Chapter 6: Suspended for one week? Who cares.
I went straight to the bathroom and locked the door.
If girls wanna pee or just look at their ugly faces on the mirror, they can go to the boy's bathroom or something.
"Justine, Justine, Justine." I repeated, giggling, "You really tested me today."
"No killing those we know aren't a threat." Leon said, holding me back.
"Lee! He robbed that store. Are we just gonna sit here and do nothing?!" I yelled still trying to break free.
"Dayana, let's not meddle in other people's business." He told me.
"No, Leon, listen to me. Please, listen to me." I pleaded but he still didn't resist.
Tears were falling down my eyes, "Lee, I need to help them!"
"Dayana, you listen. When you meddle in other's business, you will get hurt." He lectured me.
"B-But-"
"The next time you will try to kill someone that doesn't serve as a threat to our gang, you will know what will happen." He told me.
"Leon... what if it's a threat to my life, huh?" I asked in disbelief.
"It's a threat to our gang since you're part of our gang and I wouldn't want to lose you." He replied.
I chose to ignore the last part. "What if they hurt me, just a little bit?"
"Still no, you have to face the consequences." Leon replied.
I touched the scar on my left hand.
"Don't want this to happen aga-"
"Open the door the frickin' door already stupid person!" A girl yelled, banging on the door.
I giggled, "How would you feel if you lost a friend?"
"Stop saying nonsense and just open this door! You don't own this school!" She yelled, "You bi***!"
Alright, she's testing me.
I opened the door in Super Sonic speed and grabbed her arm.
"What did you call me?" I growled darkly.
"A-Ana?" She asked, confused for a moment.
Oh, this is one of those cheerleaders who would always try hard to catch attention. What was her name again? Oh, right, Jennifer.
"Hello, Niffy." I said, smiling as wide as I can. "Did you know that bitch is a female dog?"
"Wh-why are you-"
"I guess that's a way of telling me I'm cute, but eh. I think you meant it in an offensive manner." I cut her off.
"What are you babbling on about, you stupid blonde?!" Jennifer yelled.
Oh, she did not just call me stupid. Blondes aren't stupid! Idiot!
"I'm not stupid." I said, gripping her hand tighter.
Everyone was starting to whisper at this rate.
She yelled from the pain, "Stop! You're hurting me!"
"Oh yeah? Who gives a damn?" I said with a giggle.
She looked at me like I was crazy, which I am. Actually, no. I'm not Crazy. I'm Dayana.
See what I did there?
"What is going on here, Ms. Autumn? Ms. Samuels?" Someone demanded.
I let Jennifer's hand go and smirked at our principal, Mrs. Morgan.
It's funny how people actually believe my last name is Autumn when truth is, it's my middle name.
"Yes, Mrs. Morgan?" I asked innocently.
"Were you picking a fight with Ms. Samuels?" She asked, motioning to Jennifer.
I gasped sarcastically, "What a remarkable observation of the obvious."
"Are you being sarcastic with me?" She demanded.
"Wow, you're so smart. You even figured that out?" I said with a giggle.
"How dare— office. Now." She said, her nose flaring.
I pointed at Jennifer, "How 'bout her? She was cursing calling me a female dog!"
"Why did she call you that exactly?" Mrs. Morgan asked.
"Mrs. Morgan, she was locking the bathroom door as if this school was hers!" Jennifer tattled.
This little...
Mrs. Morgan grabbed my wrist and started to drag me to her office.
"I don't wanna!" I whined like a little girl.
"Then what do you want?" She demanded.
"I want pepsi, Dylan O'Brien to meet me- if possible kiss me- a chocolate cake, a vanilla ice cream, a strawberry milkshake, to be in a book, fries, pizza, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, and for you to get your hands off of me." I replied with a giggle.
She ignored me.
"How rude of you to ignore me when I just answered your question." I said in disbelief.
"And how rude of you to take my question too literally." She retorted.
I giggled, "Can't argue with that."
We finally reached her office. Sure glad the faculty office and the principal office are separated. I wouldn't want to go through that 'walk of shame'.
Mrs. Morgan made me sit down on one of the chairs and told me to wait while she calls my parents.
Parents? Wait, Lawrence, Leon's brother, serves as my parents.
Well, shit.
Lawrence is not gonna like this. Well, by Lawrence, I mean he's not gonna like telling this to Leon since he knows that Leon will get hella mad at me.
"No. No. No. My name is no." I started singing, "Wait, what was I thinking about again? Oh right, Lawrence."
I looked for my bag and found something weird hanging in my ID lace.
"Wait, I thought I lost this keychain?" I questioned.
Well, I can't use this, otherwise Leon will be angrier.
"What do you do? You think, think, think." I sang again, forgetting my current situation.
Mrs. Morgan suddenly burst into the room, making me fall off my chair.
"Geez, you scared me!" I yelled, "Even seven-year-olds know that you should knock before entering."
Mrs. Morgan narrowed her eyes at me as if she couldn't believe what I just said.
She sat down behind her desk and pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen.
"Your guardian will be here in ten minutes, as they said. As we wait, you will write about the things you did and show it to your guardian."
I pouted and started to scribble something down and waited for ten minutes until-
"Ah, Mr. Carter, glad of you to join us." Mrs. Morgan said.
I looked back and saw Leon.
Uh-oh.
I mouthed to him, 'I did nothing'.
He shook his head and sat down next to me.
"What did Dayana do, Mrs. Morgan?" Leon asked her.
"She will be the one telling you that, sir." She replied.
Leon narrowed his eyes at me as if saying, 'If it's something bad, I'll eat your Snickers.'
I pouted and gave him the paper.
"I didn't do anything." Leon read aloud and looked at me with a blank face.
"What?" Mrs. Morgan demanded.
"Can you please be honest? Why am I here?" Leon asked me.
"Well, the reason I locked the bathroom door is because Justine slapped me for something-"
"Liar!" Mrs. Morgan yelled, "Ms. Autumn, you are suspended for a week. Due to causing two fights in one day."
"Psh, who cares?" I said with a shrug.
Leon glared at me but I just ignored him. I mean, it's just one week? What could go wrong?
Leon and Mrs. Morgan talked a bit more before we finally got to leave.
"Are you mad, Lee?" I asked him when we reached his car.
"I'm not. Lawrence just pissed me off more since he didn't come even though he knows I'm busy." Leon replied.
I looked down at my hand, "Am I going to face the consequences again?"
Leon hugged me. "No. Are you okay?"
I leaned my head on his chest, "Yes. I mean, I'm Dayana the great. It was just a few slaps."
He looked at me and hit the back of my head.
"Ow! What's wrong with you, stupid octopus?" I demanded.
"You're such a wild cat. Meow." He said, pinching my cheeks.
"How am I a cat?" I demanded.
"How am I an octopus?" He asked back.
"Well-" I started to think, "I got nothing. Now, why am I a cat?"
"Cats are cute and you always stick your tongue out like a cat." He replied, poking my nose.
I wrinkled my nose, "Shut up."
He laughed and went inside his car. I rolled my eyes and went to the front seat.
"You know, you really are cute." Leon told me.
I stuck my tongue out like a cat.
