Chapter 31

She wasn't walking to good, so I grabbed her around her waist, helping her walk the rest of the way to the ledge. When we got there, I sat her down and sat next to her.

"You shouldn't have drank so much Kendall, you don't look to good."

I know she was going to yell at me, but I wasn't caring anymore. I wanted her to know I was upset with her. She was looking out to the pool area. She must of been in some deep thought, cause it took her a few minutes for her to respond to me.

"So thats what you wanted to talk to me about?" She said, all annoyed with me.

"That and how the hell we are getting home."

"I don't want to go home."

"Well we should, your all ready drunk."

"Look I heard you already, don't worry about me Travis, just leave."

"I'm not leaving you here by yourself."

"Well suit yourself."

She still wasn't looking at me when she talked. That was not like her at all. When we talked, we always talked eye to eye. Something was different with her tonight. She was so distant. I shrugged it off as she was drunk and stressed about Zack.

What the hell happen to that guy anyway? I still wanted to know the truth though, if Zack was the reason for her getting plastered. I know if I asked her she'll tell me. She usually always tells me everything and anything she was thinking.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked,  putting my hand on her cheek, to pulled her face towards me to have her look at me. "Why are you not looking at me?"

She turned her head towards me, but then raised it looking torwards the sky. She was avoiding all eye contact with me. I was getting so frustrated with her. I put my other hand under her hair on the back of her neck. "Look at me Kendall."

She finally lowered her head, but had her eyes closed.

She opened them slowly. Once she opened them, I suddenly saw the same look after we kissed in the house. She looked like she wanted to kiss me and I wanted to kiss her too, so bad. I couldn't do it though. She was so wasted right now, I couldn't take advantage of her in this state. If I do kiss her, I would want her to know what is going on, if that happens again.

I enjoyed kissing her in the house. I didn't want it to change anything between us, but I wanted to kiss her again after we did it. I knew I couldn't though. Zack took us here and that would have been fucked up to him if I would have done that. I reframe myself once again looking into her eyes. I had to get her home and figure out a way to convince her to go.

"I'm looking at you, what is it your wanting from me?" She said eagerly, waiting for me to pull her in for a kiss. I was the one that pulled away from the eye contact now. I knew if I stayed looking at her any longer, I would have done it. I caught our cups that were now empty.

"I'm going to get us a refill." I picked up our cups and got up. "Don't move I'll be right back."

"Whatever."

I now know why she was avoiding talking to me. I just realized after looking at her, why she has drank so much tonight. We kissed and now things have change for her. She has never had feelings for me and I didn't mind much, cause we always had the best of times together.

The feelings I had for her were there of course, but I never acted on them before. I needed to get her home somehow quick, before I do something stupid. Or vise versa.

I looked back at her while walking to the keg. She looked so sad. Damn, I hated the fact that I have done that to her. She wanted to kiss me and I avoided it like the plauge. She must be killing herself right now. I got to make it up to her somehow.

I planned on telling her about my feelings I had have towards her. It was something I was hiding from her for over a year ago. I just didn't want our times together to change, so I kept it a secret this whole time. Hopefully we can remain friends, cause I couldn't bare us to be apart.

"Travis you lucky dog." Luke said, putting his arm around me, as I was waiting in line. He was from my english class. He would help me alot with the work in class and we were always in a group together.

"What are you talking about man?"

"You and Kendall, heard you guys made out in there."  He said, pointing towards the house. He looked up at the ledge Kendall was sitting on.

"And now you guys are all alone up there." He removed his arm and slightly punched my shoulder.

"You going to hit that tonight?"

I furrowed my eyebrows at him. I was pissed he had said that.

"Fuck man shut up!! We're just friends, it was a fucking dare, thats all."

I turned around and noticed it was my turn to fill the cups up.

"Ok shit! Don't get all bitchy about it, dude."

I ignored his comment and walked away back to Kendall, after filling our cups up. I came up with a good idea on how to get us home while walking back to her. I gave her the cup and sat down next to her again.

"I'm going to call Robbie to come get us home, k?"

"What the fuck Travis! What about Zack?" She yelled and picked her cup up to take another drink.

"Zack is MIA Kendall, who knows where he is. Did he ever text you?"

"No."

"Well I say we get ourselves a ride home, cause its not like your in any shape to be walking."

"I'll just stay here, I'll be fine." She said, pulling her phone out to check it. I glanced at it, there were no miss calls or texts from Zack.

"Your not staying here. Look, you asked earlier what I needed to talk to you about. I'll tell you, but you got to agree to leave with me." I pulled my phone out ready to dial Robbie's number.

"Please?"

"What is it Travis?"

"Let me call him, k?"

"Ok."
