"is it true?" Jaemin began to ask sternly, taking a seat on the vacant chair across from his friend who had a blank face at him.
"What's true?" The elder raised a brow, acting like he didn't know what the younger was talking about. Which he did, he read Jaemin's mind.
"Stop using your spells to read my mind, you bitch." Jaemin scoffs and intertwined his fingers on the table to be more intimidating.
It didn't work.
"Please be specific, Jaemin. I could be answering a different wasteful and idiotic question of yours." Renjun sighed.
Meet Huang Renjun, Jaemin's witch (bitch) best friend.
They've been best friends since they were 7, well, for Renjun he was in the age of seven. For Jaemin, he barely keeps track on his vampire friend's real immortal age.
Anyways, it all started when Jaemin was hungry at lunch in his magic school cafeteria.
Renjun had found him shaking from restraining himself, as he was still a young vampire who had no control whatsoever with his cravings, and approached him.
Without saying anything else, he used a spell he had learned from and also beginning to master of, waving his too-big of a magic wand for a kid his age, around in the air.
Soon, he handed Jaemin a plastic bag of fresh blood. Who's blood? He doesn't know. That's what he's trying to learn from next in his spell book.
Due to starving and his uncontrolled cravings, Jaemin instantly accepted the plastic bag and gulped the whole thing down, smiling in content as he thanked the young witch.
That's literally it, they began their friendship there. No one saved each other's life except Jaemin's cravings. Honestly, the young vampire could've still live normally at that time, he wasn't going to fucking die.
Besides, he would've actually had the chance to die if he had an injury, which he didn't.
Jaemin was only shaking because he was a young vampire who didn't have control over his cravings, like I have mentioned before. Not because of something else.
It didn't really help either with the amount of sweet blood from others around him, that's the sole reason for his shaking dilemma.
He had his well made lunch and got himself a small can of animal blood, but of course young vampire Na Jaemin wanted more blood.
Oh and the next day, Jaemin was called in sick.
Turns out the blood he drank given by Renjun's spell was mixed with some vampire bacteria. The young witch friend took note of that.
Mimicking him silently and in exaggeration, "Is it true you're moving in?" Jaemin asks again.
"Moving in to where?" The elder grins innocently, chuckling when Jaemin groaned a bit loudly. Successfully making some heads turn towards their table as the attention made Renjun slightly regret his teasing.
"Goddammit, is it true you're moving in to the same apartment building that I'm living in?" Jaemin stressed out to say.
"Unfortunately." Renjun sighed dramatically but not really.
Rolling his eyes, Jaemin huffs. "Why didn't you say anything? I had to hear it from the neighborhood kids!"
"Which ones?"
"The fairy pranksters. I almost doubted them," he scowls at the mention of said fairies who are indeed very immature, especially with using their powers to have fun.
"I still don't know how you managed to live there with them being your neighbors." The brunet vampire boy comments.
His witch friend shrugged, "I still don't know how I managed to live with you being my friend."
"Bitch." Jaemin grumbled as he slouched, his so-called intimidating posture gone yet his bitterness was still there. Increasing.
"They're slightly better than you. Atleast they're not that cocky with themselves." Renjun kept up with his remarks towards his friend.
"Okay we all know that's a lie, the first one is bullshit." The vampire points an accusing finger at him and said.
Renjun sighed and nodded in agreement (and in defeat), there was no lie that those fairy pranksters were rascals and he had lost count on how many times he threatened them with his powerful magic.
It wasn't only him, but anyone who has came across with those scallywags and their mischievous acts have almost picked up a fight.
"You brought me here to just ask that?" Renjun raised a brow at his friend who shrugged.
"I came for free food too." Jaemin grins, making the witch friend groan and waves his hand up in the air, signalling for a waiter to get them their orders.
"Thanks, Injunnie~"
"Shut up and order before I cast another spell on you."
"Calm down Harry Potter looking ass." Jaemin snickered as he finally decides to look at the menu and recite his order for the waiter.
As soon as they finished ordering, Jaemin watches the waiter leave before asking his witch friend. "Possible partner check, is that dude aight?"
Eyeing the waiter who took their orders, Renjun snorts. "He's already married." He shrugged, before adding, "to their boss."
"Sucks." Jaemin muttered. "His blood was fine, not my favorite but it's... Eh."
"You make it sound like you've already had his blood." Renjun comment with a chuckle.
"I don't need to, that's what we were taught before. The taste is 10 times added to their smell. If the person smells bitter, their taste is much more bitter than you'd expect." The brunet replied nonchalantly.
"Or maybe you're just dumb and can't tell the difference." The elder shrugged as Jaemin scoffs at him.
"You should stop relying on me with these partner checks though, it's annoying and embarrassing."
Faking a gasp, "then how would I get myself a lover? You're not going to help me with my miserable love life?" He interrogates.
Rolling his eyes, Renjun replied. "Go figure it out," pausing as he leans back on his seat and smirks. "More like unlucky love life."
"Hey!"
"You sent your second boyfriend to the hospital, he passed out from blood loss."
"I didn't know he was that weak. He said he wasn't." Jaemin defends himself.
Renjun sighed, "you should also stop taking some of their words seriously, they're just saying it because they want to stay relevant for you."
"Not entirely my fault. They lied anyway." Another sigh escaped from Renjun's lips
