Chapter 9: Help, what's res-pon-si-belle?
Before that guy who saw me could run away, I tackled him to the ground.
He landed chest-forward while I was at his back, holding both his hands.
"Don't move. I might kill you." I said.
"How do you even kill a person with a candy cane?!" He exclaimed.
"First, you stab-"
"I don't wanna know!" He yelled.
"Sheesh, fine. You were asking so I just answered. And please shut up. People might here you." I told him.
"Let me go!" He said.
I brought out a knife from my pocket, "Still gonna yell?"
He looked at me, then the knife, then back at me. He shook his head and sighed.
I took handcuffs I brought and handcuffed him.
"Are those handcuffs?!" He demanded.
"Yes." I replied.
I took out my phone and dialed Kylie's number. She didn't pick up.
"This is K-"
I tried calling again and this time she picked up.
"Woman, why in Earth did you not pick up the first time?!" I exclaimed.
"Uhm. This is Kera. Is that you Dayana? How's the mission?" Kera, a member of our gang, asked.
I giggled, "Someone saw me. Recruit or kill?"
"DON'T KILL, DAYANA!" She yelled from the other side.
I had to put the phone away from my ear from how loud she yelled.
"Sheesh woman! What if he's related to one of the other gangs?!" I yelled.
I heard the guy who saw me take a hard gulp.
"Call Leon." Kera replied and hung up.
"Kay? Kay!" I yelled. "Ugh, Leon it is then."
"L-Lion?" The guy stammered.
I giggled, "It's Leon, honey."
"Who's that?" He asked.
"Curiosity killed the cat." I told him.
"But satisfaction saved it." He retorted.
I snorted but didn't say anything else. I just dialed Leon's number.
After two rings, he finally picked up.
"What did you do?" He asked me.
"Hello to you too." I said with a giggle.
"What did you do?" He repeated himself, ignoring my greeting.
I pouted, "You can't trust me?"
"Shouldn't you be in a mission? And I can sense you're pouting." He told me.
I huffed, "There's guy who saw me killing Freddy-"
"Is Frederick dead?" He asked me, cutting me off.
"Well, yeah. But how 'bout this guy? He saw me. What if-"
"What's his name?" He asked, cutting me off again,
"Now you're just being rude by not letting me finish. And how the hecking heck would I know his name?" I demanded, getting impatient.
"Just ask." Leon told me.
"Hey, what's your name?" I asked this guy next to me.
"Why do you ask? Wait, aren't you Autumn?" He asked.
"How do you know me?" I demanded.
"We go to the same school together. You know, Xander Bryer?" He reminded me.
I furrowed my eyebrows and went back to the phone.
"I asked. He told me his name is Xander Bryer." I told Leon.
"DON'T KILL HIM!" Leon yelled, making me put the phone farther from my ear.
"LEON, I CAN HEAR YOU JUST FINE!" I yelled back.
"Sorry. But don't kill him. He's a Bryer." He told me, "Ask him if his father is Xavier Bryer."
I rolled my eyes and giggled.
"Is you dad Xavier Bryer?" I asked Xander.
"Well, ye-"
"He said yes." I told Leon, not bothering to let Xander finish.
"But how do you know?" I heard Xander ask.
"His father used to be in this gang. In fact, he was the co-leader." Leon told me.
I nodded, "Gonna pick us up then? I don't think people seeing this guy handcuffed with me holding a knife is a good scene."
"Alright, where are you?" He asked me.
"You know the place where I nearly killed a thief?" I reminded him.
"Say no more." He said in a British tone, making me giggle.
I looked back at Xander who was looking at his feet uncomfortably.
I stuck my tongue out like a cat, "Hey, Xandere."
He looked at me and smiled, "I'm not a Tsundere, though."
I was taken aback. He knows a Dere?!
"I'm more of a Deredere." He told me.
"Who are you?! How do you know the Dere types?!" I exclaimed.
"My sister is an- Otaku, is that it?" He said, confused.
I looked at him with wide eyes, "No. Liar. Liar."
He smiled in a sweet-ish way, "I'm not lying."
I pouted, "Really? Do you know who L is, then?"
"Death note." He replied with a smirk.
"Levi?" I tested.
"Attack o-"
"No way!" I squealed.
"Minene?" I asked again.
"Mirai Nikki, try harder please." He said with a taunting smirk.
"Rin?" I tested once more.
"Blue Exorsist." He said with a smile.
"Togami?" I tested again.
"Danganronpa the animation." He replied.
My jaw dropped, "How about Izaya?"
"Durarara!" He said, actually yelling.
I giggled as a car pulled over.
I opened the backseat and Xander went in while I rode shotgun.
"I contacted your father Xander, he says he will be having a talk with you." Leon told Xander.
I look at the rearview mirror and see him nod.

"Dayana, you will train Xander since—" Leon was cut off when I suddenly said—
"What?!" I exclaimed, falling out of my seat.
"You have to be responsible for your acts. You were careless." Xander's mother, Elliane, told me.
I looked at Xavier, Xander's father, to see what ha has to say.
"You're Cold Blooded Gang's ace, right? I think it would be best if you were the one to train him." Xavier told me.
"But I-"
"And you kind of are careless." He added.
I looked at Xavier who was biting his lower lip.
"It's better to be responsible, love." Elliane told me.
I tilted my head, "Res-pon-si-belle?"
"Okay, she's back to her normal self. Which means a yes by the way." Leon announced.
"You mean Ana will train me?" Xander suddenly asked.
I giggled, "I don't know if you don't know, but here, I'm Dayana."
"What's the difference? Ana is a nickname and Dayana is your real name." He retorted.
"Ana and Dayana are different persons." Leon told him.
"What?! Are you telling me there are two Dayana's?!" Xander exclaimed.
I gigged, "You'll understand soon enough."
