Chapter 11: Story time with clues, whoop dee whoop!
I stuck my tongue out like a kid.
I know, you guys are wondering, 'Isn't it supposed to be cat'?' Well, amazing people, not today!
"Stop your childish acts, Dayana." Kylie told me.
"He's mean to me!" I whined while I crossing my arms.
"I'm right here, y'know." Xander reminded me.
I giggled, "I know."
Okay, you must be wondering why Xander is here and why I called him a meanie.
Our mission starts today and Adi is running late since we agreed to meet up at my room. Xander saw my teddy bears and called me cute.
Cute is not a compliment.
Because cute means something that is adorable. Adorable things are usually naïve. And I am not naïve, thank you very much.
"Where in the house of wolves is Adi?" I asked Xander.
"House of what?" He asked back.
I giggled, "Since I'm bored, I'm going to tell you guys a story."
"Oh boy." Kylie said.
"About what?" Xander asked me.
"About how Adi is called Adi." I replied.
"I've heard that story before." Kylie told me.
"Simple problem, simple solution, don't listen." I said with a giggle.
She ignored me and continued typing on her keyboard.
"Anyways, Adi is just a nickname I gave him." I told Xander.
"Just noticed you choose weird nicknames." He told me.
I gasped, "They are not! You hurt my feelings."
He looked shocked, "No no no no! Y-you have great nicknames!"
I giggled at his sudden shock but giggles turned into fits of laughter.
He smiled sweetly, "So... your story?"
"Oh, right. Anyways, when Adi got to CBG, I was the one who trained him." I continued, and giggled.
"He said he ended up in the hospital. Did that really happen?" He asked.
I giggled, "Well, yeah. But lucky him, he only got two or three scars."
"How did he get-"
"Shh! Let me finish the story!" I scolded him.
"But can't I ask-"
"Questions will be saved later after this small story." I told him.
Xander looked at Kylie to see her reaction towards my attitude.
"Just listen to her. Better than ending up black and blue." Kylie told him.
I smiled and waited for Xander's response.
To my surprise, he smiled sweetly, "Okay, continue."
"Adi's real name is Wesley-"
"Then how did it become A-"
"Don't interrupt me." I said with a pout.
"Sorry. You may proceed." He said sweetly.
Pft, 'you may proceed'?
"Anyways, I was training him and one time he was having a breakdown." I explained to him.
"Breakdown?" Xander asked.
I nodded, "He looked like he had no soul. No emotion at all."
"Doesn't having a breakdown mean cryi-"
I flickered his forehead.
"Ow! Why?" He asked me innocently.
"You still don't know what CBG code 101 is." I told him, "I thought your father would've taught you that."
"CBG code 101?" He asked again, confused for a moment. "Oh! Like bleeding?"
I smiled at him, "Yup. Now tell me what that means in CBG code 101."
"It means crying over something or someone dead?" Xander said, making it come out as a question.
"Close enough." I told him with a giggle.
"What do you mean clo-"
"Anyways! Adi had a breakdown- which means you're gloomy in CBG code 101- and I hit him with a gun-"
"You what?!" Xander exclaimed.
I blinked, "No no no! That's not what I meant, stupid idiot!"
"What did you mean then?" He asked me.
"Imagine being hit in the head with a spine of a book." I told him.
"Why would I imagine tha- ow!" he was cut off when I hit him with the spine of the book near me.
"Okay, now that you imagined that-"
He coughed.
"-imagine this." I said, getting a gun from my pocket and hit his head with it.
"Owie!" He yelled, two times louder than when I hit his head with the spine of the book.
"That's how Adi reacted too. When I asked him why he was having a breakdown, he told me that he hated his name." I continued with the story.
"Why would he hate a name such as Wes-"
"He said he hated it because it did nothing but remind him of his family." I said.
Xander leaned his head on the wall, "Then what?"
"I told him he was being an Adi." I said.
"A what?" Xander asked.
"It's something me and my brother made up. Adi means Abandoned Desperate Insect." I explained.
He nodded.
"Anyways, he told me he wanted to be called Adi." I continued.
"Why?" Xander asked.
"All the members came here to escape their past—well except you." I said, "And we did escape it. In different ways."
"How did you escape yours?" He asked.
"Well aren't you nosy." I mused.
"I'm just curious." Xander defended, putting his hands in the air as if retreat.
"Well, if you're that curious, you gotta find out yourself!" I said.
Before Xander could say anything, someone barged in the room.
"About time, slow poke." I said, skipping over to the door.
Before I could exit the room, Adi held my collar.
"Adi, what the hell?" I demanded.
"If we leave this room, we're basically leaving out a suspect I found." He told me.
"Suspect?" Xander and I asked in unison.
"You guys think I did nothing while I was gone?" Adi asked in disbelief.
I giggled, "Good job Adi! Now we know Xander is a traitor on his second day!"
Adi and Xander looked at me in disbelief.
"It's not Xander, little Dayana." Adi told me.
"Who would it be then, Sherlock?" I asked him.
"Kylie." He replied.
"Hmm?" Kylie hummed from where she was.
I stood frozen as Adi grabbed Kylie's wrist forcefully.
"Admit it already, I have too much evidence to prove you're a traitor." Adi said.
"What are you talking about, Adi?!" Kylie exclaimed.
"I even have back-up proof from yesterday." Adi countered.
Before Kylie could react, I took off Adi's grip.
"Are you accusing my best friend?" I demanded him.
Please let us be wrong. Please let us be wrong.
"I'm not accusing her when I have solid evidence! In fact, I nearly thought it was you until I found something else." Adi argued.
I glared him, then gripped Kylie's arm.
"I think I have a clue on what your solid evidence is, Adi. Now I'm also suspicious of Kylie." I said.
"Dayana! You're listening to him?!" Kylie exclaimed.
"Even if there's possibility my prediction is false, I'm losing my trust in you." I said bitterly.
"Since when?" Kylie asked, in the verge of tears.
I giggled, "Ever since I saw you give my keychain to an old lady about three months ago."
Kylie looked at me with wide eyes. Xander was clueless of what was going on and Adi was frozen in shock.
"And you asked her to put something like a tracker in my keychain." I continued.
"Dayana... What are you talking about?" Kylie asked innocently.
"I thought it was a different keychain, but nope, it was mine." I said, ignoring her.
"Dayana!" All of them yelled.
I was getting serious, they knew that, and I knew it too.
Oh, I was pointing the gun at her.
I giggled, "I already found the tracker yesterday when I was asleep and you had my keychain."
"What are you talking about?!" Kylie exclaimed.
With my free hand, I pulled out the tracker from my pocket.
"Y'know, I'm confused." I told her.
Kylie smirked, "Why? Confused that I can backstab you like that?"
Well, she changed fast.
I smirked back, "I'm confused on why you need a tracker if you already know where I am. You could just tell Augustus about my daily process, kill me in my sleep, other things like that."
Her eyes widened, "Wha-"
"But now I know why you need a tracker." I said.
"Why?" Xander asked, reminding me of his existence.
"The real Kylie is dead. And Julie knows that." I said.
