6 months later.

Swara woke up to find her husband missing from the other side of the bed. She knew where he would be or with whom he would be. And she slowly got up and decided to help out her husband. Just like she expected.

He was in the living room with his daughter. Trying to get her back to sleep. Sanskaar adored his daughter. And usually mother wake up when the child cries almost instantly but in her life.. Asha father is bit more connected with his daughter.

A fact Swara is proud of,  It her sanskar after all. But it hasn't been easy for her husband. He spends every second in the house with his daughter. And then get less sleep every day. He is looking more tired by the day. But if there was anything Sanskaar was adamant.

" I Am up Sanskar,  Give her to me And you go and sleep for awhile . "swara spoke up once he noticed her .

" Shhhh she is almost asleep, Let her sleep then I will sleep"he answered back.

" Fine, When have you ever listened when it comes to your daughter. "She said as  relented from saying any more .

Sanskar gave her an morning kiss and took Asha to their room,  Swara knew it will be another hour before the little kid sleep. And one hour less sleep for sanskar. And she was pleasantly surprised to find them both asleep in ten minutes. Maybe he has been up for over an hour already.

Swara didnt have heart to wake him up. He only had an hour of sleep ,  But he got an important meeting today. So she gently tapped him and he was up. He was getting ready while Swara shifted Asha to her cradle from the bed.

And was about to pick out sanskar clothes when his phone rang. Swara usually doesn't answer his calls. But decided to see the caller ID and let him know when he walks out. And the name Home kind of send alarm button to Swara. Who could call sanskar from the Maheshwari house. She wondered. She answered the call to hear the frantic voice of her bade Maa.

" Sanskar,Come home now. Your bade papa got an heart attack. I don't know what to do. Laksh is not at home" his bade maa voice was filled with fear as she answered the call .

" Bade Maa, It Swara. You relax first. We will be there in five minutes. Have you called the ambulance."Swara answered back trying to calm down his bade maa

" No, I am all alone at home. I am scared Swara beta. "his bade maa spoke up

" I will call the ambulance. We will be there Maa. You don't worry. "Swara assured her back .

It took Swara and sanskar ten more minutes before reaching the Maheshwari house. Sujatha was made aware of the situation but was asked to stay with Asha instead. Sanskaar dad was out of town.

The ambulance had already arrived. Swara ran inside to console Annapurna. While sanskar stayed with his bade papa. They all reached the hospital in the ambulance with him. And it was an nerve wracking next few hours till the doctors declared him safe.

It was an massive heart attack indeed. But the doctors assured he is no longer in critical condition .

Laksh and ragini had reached the hospital few hours later. And the sight of swara and sanskar in the hospital added more fire to their anger.

" What are you doing here. "Laksh spoke up first

" I called them. I didn't know what to do. "his mother replied back. 

" We are here now, so you can leave. "Laksh replied to them .

" Do you even care what happened to your dad, All you want even now is to fight with them. "his mother lashed back at him .

" They are the reason for all our misery. Dad got an heart attack because of them as well. Because of him, dad lost his post. Because he couldn't stay away from being interfering I lost my job too. It all because of him "Laksh spoke up as he  wasnt the one to back down when he was on his rant

" Stop it. What do you take me for a fool ,Maybe I am an fool. But I know everything laksh. Even the accident you caused that killed an innocent. So now try saying it again. Do you wanna know why you father got an heart attack. Because he found out the house was mortgaged..You stabbed him in the back and you are blaming your cousin. "his mother finally found her voice as well unleashed the anger she held back .

" Wow even now. You have to take everything I got. My dad is in hospital and you were busy trying to separate my mom from me. "Laksh blamed them as always .

" Stop it Laksh. We didn't say anything. "Swara spoke up after the accusation

" You stay out of it Swara. It between them. "her sister came to her husband defense .

" My wife doesn't need to do anything as you say ragini. Let go Swara. Call us if you need anything Maa. "Sanskar answered back having lost his patience

" Don't go Sanskaar. I don't deserve to ask you this but please don't go now. You too Swara. "bade maa asked them now .

