CHAPTER ONE | 장
❝I'LL BE YOUR KNIGHT
IN SHINING ARMOR.❞
━━━━━━━━━
Since then, M/n has been seeing more and more of Goo.
Although it was not as frequent as he expected since Goo revealed that he had a job that he sadly needs to finish first. And of course, M/n understood that.
And it's not like he was longing for the fake blonde's presence anyway.
Though, unfortunately— it was one of those days where Goo was free 24/7, he told M/n about how he had done well in his job that he was awarded a free day, and of course; Goo being Goo, he slipped in a word that he had some inspiration.
It was cliche, sappy, etc. And yet, M/n oddly didn't mind at all.
He had grown used to Goo's annoying company, even making himself more comfortable and less tense around him. It was safe to say that M/n was easing up.
And this marks the 3rd week that he's been around the male.
His schedule was still the same though. Home, school, cram school, and then home. He was told to go straight home after cram school and not waste any more time, though they have been generous enough for the past few days to allow him to be out late for past an hour of his curfew.
This time, M/n wasn't even sure if they'd be as kind.
But, it was already too late for that. As usual, M/n saw Goo at the end of the street, patiently waiting for him. And all of M/n's worries came to an end.
Whenever he was around the energetic male, M/n would feel the most free around him. Goo had a wave of air around him that told that he was as free as a bird, nothing held him back from what he wanted to do.
It was in contrast to M/n's uptight life.
That was why he had always felt like he could finally breathe whenever he was around Goo.
"Is something bothering you?"
M/n was snapped back to reality as he exited the building. The classes of extra school work were finally done and Goo was glad to spend some more time with him.
"It's nothing. Just schoolwork." M/n explained, shrugging it off as he reassured the fake blonde so that he wouldn't overreact again.
"Where do you want to go this time?" Goo questioned, looking around to search for a more ideal romantic spot, as always.
"A park sounds nice."
Squinting his eyes further, the blonde finally caught sight of a bench that fits 2 people perfectly. It was not as big as a normal bench and was designed for people to sit closer. It was the perfect spot for Goo.
"I see a bench, come on!"
Soon enough, Goo's wishes were fulfilled as M/n sat on the bench. The two were seated, and while the boy wouldn't have paid any mind to the way they sat— it was hard not to, especially when their shoulders were touching too unnaturally.
It did not take time for him to realize.
"You know you don't have to force your shoulder to touch mine, right?" M/n pointed out, exposing Goo who immediately looked away.
"What do you mean? It's completely natural." He gestured.
"Sure, because your shoulder rotated counterclockwise is totally natural."
Goo pouted after being exposed before he sat properly, still joyous that they were somehow sitting close.
"I can't stay out too late today." M/n told, watching as Goo stubbornly didn't bother to take that in. "I still have a lot to study about, exams are fast approaching."
"You're making it sound like you won't have time for me." The fake blonde whined.
"Well, it's not necessary that I have to make time for you, right? As far as I know, you're just a stalker." M/n casually said. "And I already told you, it's pointless to be interested in me."
"But you love this stalker." Goo grinned.
After getting no response, Goo's grin was immediately replaced with a frown.
"Hey, you love this stalker. . . Right?"
"In fact, I don't." M/n bluntly stated, but Goo didn't take it to heart.
"Well, soon you will! It's much too early right now." The fake blonde waved dismissively.
M/n glanced at his watch again, lips forming into a thin line as he observed the time. It was honestly irritating to Goo, his beloved was barely paying any attention to him and he was envious of how much M/n was paying more mind to the time.
Goo just wanted for the boy to enjoy his time with him genuinely, without counting down the seconds.
"We're on a date, you should pay more attention to me."
"Date? This isn't a date."
"I take it as a date." Goo interjected. "So, instead of looking at your watch all the time, you should converse with me instead."
Goo proved himself to be difficult. But M/n didn't pay any attention at all, he was honestly worried with the time. He should be home by the next 10 minutes and yet, here he was— getting too comfortable with the male with dyed blonde hair.
He couldn't help it though.
Deciding that it was enough, Goo reached to grab M/n's wrist, with no means of harm. And in instinct, M/n brought his arm away, making Goo hold onto air.
"You can't get rid of my watch, Goo. I need it to see the time."
"That's enough about time! You're supposed to enjoy the day with me." Goo reached again but failed once more. He really didn't try all that hard to avoid hurting the boy.
"That's selfish, I have my own schedule too." M/n moved his arm out of the way again.
"M/n, please give me your arm." Goo calmly sighed. "I just want you to forget about time when you're with me. And I don't care if you call it selfish."
The high school student stared, moved by his words but still visibly hesitant.
But it was not long before he gave in and held out his arm, waiting for Goo to do whatever he was intending to.
Brightening up, the fake blonde reached his arm, gently taking off the watch before putting it in his pockets. M/n was baffled to see it.
"Did you just rob me?"
"I didn't!" Goo defensively spoke. "I'm just gonna replace it with a better one."
Honestly, M/n could feel just how empty his wrist was without his watch. But after feeling the cool metal against his arm, he turned to see that Goo was already replacing it with a new one.
"There!" The fake blonde exclaimed happily. "Take a look."
M/n glanced at it and saw a watch with an obnoxious picture of Goo printed at the top. It replaced the clock you would usually see.
"It's better, isn't it?"
The high school student shook his head. "It's rather annoying."
"Just admit it, you love it, don't you?" Goo grinned, he received no response but he didn't mind at all. "It's okay if you haven't realized how you love me yet. I'll be patient!"
Love. That was an odd word that hasn't associated M/n for the entirety of his lifetime. He was taught to only think about the success and his future. He didn't know for sure just what it was and how it felt.
Was it possible that he could feel it with the obnoxious blonde? He wasn't sure. But he's the closest to the human contact he has, it was his first to socialize this much.
"Hey, Goo."
The blonde immediately perked up and paused on his ramble about cars.
"Can you hold my hand?"
He didn't even stutter. Goo was greatly perplexed but he did not complain, rather— he was enjoying how straightforward M/n was being. Perhaps this way, the boy would realize he was also in love and they would have their own happy ending.
The fake blonde didn't hesitate to carefully interlace their fingers before pushing their palms against each other. It made him grin in content before sitting back.
"It feels nice, doesn't it?"
M/n didn't reply.
"If you wanted to hold my hand all this time, all you had to do was ask me earlier." Goo told with a wide smile.
M/n was too caught up in the moment to mind his words. He didn't understand how it made him feel but one thing he did notice was how his hand perfectly fitted in his.
