The intensity of a bride's haldi

is determined by the groom's affection for her.

The brighter the haldi, the deeper his love for her...

Swara was sitting, with a frown and seeing Sarah, who was pacing in the room back and forth. Swara was getting frustrated and annoyed seeing Sarah, with gritting her teeth she pick up and throw a pillow on Sarah, which hit her face.

Swara : Stupid. Pichle do ghante se tu yaha se wahan ghoom rhi hai. (glaring at Sarah) Ab bolegi kya baat hai?! And first stop pacing yaar! You are giving me headache.

Sarah pouts, pick up the pillow and sits beside Swara, scrunching her nose and with the pillow in her lap. She was biting her nails in tension and looking here and there.

Swara sighed, looked at her fiery eyes and get up to leave.

Swara : I think I should leave now. (sighed) There is nothing to say. (gave Sarah a tight smile) Bbye.

She turned to leave, when Sarah hold her hand and called her.

Sarah : Shona.

Swara, rolled her eyes and spoke.

Swara : Atlast you speak something in these 2 hrs. Now, tell me fast.. What you want to share with me. Yaar..speak up something?!

Sarah : Swara.. Woh woh.. Mujhe tumse bahut zaroori baat krni hai..

Swara : Haan bolo. I am listening.

Sarah suck a deep breath and spoke in one breath.

Sarah : Swara woh.. I think (sucks a deep breath) IthinkIampregnant.

Swara : Hein..What did you say?

Sarah sighed and took a deep breath and replied emphasizing on each word.

Sarah : I said. I.THINK.I.AM.PREGNANT.

Swara was flabbergasted, when each words hit her head. Her mouth was ajar open and taken back, due to the shock given by Sarah. Whereas, Sarah was sitting, lowering her head and her eyes are brimmed with tears.
Sarah, took her hand in her and squeeze it, which took Swara away from aghast state. She looked at Sarah for confirmation, to which Sarah nod her head.

Swara covered her mouth, in shock and spoke in a trembling voice.

Swara : But.. How and When this happen Saru?!

Sarah bite her lower lip, and heat crept her cheeks. Her cheeks turns crimsons red and replied in a mere whispher.

Sarah : Umm..a day before your sangeet, when we patch up...

Before, Sarah could speak further, when Swara interrupt her in between.

Swara : OH MY GOD! This much had happened and you are telling me now. (a teasing grin formed on her lip) Wow..Saru (fake cough) ahem.. tum dono toh bade fast nikale. (chuckles)

Sarah gave her a death glare, to which sealed her lips and look at her innocently. Sarah sighed and put her head on Swara's shoulder in a friendly way and pouts. Swara looked at her and asked her, in a serious voice.

Swara : Did you tell Ansh about it. (Shook her head in NO) Why?

Sarah sit straight and spoke in a low voice.

Sarah : I don't know yaar. I don't how to confront him. It's..like (held up her head intension) I don't to know, what to do yaar?! Am.. Am freaking out here! It just happened and now I am... (started crying)

Swara hugged her by side and console her, in a friendly. She wiped tears from but they are streaming down continuously.
Fresh tears escaped from Sarah's eyes, which Swara wiped from her face and talk to her a very polite manner.

Swara : Shh! Now stop crying yaar. Don't worry. We will figured it out very soon. (hold her hand and get up) Come.

Sarah : Where?

Swara bend down to her ear, whisper something in her ear, to which Sarah nod. Both left from there to somewhere.

After, half and hour both are back together. Swara gave her something in black packet and signed her to go to washroom, to which Sarah nod and left to washroom.

Swara was waiting out for Sarah, impatiently and looking at the washroom door. After, ten minutes the door get opened and Sarah came out with nervy expression. Swara rushed to her and looked at her for answer.

Swara : So, what it showing?

Sarah : Two vertical red line.

A huge smile came across Swara faced and she engulfed Sarah in a tight hug in excitement. To which Sarah obliged, and sobbed in her arms. Swara broke the hug, when she found her sobbing. She wiped her tears and spoke.