" Maa. Are you choosing them over me. "Laksh asked his mother

" If that how you want to see it. I don't care. Just leave laksh. I don't want your dad to get worse. He will if he saw you right now. "his mother answered back .

So they stayed. While laksh and ragini walked out.

Annapurna Maheshwari always held her head high but when it comes to his sanskar and his wife. She knew she had wronged them way too many times. Yet all she need to do was ask and they will be right beside her.

Today wasn't an easy day for Annapurna. First she found out about laksh real reason for staying away. All this awhile she blamed sanskar for it and to find out the real reason that too from her husband was shocking indeed.

Apparently her husband knew about it for awhile and yet he didn't want to stress her with the information. Then came the phone call from the bank. It was the last straw for her husband poor heart. He couldn't deal with losing his home.She felt ashamed of herself. She knew her son's and she knew Sanskaar yet she find it easy to blame him than think her son could have lied to her again.

No apology could be enough. Annapurna knew it. But yet if she even had an ounce of conscience she knew she got to apologize. So she did for all her actions. And she knew sanskar would forgive her yet the forgiveness felt like more burden to her consciousness.

It was easily given which made it much hard to accept. How can she ever such good soul she wondered,  And not for the first time in her life she felt envious of her sister in law. She was lucky to have an son like Sanskaar.

Durga Prasad Maheshwari had thought he lost his home.And when his wife told him the due were paid regularly by his brother. He felt relieved. At the same time ashamed. He let his brother leave his home for his son and wife. But till it was his brother who held on to the house.

The two week he had been in the hospital. His wife stayed beside him. And his brother family visited him often. He had been meaning to ask them about it for a whole two week. But it was his wife who spoke up about it on the day he got discharged.

" We should live life before. One family. They have forgiven us right. So ask them to move in with us "Annapurna Maheshwari spoke up surprising her son.

" We will move out.If they came back."her son rebelled as always

During the two weeks, Laksh and his wife never visited Durga Prasad but after he got discharged. It was inevitable. While the whole family pretended like nothing happened. The resentment run deeper this time around.

" We didn't ask for you opinion, The moment you kept our house for mortgage. You lost the claim to decide who lives in this house "durga Prasad Maheshwari spoke up

" Yeah blame me,  Forget the fact it was because of him. I lost my job. "Laksh continued to blame everything on Sanskar

" You stole from the company laksh. Don't behave as you were fired unnecessarily "his father answered back

" And you have been lying to us all this long. "his mother joined in as well

Annapurna knew talking to her son would be fruitless,  But she also knew her son actually won't walk out from this house. So she decided to go personally and invite Sujatha to the house back again.

Sujatha has the tendency to forgive quickly. She forgave her sister in law as soon as she apologized. But when she spelled about moving back. Sujatha didn't like it. She loved this house. She loved the peace and she wasn't interested in more drama.

But she knew her husband and he would accept it in an heart beat that bothered her.Because she got to tell him tonight.

The same thoughts raced through Swara mind. She was part of the conversation. While her bade Maa believed Swara would have no problem moving back. Swara did. She want to be there for them.

But she liked living in this house. And she was confused about it. She need to talk about it with her husband and she didn't know what was going on his mind.

" Bade Maa.. Came to our house today " She told him when he got to their room..

" oh.. "that all he said, And Swara couldn't tell him about the purpose of her visit. Later she thought and went to kitchen to cook.it was during dinner the topic was brought up by sanskar dad. He simply told he will go with what Sanskar decides and Swara knew or thought she knew his answer.

Until he said, " Let move this week.. "

Swara knew his mom was not happy with the news. She couldn't read his dad mood and Sanskar clearly didn't read her mood. If he did he wouldn't have agreed to it.Later that night. He was browsing through some files. Swara just put Asha to sleep. Since she didn't want to wake her up. He decided to stare at her husband till he notices her. And when he did. He dragged him to the balcony to talk.

