An week later.

     
Sanskar was worried like never before, Fifty plus missed calls. Why did he keep his mobile in silent. He cursed himself for the hundredth time.

It was uttara wedding day. And he kept his mobile in silent during the rituals. Then he totally forgot about it. He had to drive his sister and her husband to the airport. It wasn't until five minute earlier he checked his phone. His heart stopped with the number of missed calls.

                   
 Everything was going smooth today,  If only he had checked his mobile little earlier. Swara was not answering his calls. He was worried. So he was driving to her house.

Last night when he dropped her back home. She was all smiles because tomorrow you wouldn't have to drop me back here she said. And he knew. The plan was to tell everyone tonight.

Last week was perfect, It felt surreal to find such amount of happiness just because he was with her and now he didn't know what storm actually entered their life. 

Meanwhile Swara stared at her managalstura willing it to drag her husband here. After they got back together. Sanskaar has managed to take her out thrice. The first time it was to the place they both actually confessed their love.

Thinking about those times was painful because back then they never imagined how they would end up hurting each other. That day was the best in her life. In that place did they  took their marriage vows again. He tied the scared thread around her neck and Swara felt everything was right once again. It was in the place they promised not to make the same mistake again.

 The next time dida managed to sneak her out with the pretext of an temple she would liked to visit. While she stayed in the temple the whole day. Sanskaar took her shopping. It was ridiculous how he decided to shop for the baby clothes when he didn't even know if it an boy or an girl.

But he was adamant he is going to get a an girl like her,  He actually was quite confident about it. When she told him she can't take all the stuff back home as it would rise suspicion. He simply took it back to their home. Because that where she would live in three days he said.

And yesterday he took her out to the doctors visit. When he dropped her back home. He promised next time. He won't leave her alone,  and she believed him. Yet he was not there. Not when she really needed him.

She called him again and again, Yet he didn't answer. Not just for one second, if only he answered. Why didn't he answer. Maybe something happened to him. Her  mind came up and she  panicked. She walked out of her  room and was about to go to his house in search of him. When  dida's hand held her  back.

" It raining out their Shona. You cant go to him now "her dida spoke up already aware of her reasons

"  What if something happened to him, I need to see him. "She answered back instead

Just then her eyes spotted him,  Drenched in rain because his car broke down two streets back. He raced to meet her. One look at him Swara broke down all over again.

He quickly covered the distance between them and hugged her like his life depended on it. This last fifteen minutes have been hell. His mind  came up with every worst case scenario possible and to find her safe was all he ever wanted.

 When Swara finally relaxed that he is safe. Her mind replayed those words she endured few hours earlier. She pushed him out of hug and began to hit him hard in his chest. It didn't hurt him. But it sure did hurt her, still she wasn't going to stop. It wasn't until five minute later. She stopped mentally and physically exhausted.

" I am fine now, You can leave. I just needed to see you once. "She spoke HP exhausted

"  Shona,  What happened. Please tell me. "he pleaded with her looking so distraught.

"  Why didn't you answer my call, You were not here when I really needed you. "She lashed at him

"  I am sorry,  Really my phone was in silent mode. I just checked the phone ten minutes ago. "he answered back apologetically

"  Everyone found out I am pregnant. The dress you brought for your princess was in my bag. And dadi found it ,  Not even my family believes me Sanskaar. "She spoke up as tears spilled from her eyes all over again

It was hard for her to endure dadi questions without breaking down. They already deemed her guilty without letting her explain.

Throughout the whole ordeal she kept dialing Sanskaar. Because she needed him. And then dadi decided it time to break all relationships with her before ragini life is affected because of swara. It was dida who stepped in,  It was dida who fought for her.

And it was dida who dragged her back to her house till Sanskaar arrived. But Swara couldn't still forget the whispers in the badi. And the looks they gave her.

" Yeah those are not your family, I am here right and Sanskar is here right. We are your family."her dida answered back to her outburst .

"Even Maa didn't believe me  "she spoke up in an broken voice

"  She does believe you kiddo, She is hurt you have kept it from her." her dida reassured her

"  Then where is she dida, She is not here with me right. "Swara asked her  back .

"  She Was here while you were locked up in the room,  I Did send her back to that place to stop them before those idiots do something stupid "her dida spoke up making her feel bad for not asking for explanation first .

 Sanskar hated himself for not being their to prevent it from happening. Once again Swara family had managed to hurt her. It like they live for it.

They support her when everything is fine and at the first sign of trouble,  They cut her off. If only Sanskaar answered the call. None of it would have happened.

" We are going home Swara. It all my fault. I shouldn't have left you. "he answered back

"  Now both of you stop crying over those idiots. And sanskar you need to head back home first. Those idiots went to your home to protect the laddoo life. "dida spoke up next .

Before dida finished her sentence the entire Maheshwari clan has managed to reach badi. Too late dida cursed herself, Swara eyes wandered toward Sanskaar and he just held her hand and stood close by her side. Nope he won't let Swara get hurt the second time. Never,he vowed to himself .

            
 It was Annapurna Maheshwari who talked first,  She asked if whatever dadi said was true. Sanskaar loved his Maa. But how can she even ask something like that.

She should know Swara by now,  Before he could speak up. His mom started walking towards Swara. Swara practically moved behind Sanskaar. Whatever happened today  seemed to have shaken her pretty bad.

" Are you pregnant "his mother spoke up

"  Mom.. "Sanskar tried to intervene

"  I am not talking to you Sanskaar. I asked you a question Swara, are you pregnant "his mother asked again .

"  Yes Maa./She is pregnant and you are going to become an grandma. Now stop it. Before you hurt her."Sanskar answered her back .

"  Then she should act like it,  How can she let everyone walk over her like that.. She is pregnant with my grandchild and she shouldn't let them talk to her like that. Why is she hiding behind you like she is wrong.

When they are the ones who did wrong. Now Swara I am going to ask you once again are you pregnant. "his mother words stunned him into silence

 Swara knows Sanskaar mom never would say something she didn't mean. While her words were often hurtful. She still has the tendency to speak the truth in blunt words. Her words seemed to have hit Swara hard. His mom was right. She didn't do anything wrong.. She doesn't need to hide. She would fight this battle head on.

" Yes I am pregnant mom, With your grandchild."Swara spoke up loud enough that everyone surrounded them can hear it

"  Great. Now pack your bags and we are going back to home. You are my daughter in law Swara. Today is an amazing day,  My daughter got married. My daughter in law is pregnant. And unlike you she looked pointedly at dadi.I will make an great grandma to my grand child right Swara. "his mother kept talking and surprised swara by hugging her as well .

And Swara knew the person who hated her most in Sanskaar house was his mom. But fortunately when she really needed some support it was his mom who offered it to her. And finally she was going back to her home. Dida decided to stay with her due to Sanskaar insistence.

Swara knew certain scars will serve as an remainder to never lose those you love for those who don't deserve it,/Like her dadi words. But she concluded today was an good day because she is finally going home.
