Epilogue

News Line Heading

"Ten year class reunion this Saturday at the Willow Creek Hotel at 9PM."

That is what I read in the paper while laying on my window seat of our library room. The view of the mountains, was the best in this room. It was like you could jump out and hang glide over all the trees and the creek down below. Travis and I have always dreamed of having a home out here.

That dream came true five years ago, when he got his promotion from the city as a foreman. His parents helped with the down payment, but he promised to pay them back. They said no need and that all they wanted in return was a grandchild.

We did want children some day, but loved our alone time we spent together. Wanting to please his parents, we talked it over after getting this home. It was a 4 bedroom with plenty of space for a family and it didn't take long to fulfill there wishes.

We were blessed with little Rory a year later. He was the spit image of Travis of course, with his little dimples that would magically appear when he grinned ear from ear.

I ran to our master bedroom with the newspaper in hand. I jumped on the bed where Travis was sleeping and woke him up in the process.

"Travis check it out!"  I yelled, shoving the paper in his face. "Look its our reunion this weekend."

Rubbing his eyes, he looks at the clock to see what time it is.

"Uh, Kendall." He wined and looked up at me sitting on him. A naughty smile crossed his lips as he squeezed my legs. "I'm not really in the mood to read, you know." He said as his morning happiness was rising beneath me.

"Travis come on, stop it. I want to go and see the guys if they go." I said, sliding off of him to go get dressed for the day. He didn't answer and just kept staring at me the whole time with a big grin on face.

"Don't you?" I asked.

We haven't seen any of the guys since the wedding except for Caleb and Sarah. They became a couple shortly after the prom party. It was actually nice too, cause not only did Sarah and I become great friends, she also winded up helping me with all the details of wedding. Since Caleb was Travis's best man and Sarah being my only girlfriend, I asked her to be my maid of honor.

They got pregnant and moved in with each other close to town, so we would see them a lot. We tease them all the time for not getting married, but they said they didn't want to become a statistic, so they chose not to.

Kurt went off to college somewhere out of state. Derf moved away without a goodbye from him. Tristan married a girl right out of college and had a couple kids somewhere as well. Robbie came by once for a Christmas dinner we had at our new home. He had a beautiful girlfriend at the time he brought with him named Rayen, but we lost contact with them a year later. I was really wanting to go to meet up with everyone again if any of them where going to be there.

"Sure what ever you want my sexy lady." He said, getting up to change himself.

"Great! I'll ask Bri to watch Rory for us." I said all giddy and walked out of the room.

Bri was still in college, but had her own place as well. She was studying to become a nurse like mom, so she didn't have much time for any boyfriends.

Rory just loved her, with my parents rarely around and Travis's parents living so far away, he was really close to her. She would come by almost every weekend to come see him. Caleb, Sarah and their daughter Liby, were another close family he loved to be around. When ever we had birthday parties or vacations, they would be with us all the time.

10 Year Reunion

Travis opened the car door for me, but before I got in, he stopped me by the door.

"Did I tell you how incredibly sexy you look in that dress?" He said, grabbing my waist with a smirk on his face, waiting for a response.

I still never wore dresses and couldn't stand high heels, but when ever we would go some place nice, I would make an exception. Travis loved it and he had a hard time focusing every time I would wear one. At the end of the night would be worth it though, cause he would get all crazy in the bedroom with me.

"Yes Travis, you told me 2 times in the room, once in the bathroom.  I think once while we were walking to the garage and now." I chuckled and kissed him. "Thank you, but can we get out of here or what?"

"Ok."

We drove to the Hotel and parked the car. I looked at the exact same building with memories of prom sketched into my head.

How I was so afraid to get out of Zack's limo. How we were both scared the whole time. Travis not being there and then the fight. I turned my head towards Travis and smiled to myself though, thinking further ahead to the party. He palmed my face before getting out and kissed me softly.

"What is it?"

"Just thinking, that's all."

"Hey look, if the guys are not here want to ditch it and go out to Grilling Greats tonight?"

Grilling Greats was a romantic bar and grill we loved to go to. Caleb and Sarah would join us when we had times away from the kids. We loved to drink, talk and eat the famous steaks they made there.

His idea sounded good and I was down to ditch it too, if the guys weren't here. I never did like high school anyway and he knew that and me so well. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect husband then him.