" Let move this week, What was that. Have you asked me about it. How can you decide like that. You want me to move back to the house and leave our home. I am not coming. You can go on your own "Swara lashed at her husband.

" Swara" was all he said as answer

" Sorry sorry sorry,  I didn't mean it at all. I will come with you. You know that right. I was just angry. Oh no how stupid can I get. Sanskar believe me. I didn't mean it. "Swara answered back filled with guilt .

" You didn't mean you don't want to go to that house or your didn't mean asking me to go on my own "her husband asked her next .

" I don't want to go back to that house. But if that what you want then I will come with you sanskar. You should know that. "She replied back solemnly.

" I thought that what you want. And if you don't want then I talk to dad. We will not move "he spoke up

" You are not mad at me. "She asked him little hesitantly

" Why would I be mad at you. Because you reopened the old scars. "he spoke up hurting her by his words .

Sanskar didn't expect Swara to break down at his words. He was just teasing with her. He knew she didn't mean those words and yet it some how broke her up.

" Swara,  I was just teasing you. Sorry my dear wife. I know you didn't mean it "he spoke up once he realized how it affected her .

It took her few minutes to calm down and once she calmed down. She walked inside without an word and the whole night Sanskaar spend trying to make his wife stop being angry. It sadly didn't work.

The next day. Sanskar had told his dad about the decision change much to Sujatha delight. It was Swara who noticed the sadness in her father in law face and it was her who suggested they can visit them during weekends and stay over there for the weekend. Which somehow brightened up his spirits.

Swara remained angry at her husband till that evening. It was cruel of him to play such prank on her. Any reminder of the past still hurts. The reminder that she was once walked out on them. How could she be foolish she wondered most often . In her anger she forgot to really ask him.

Why he said yes when asked first. Did he really want to go back and live in that house just like his dad. And she forced him to change his mind. She need to know. She was going to ask him tonight, But his mom asked it before her.

He just returned from office. And headed straight to their room. To see his princess, Swara made him is favorite tea and headed to their room when she found out his mother was already asking him the question. She didn't mean to eavesdrop. She just over heard his answer.

" I thought that what Swara wanted Maa. I thought she will not ask me even if that what she wanted to do. So I decided by saying yes immediately. She would believe it was what I wanted as well. And only later that night I found out she didn't want to move. So I told dad that I changed my decision. "Sanskar told him mother .

" I Love my sister in law sanskar. And I lived half of my life in that house. But things have changed between our families I think it best if lived separately this time. "his mother answered back .

" I Know maa. "he replied back .

Swara was moved by his decision.Yes it was foolish of him to assume what she wants but given the fact he knows her the best. He was not wrong to assume that and if you had asked Swara an year ago. She would have said yes.But now things changed.

Like her mother in law said.This was best for all of them.They only noticed her presence little later. Sujatha left a little later with her grand daughter leaving them both alone to talk

" You were going to move to the house for me. Even if you didn't like it. "She asked her husband. 

" If I said yes. Will you stop being angry. "he asked her .

" I am not angry at you sanskar. I just get angry at myself when I remember those time of our life. I almost lost you because of that and I don't think I can joke about it yet. "his wife replied back .

" And to your question. Yes Swara.I would have moved to the house for you. Because I love you and I want you to be happy. We have hurt each other. I almost lost you because I couldn't forgive laksh and didn't want you to reunite our family . I wasn't going to do the same mistake again. If you want to live together with them again . All you need is to ask. Okay "he spoke up gazing at her with love .

" Okay. And I love you too sanskar. And I am happy as long as you are by my side that all I want because you make me happy. Only you can keep me happy sanskar. Only you. "She answered back with a smile .

His wife was wrapped up in his arms the next second. How can one not get moved by those words and he felt content. And he knew only she can keep him happy as well. Because without her there was no happiness for him.He was glad life offered him an another chance at Happiness.
