living room where Randy was doing a show of hands on which movie they should put on first to watch. Most of them had a beer in their hands, cheering at the options. Josie sat there unamused, picking at her nail polish. James had come around the corner to sit next to her.
"You came to the party." He commented.
"Yeah. Why did you think I wouldn't?" Josie questioned.
"Well, I just thought about Casey being killed and your mom's anniversary...." James trailed off when he saw the deadly look in Josie's eyes.
"I just figured you would stay home. That's all." He said.
"Well, turns out you don't know me as much as you think you do." Josie said before turning her attention back to the movie conversation. Her head felt like it was going to explode, a sudden migraine had appeared and the pain made her want to throw up. She was getting too stressed over everything and she wanted a break from all of the mess.
"How come Jamie Lee Curtis is in all of these movies?" Sidney questioned.
"Because she's the Scream Queen." Randy said.
"With a set of lungs like that." Stu smirked.
"Tits. See." Tatum pointed out that being the main reason for why the boys seemed to love the horror movie actress. The doorbell went off which caused Stu to jump over the couch. He stopped before looking at Tatum.
"Grab me another beer, would ya?" He asked his girlfriend.
"What am I, the beer-wench?" Tatum rolled her eyes.
"I mean it's beer-wench or the regular title of 'girlfriend'." Josie shrugged. All eyes had soon turned to Dewey walking in with Gale Weathers.
"You gotta be kidding me right now." Josie let out annoyed.
Josie had stood up from her spot on the couch to make her way out of the room. Hitting Stu upside the head for letting the news reporter in. Josie was just getting tired of seeing her and wanted a break from seeing and hearing Gale constantly. While Josie was walking down the hall she had seen James over with Heather making out. Rolling her eyes she continued out back to her car. She grabbed the bag from her backseat before heading back towards the house when she heard the gravel moving under boots behind her. Sighing, the girl was quick to make her way around the back of the house before dropping her bag and turning around to face Billy Loomis who had his own bag with him.
"I was starting to think you weren't going to show up. It was making me think I came to this party for nothing." Josie said.
"I had to get some things ready." He told her.
"Mhhmm. So who's it going to be first? Another random? Or someone I know?" She wondered.
"I was thinking maybe James. He's a little overdue. Unless you have any complaints about that also." Billy said. Josie raised her eyebrows up seeing that the boy was trying to test her.
"I'd say go ahead, but I think you killing him would just be sloppy." Josie decided to rile him up a bit with how he does things. He scoffed, glaring at the girl in front of him.
"Ironic coming from you who doesn't do any of the work. You're all bark, no bite." Billy clicked his tongue. She got closer to him, looking up at the boy with dark eyes.
"Well, we just have to see where the night goes, won't we." She said as the tension built up between them. He began to lean down going to connect their lips but the girl bent down to grab her bag and began to walk away from the boy.
"Time is ticking." Josie called out before she disappeared around the corner.