We walked in and was asked our names from a lady sitting at a table near the entrance. She check our names on the her clip board she had and marked them off. Then she wrote them on little name tags that stuck to your clothing.

"Right through there." She said, pointing to double doors.

Travis opened one of the doors leading me in with his hand on my lower back. I instantly felt safe and loved entering the hall. Tables were almost the same as they were at the prom, with chairs sitting all around circular  tables.

Someone was talking on stage about what it was like 10 years ago at our school. Some people were walking around, some listening to the person talking and some just sitting at the tables. Travis got real close and whispered in my ear.

"Want to just sit down?"

"Yes." I nodded and we took the first chairs we saw empty next to us.

"So when is Caleb and Sarah getting here?" He asked.

"I don't know." I pulled out my phone to check any messages from them, but there were none. "You know how they are. They are probably arguing over which one wants to drive or something stupid like that." I said and we both laugh.

Caleb and Sarah's relationship was always a bickering one. They would argue over the most stupidest things, but at the end of the day they would be all over each other. Reminded me a lot of how my parents were together, it was funny to watch.

Travis spotted Kurt through the crowd of people watching the person talking on stage. "Hey I see Kurt. I'm going to get him over here to talk."

"Awesome, ok I'll wait here." I said happily and watched him walk off.

"Kendall!" A familiar voice yelled near the doors. I looked over that way and saw Robbie and Rayen coming towards me. Rayen looked like she was 20 months pregnant with a baby bump that was as big as one of those exercise balls, under her dress.

I smiled and waved them over.

"Where have you guys been?"  I looked at Rayen and smirked.  "Or should I say what have you guys been up to?"

Robbie rubbed the bump and she smiled happily up at him.

"Triplets."

"No shit?! Oh girl, I feel for you."

"Ya, well Robbie here ha-" She was cut off by Robbie.

"Lets just say the doctor helped a little to get us pregnant."

I put my hands up as in a surrender. "No need to explain Robbie, just be grateful. Your going to have an instant family soon. That's great news you two. Come sit." I gestured to the table we occupied and gave them both a hug. "Travis went to go get Kurt, he's here too."

"Oh that's good news. Haven't seen that guy for years." Robbie replied.

Travis, Kurt and a women with him walked up to the table and sat down. She looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on who she was.

"Hey Kurt, long time no see man."

"Yup, I can say the same about you guys too. This is so neat you guys came. We both had to come to see every one again." He looked at the women sitting next to him. "You all remember Jasmine here, she winded up at the same university I got excepted to and we fell in love out there."

She nudged his shoulder and blushed up a little. "Ya, we got close and now I can't get rid of him."

"Smiley?" I asked, after the memories came back to me. She was a girl from school that was always smiling about everything. She was in the ASB part of the school and would great people all the time with a big grin on her face. So I remembered her more being called Smiley then Jasmine.

"Oh my God, I can't believe you remember that Kendall. Wow, its been so long since someone actually has called me that. Not to pry, but I am happy you and Travis actually winded up together. We all knew it was meant to be." She winked.

I looked at Travis next to me and thought of all the accusations that we would get about being a couple the whole time. How much it bugged me the whole time I was there. How I wanted to scream to the world that a boy and a girl can be friends without anything happening between them.

How I hated my mom so much for saying that to me and trying to prove her wrong. The thoughts running through my head though, brought a smile to my face looking at him.

"It was meant to be, I just was to stubborn to realize it." I said smiling at him, squeezing his thigh.

He kissed me and the music started playing. Stay with Me came on and he took my hand and whispered in my ear.

"Dance with me my lady."

"Always." I smirk at him.

We reached the dance floor together and slow danced close. He rubbed my lower back and swayed his hips with mine. I loved dancing with him.

The song came to an end and are song started to play. See You Again by Wiz Khalifa. I bent my head back and screamed out with the rest of the crowd. He looked at me and smiled.

Instead of dancing we just embraced each other and started to kiss passionately. He let go when we heard Caleb behind us. He was dancing with Sarah, next to us.

"Hey Travis, we're going to the Grilling Greats after this right?"

Sarah slapped his arm.

"God I swear, all you care about is food, Caleb." She scrolled at him.

Travis and I  looked at each other and cracked up. We both shook are heads at him and replied to him in sync.

"Yes Caleb."
