Chapter 14
"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" Millie pulled away from Lilia. "I don't know what came over me, I jus-"
Lilia cut her off by kissing her again. Millie kissed her back, and soon one kiss turned into five, into ten, and countless more.
And soon Millie had Lilia right where she wanted her.

Millie smoothed her new short dark hair while glancing over her appearance.
Turns out when you got a people a little riled they told you whatever you needed to know and in Lilia's case it was just the right thing to do.
Lilia had told Millie everything she needed to know to imcriminate both Ashes and Roses.
She didn't need to but it would be a good cushion in case her plan backfired.
She tiptoed from the house before even the cat could notice she was gone. In an outfit like Millie's her daddy would have her head.
She looked like one of those girls you're parents said not to come around when you were kids.
Her thigh length leather skirt and red halter top paired with a flannel and Converse. She looked like a night clubber rather than a chief's daughter.
She made it to the Madhatter in record time, slipping through before the smokers outside could say a word.
The club was nothing like she remembered. No neon lights, barely any drinks littered the bar, and few people sat inside.
The tall, blue eyed boy she had seen before stood behind the bar still.
He whistled a little at her. "Well look at you little preacher's daughter."
Millie rolled her eyes. "I'm here for your boyfriend not you, small fry." She sat at the bar.
"Ashes isn't here right now." Will replied. "He's out on business."
"I can wait."

Lilia yawned and stretched. She had expected to find Millie laying with her so when her hand found nothing but cold sheets she was confused.
Had Millie already gotten up or had she scared her off last night? She hadn't meant to scare her really.
The bedroom door creaked open to who she expected was Millie. Lilia turned over and waited. "Mills?"
The medium sized boy who walked through the door was, however, not Millie. His brown hair was messily in his eyes, and a ballcap turned back made him look like a wannabe street kid. This was the kid she had met at the library. Oh what was his name?
He didn't seem to hear or notice Lilia as he flopped onto the bed. "I was thinking," he began. "About this Cameron thing."
It sounded to Lilia as though he was testing the waters with that name. Like it might set Millie off.
She made a mental note of this.
"Maybe we should tell your dad he's harassing you, M." He was looking at the ceiling. "Maybe then he'd stop and you wouldn't end up like Madds did."
At those words Lilia had to ask. "What happened to Madison, Noah?"
Noah jumped, placing a hand to his heart. "You aren't Millie." He looked at her. "You're the chick from the library."
"Exactly, I'm Lilia. Now talk."
Noah didn't say anything for a long moment. "Well...."

If there was one thing Asher Angel didn't like it was being bossed around by teenage cheerleaders who got their way by whining to their cop daddys about life.
And to him, Millie Harbour was exactly that. She was everything wrong with society today. She worked for nothing and got everything.
So imagine his surprise when she arrived on the arm of his best and closest girl friend Lilia. He couldn't believe she would be mad enough to bring a cop's daughter into his club.
He was even more surprised when Annie told him that the very same dark brunette was waiting for him at the bar.
He made his way into the main area of the Madhatter and scanned for her. There she sat at the bar, a blue notebook open in front of her.
"Miss Harbour." He greeted politely, a grin on his lips. "What might I do for you today?"
Millie wasn't falling for his charm this time. "I need your help, Angel, and I'm willing to bargain for it."
He tilted his head to the side a little. "What do you possibly have to bargain for my help?"
She spun the notebook so he could see it and smirked. "Everything on anyone you love from your boy toy over there, to your little sister London, and everything in between." She didn't sound like the Millie he saw at formal events or even the one he used to live near years ago.
"I normally don't do things like this." She continued. "But you see I need your help with a little project of mine. So either you help or I sell all this to my daddy and the rival gang both."
Millie had him in the palm of her hand and she knew it too. All it took was a kiss.
Maddie had taught her well.
