Chapter 23: Wait, I have school today?

"Oh no..." Kylie said as I jumped off my bed on to hers.

"Please help me! Help me, help me, help, help me!" I exclaimed.

"No!" She said and got off her bed.

"He ripped!" I said, eyes teary.

"It's your fault for not being careful, stupid." Kylie told me, growling a little bit.

I frowned.

Mr. Pattyface ripped... I shouldn't have have left him with my toys.

"Hey, don't cry. It's just a plush toy, just buy a new one." Kylie tild me.

I huffed in frustration.

This can't be happening, right? That was the last thing Travis gave me.

I sighed, "I'll just sew it up."

"Do you know how to?" Kylie asked.

I shrugged, "How hard can it be?"

"You don't know, do you?" She accused.

"Yup, do you?" I asked her.

"Nope. Anyone in the gang know how to?" She asked.

"Nah. We're gangsters Kyles, not torturers." I said, smirking a little.

"What does that have to do with sewing?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Torturers sew mouths of their victims." I informed her.

"What the heck." Kylie said and gagged a little.

"Ew, don't imagine it!" I scolded her.

"I can't stop imagining it." She said and rushed to the bathroom.

Well, that was unexpected.

I went over to Mr. Pattyface and examined him.

"Poor you. Sorry for leaving you with my knives, now you have a wound at the side." I said and giggled.

Oh gosh, I'm crazy.

I took a sewing kit from my drawer— I never use it, stop giving me that look.

What was that? Why do I have it when I don't use it? Simple, it's colorful.

I took a needle and yellow thread- since Mr. Pattyfsce's body is made out of fries.

I suddenly had a flash of when my mother would sew clothes for my dolls while Travis and I play-

... play tag.

I sighed, "I thought I said I would forget about that." I blinked, "I just used three I's in one sentence."

I started to sew, trying my best.

"I guess this is okay?" I said when I finished.

It was good, I managed to repair it. I think.

The rip was gone so...

"Hey, I'm done." Kylie suddenly went out of the bathroom, wearing different clothes and her hair soaked.

"Were there extra clothes in the bathroom?" I said with a giggle, "Or did you use used clothes?

"'Use used'?" She asked, tilting her head to the side, "And there were extra clothes."

I giggled and showed her Mr. Pattyface, "Ta-da!"

"And you said you didn't know how to sew." She said with a smile.

I giggled and hugged Mr. Pattyface close to my chest.

"Don't you have school today?" Kylie asked me.

"What?" I said, freezing for a moment.

"It's Monday and-" she looked at the clock, "-7:50 AM."

I giggled, "Right. Of course I remembered we had school today."

She facepalmed, "Take a bath. Now."

I pouted and took my towel.

"Hello." I said in a sing-song voice as I opened the door.

"... the law- Oh, Ms. Autumn." Mrs. Edna greeted dryly.

"Hello." I greeted again in a sing-song voice.

"Did you just arrive?" She asked.

"Yup. The halls were already empty when I came so I-" I was cut off when I felt a shiver up my spine.

Well, good luck A-

Wait, what?

I looked around to see that I was in the classroom, apparently disturbing a class.

My face flushed bright red, "S-sorry for being late?"

Mrs. Edna narrowed her eyes at me and told me to go to my seat.

I lowered my head and scurried to my seat.

"Why were you late?" Someone beside me whispered.

I looked up and was surprised to see Jacob next to me.

"Why're you sitting next to me?" I whispered back.

"I sat here when we first met. Now I'm just used to sitting here." He answered.

I nodded.

"Are you gonna answer my question?" He asked again.

"Oh... I think Dayana forgot it's Monday." I answered casually, "Which I wish she would stop doing."

He nodded and looked back at the board, paying more attention to what Mrs. Edna is saying.

I sighed and took out my textbook on page-

"Uh, what page are we?" I asked Jacob.

"One hundred forty-three." He replied, then immediately looked away.

H-he just said 143.

Why's my heart beating so fast? Help me, I don't think this is healthy.

I blushed and turned to that page, mumbling out a 'thanks' to Jacob.

Before we could go to second period, Mrs. Edna told us to pass our three-paged essay.

I rummaged through my bag, looking for it.

"Ms. Autumn? Today is the due date, isn't that correct?" Mrs. Edna said.

I flushed, "I-I forgot it at home, Mrs. Edna."

"Really? Your dog didn't eat it?" She asked sarcastically.

I looked down in embarrassment, "I'm sorry Mrs. Edna."

I hear her sigh, "You have until tomorrow to pass it."

I looked up, "Thank you."

She shooed me off to second period and I leaned on the door after it slamming shut.

I sighed and started walking towards second period, art.

At least it's my favorite subject.

I reached the art room and went to sit down on one of the round tables that had three chairs around them and three palettes and three drawing notebooks.

"Huh, we must be working in three's." I mumbled.

"Hi Dayana!" A cheerful voice greeted.

I flinched and looked at who called.

Austin was by the door, waving cheerfully at me with a huge grin.

I smiled back, "Hi Austin."

He sat on the seat beside me, "So I guess we do have a subject together."

I chuckled, "I guess so."

"Kitian also has this subject. Wonder where he is..." Austin trailed off.

"Austin." I said calmly, "What did you do?"

"Nothing, I swear!" He said, putting his arms up in defense.

"Please be honest with me." I said with a sigh.

"I may or may not have put a spider on his shirt, and he has a huge fear of spiders." He said sheepishly.

"You what?" I asked in disbelief.

"I just said-"

"Austin, I will kill you!" A roaring voice said out of nowhere.

Well then.
