Chapter 16: Roxxane and Xana, team Rocket!

I groaned. Wasn't that just tiring?

Finally, school is over. Wonder what time Dayana will come and take over her amazing body.

"Hey." Someone called out.

I jumped out of shock and fell flat on my butt. Xander looked at me, amused, then held out a hand for me.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"Are we having practice today?" He asked.

I shrugged, "Dunno. It's Dayana's decision."

I felt a chill up my spine.

"What were you saying?" I asked with a giggle.

"Do we have practice?" Xander asked.

"Yup. I'll go to CBG now. See you!"

Before I could take two steps, Xander suddenly grabbed my wrist.

"What?" I asked him.

He looked down, "Uhm, I was wondering, uh, maybe I could take you there."

I giggled, "Nah, I can take care of myself."

"No- I mean, I just wanna take you there myself, like a gentleman." Xander said sheepishly.

"Chivalry is dead." I told him.

Xander smiled, "And I'm here to prove it isn't."

I tilted my head to the side and hit the back of his head.

"Ow!" He exclaimed and rubbed his head, freeing my hand.

"And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you free your hand from a stupid idiot saying chivalry is his best friend." I announced.

Xander rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand again.

"I don't wanna come with you!" I whined.

"Xander?" A high-pitched voice called out.

Xander turned around, making me twirl since he was still holding my wrist.

"Idiot, make sure you're not holding someone's wrist before turning around like that." I scolded him.

He rubbed his head sheepishly and let go of my hand, "Sorry."

I looked at the girl who called out to Xander. It was a brunette girl with big blue eyes.

"Why are you with a girl, Xander?" She demanded.

"Xana, this is-" he was cut off when the girl grabbed his collar.

"You're not stupid enough to go beyond dad's orders, are you?" She demanded.

Dad? Since Xander is a rich boy, it's possible to have arrange marriage, and this girl must be his soon to be bride.

Ooh, I'm smart.

"Dayana, are you listening?" Xander asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"No." I said bluntly.

He groaned, "Can you not space out?"

"Don't talk to a girl like that." The girl and I said at the same time.

He ignored us, "Dayana, this is Xana, my older sister."

"She's the one who loves anime, right?" I asked.

"Yup." Xana answered.

"I'm Dayana, from CGB." I told her, "Nice to see 'ya."

She smiled brightly, "You're part of the gang? O-M-G! This has gotta be a dream!'

I giggled, "Well it isn't. This is a place where pain is real and pain is going to hunt us all down into our doom."

"What?" Xander and Xana ask at the same time.

"Ignore me." I told them.

"Xander, are you going to CGB? Can I come? Please?" Xana pleaded.

"Of course." Xander said.

"Not." I added.

"What?" Xana asked, frowning.

"First, even if you are part of Xavier's family, you're still not a CBG member and..." I trailed off.

"And?" She asked.

I can't just say I'm suspicious of her because of Roxxane, her best friend.

How do I know? Her shirt matches Roxxane's... and the text was 'My bitch' with an arrow pointing to the left/right.

Speaking of which, didn't she say we were gonna hang out today?

"Dayana! Yo, we still gonna head out?" Roxxane suddenly popped out.

That's weird and suspicious at the same time. I don't like the looks of this.

"Yup." I said, popping the p.

"But aren't you taking me to-" Xana was cut off when I gave her the look not to say it.

"Stop glaring at my sister." Xander scolded me.

I glared at him this time. Does he want the CBG ace and rookie to die?!

"Shut up." I told him and turned my attention towards Roxxane, "What's the plan?"

"I thought of going to this old factory. Wanna go vandal it?" Roxxane suggested.

Huh, an abandoned factory. What a classic place to kill someone.

I looke at her pocket and saw a glint of what seems to be a blade.

"Hey, can I see what's in your pocket?" I asked.

I saw Xander glance at me, making me see that he was catching on.

Roxxane's smile dropped, "Why would you wanna see what's in my pocket?"

"Just a random thought. I wanna see what's on your right pocket." I said.

"You're on to me, aren't you?" She accused.

I gasped innocently, "You can't trust me? I see."

"Dayana." Xander called out, "Let's go."

Xana went over to Roxxane, "Xander, I'm gonna go over at Roxxane's."

Xander nodded.

"Wait, you two know each other?" I questioned.

"Yeah, we're friends." Roxxane replied.

"Nice, so how did the two of you meet?" I asked.

"An anime convention." Xana immediately replied, "Shouldn't you guys be going?"

I smiled sweetly and turned around as my smile melted into a straight line.

I looked behind my shoulder to see that Roxxane and Xana were having a normal conversation.

Pft, I said normal.

-

They got to a good distanc enough so they couldn't hear us when Roxxane spoke.

"She ruined it." She said, frowing a bit.

"I know. But I feel a little guilty now. What about my brother?" I asked.

"If you were gonna be a coward, you shouldn't have agreed to this." Roxxane told me.

I glared at her, "I'm not being a coward. If you had a family, you would know how it fee-"

I was cut off when she grabbed my collar, "I don't need a family to prove myself."

"Is that why you're only friend is me? Or are you just using me, like you used your family?" I asked her with a smirk.

"I never used anyone!" She exclaimed.

I removed her hand from my collar, "You're useless. You also used Freddy, who died."

"Freddy is like a father to me. Don't say that I used him." She growled, venom dripping from every word.

"You used him to get information from CGB. But mostly Dayana." I reminded her.

She clenched her fists, "This is revenge for what she did to me."

"Four years of our friendship and you still won't tell me what Dayana did to you." I sighed.

"It's better to be ignorant sometimes." She told me.

I rolled my eyes, "Fine. I'll still help you in this revenge."

"Great!" She exclaimed.

"But." I said, holding one finger up.

"But what?" She asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"But we don't get my brother involved." I said seriously.

She laughed, "Of course not, honey. You can trust me."

I smiled.

Just a little more, Xander, just a little more wait. Can you hold on a bit longer?