Swara:(wiping her tears) Hey.Saru.. Roh kyo rhi hai pagali. (cupped her face) I am here na with you...and its not good to cry in this state. (wiped more tears) chalo rona band karo and give me a huge smile.(to which Sarah obliged) Yeh hui na baat. (again hugged her)

Broking the hug, Swara spoke to lightened the atmosphere.

Swara : Yayee... I am going to be Masi. (puts her hand on Sarah belly) Hello choto.. I am your Masi. (points at Sarah) and she is your mommy and now we will go to your daddy, to tell him about you. ( holds Sarah's hand and strated draggring her towards door) Chal Saru.. We will tell him, about the baby. I am so excited. Yayee

Sarah didn't moved from her place and removed her hand out of her grip and said.

Sarah : Umm.. Shona you go change haldi ceremony was going to start, already we are late. I will surely tell him about us. It will be better if.. If will talk to him alone.

Sarah looked at her with questioning eyes, to which smiles and say.

Swara : Okay! I am going to change. You take care of yourself. Hmmm.

Saying, this she turned to leave when Sarah hold her hand and say.

Sarah : Thankyou Shona for being with me and for understanding my point of view.

Swara scrunched her nose to listening her talks and replied.

Swara : Ab tu mujhe thankyou bolegi😒

Sarah didn't replied, she just smiled and hugged her. To which Swara obliged and gave a squeezy hug and left to her room to get ready and Sarah also left to get ready and thought to confront Ansh, during the haldi function.

The garden was decorated with yellow-white frills and drapes. Glimmering mirrors frills are falling down from the pillars and white lillies were just enchanting the beauty of the place. A huge white netted curtain was hanged in between of two chairs. 

In between the huge curtain, Swara and Sanskaar were made sat at their respectively chairs, and the huge curtain is hiding them from each other glimpse.

Sanskaar was wearing a white pajama and yellow cotton kurta. In this outfit he is looking damn handsome and cute at the same time.

Whereas, Swara was wearing and simple lemon yellow lehenga choli, and flower jewellery is alluring her face and neck.

Sanskaar was trying to see Swara behind the curtain, when Sujata held his ear which make him close his eyes, being caught red hand. He gave Sujata a sheepish smile, while Sujata was seeing him with arching eyebrows. Whereas, everyone giggled seeing his antiques.

Sujata : Khahte dekh rhase chore?! (raised her eyebrows)

Sanskaar gave her a sheepish smile and replied.

Sanskaar : Ka-kahi nhi mom. (shook his head, innocently )

Sujata : Acha se fir.

Saying, she applied a handful of haldi on his face, to which he make raunchy face and say.

Sanskaar : Eww.. Mom..(removes haldi from his face, it stick on his fingers, and he moves his fingers)  eeee.. It's so sticky.. Chiii..kya hai yeh?
(makes disgusting face)

Everyone chortled hearing him, Uttara moved towards him while laughing and took some haldi rubbed it on his face again.

Uttara : (rubbing it on his face)This is called Haldi bhai...aur yeh aise hi lagayi jaati hai.

While Uttara was applying haldi on Sanskaar, he was making disgusting face and scolding her sister in fake anger.

Sanskaar: Eewww..aaaa Uttara..i will kill you..chiii..phirse mere yeh laga dia.

Everyone laughed, came forward and apply haldi on Sanskaar face, while he was making crying face. After, half and hour haldi was completed of Sanskaar. Sujata came forward and say to him.

Sujata : Chal chore ja naha..aathe ab (looked towards Swara, who was sitting lowering her head and giggling) Swara ki haldi hogi. Tu apne kamre jaa.

Sanskaar again looked towards curtain, to get just a bit of glimpse of Swara. But couldn't, he makes a sad pout and get up to leave while pouting.

Sanskaar : Okay! Mom🙁 But where is Ansh mom?😕 (He looked at Sarah, who was wearing, yellow punjabi suit and make side braid, looking stunning ) Did you know where is he?😐

Sarah shrugged and shook her head in NO.

Sanskaar: You also didn't know? Pata nhi kaha hai kamina😒 Mujhe akela chodke kaha chala gaya hai(wipes his fake tears.)

Saying, this he left to his room for bath. While everyone giggled seeing his drama.

Sujata sighed and took the Sanskaar's haldi bowl, gave it to Sharmishta. She accept it warmly, and moved towards Swara, was covering her face with veil.

Sharmishta removed the veil and put the chunari on her head and smiled, warmly seeing her daughter looking pretty in yellow lehenga choli. She gave a tenderly kiss on her forehead, to which closed her eyes to feel her motherly love. Sharmishta took some haldi on her fingertips and applied it  on her cheeks, in a caressing way.

Shekhar came forward, put haldi on her nose tip, playfully and blessed her, by keeping his hand on her head. Sujata also applied haldi to Swara. One by one everyone applied haldi to Swara and at last Laksh came smirking towards Swara. Swara looked at him, smirking mischievously.

Swara : (fumbling) Luc... Lucky. Don't yo-you dare...to try something stupid o-on me. I am war-warning you.

Laksh, innocently moved towards Swara and say.

Laksh : Arey! I am doing nothing. (he puts his hands in haldi bowl, without Swara notice) I was just (applied handful of haldi on Swara's face) applying haldi to my best friend.

Swara : Aaaa.. Luckyyyy. (stomped her feet on ground) I will not leave you. 

Saying this, Swara took bowl in her hand and run after Laksh. They both ran in the whole ground after each other.  Laksh hide behind the pillar, while Swara was standing infront of him.

Laksh : (breathing heavily due to running) Dekh... Shona..  Mere.. Kapde kharab hojayenge. (hiding behind the pillar)  Rag... Ragiinniii..  Saruuu.  Bachoo mujhe is aafati jungli billi se.

While Ragini and Sarah laughed seeing them.

Ragini : Hum kuch nhi jaante Laksh. Yeh aafat aapne hi bulayi hai. 😂

Sarah : Right.. Ragu 😆

Saying this left from there, while Swara smirks evily and giving him "Now You are going Lucky" look, Laksh hide more behind the pillar.

Laksh : Nahi.. Swara.

Swara : (imitating Gabbar) HAHAHA Ab tu gaya sambha.

Laksh : Sambha 😐

Swara laughed whole heartedly, and say.

Swara : (controlling her laughter) I Come out Lucky. (keep blow aside) I will not do anything. 

Laksh took his head out and spoke.

Laksh : Pakka?

Swara : (smiled) Pakka. Promise.

Laksh smile and came out off the pillar. As soon as he came out,  he received a handful of haldi on his face.  As,  Swara took out a handful haldi in her hand, and when Laksh came out she threw it on his face.

Laksh : Swaraaaaaa. (wiped his face and ran after Swara.)

Both played with haldi alot and now were now in yellow from top to foot.
Sharmishta stand in front of them,  with arm across her chest and glaring them both.  To which they gave her sheepish smile.

Sharmishta sighed and ordered them to wash themselves.

Shomi : You both will never grow old.  Now go to your respective rooms and wash yourself.

To which they nod like a child and left to their rooms.  While everyone shook their heads seeing their childishness.

Sarah was dailing Ansh number again and again but he is not receiving her call.

What the hell! Why he is not receiving my call?! Hai kaha yeh stupid. I have tell him, (put her hand on belly) about us.. Baby. But your Daddy.. Pata nhi kaha gaye.  He is not in his room also.

Thinking all this, she again and again dailed his number but response from his side.

Swara was standing, only in lehenga choli, infront of dressing table, she kept her chunari aside and was removing the flowers jewellery when all of sudden, lights get switched off. It became dark in the room, she get frightend seeing darkness,  when she felt two hands wrapped around her belly. Fresh mint soap and Musk perfume hits her nostril. She identify the cologness and spoke.

Swara : Sanskaar.
