Sanskar Maheshwari : " My Brother's Girlfriend "

             It been an month since Swara started working in their  company,  And he had managed to avoid her . He was apparently good at making himself avoid her because their paths have never crossed with each other. 

         But he hadnt been able to make his mind avoid thoughts about her ,so he used to check up on her time to time from the confines of his office room . He was able to learn she was a hard worker and  everyone in her department had only praise for her.  So though she got the job using his name,  he was glad she was good at her work. He knew his luck would not favor him for long and he may  have to face her some day,  But he didn't think It would be that day .

                 He  heard from his PA  that his brother was in the  office. While his brother was just two years younger than him,  he still had no interest in taking responsibility . No one would guess he held a directorial position in the firm much less for two years as  he rarely makes an appearance .

         And Sanskar wanted to know what propelled him to come that day ,Unfortunately for him ,His brother was the director of marketing department and as his luck  would have it , Swara works in the department.

    He hadnt seen her since the first day, So he was nervous at the prospect of seeing her after a month , he  didn't know whether to interact with her or pretend to walk past her without acknowledging her , he was so confused but  he can't avoid her . So he mentally prepared himself to see her. 

                     But he wasn't prepared for her to run straight into him making it impossible to avoid her .  Because when he saw her,  she looked frightened and it made his protective instinct kick as he looked behind her to see the threat that made her run in fear .

      In the years he had knowm his brother ,his reputation of being a flirt was well known , and since he also had charm and wealth no one had ever run away from the sight of him ,except Swara .

           Sanskar looked at his brother and noticed that his face held no smile , and for that time Sanskar wondered if his brother had crossed a line because he knew his brother must  have done something to upset her.

             So Sanskar  shot his brother the  most threatening glare  that had made his brother confess quicker in the past and demanded him  to answer why someone was running away from him .

                 And the arrogant sibling of mine refused to say an word. He must have finally learnt that when it comes to his brother ,Sanskar held no power of persuasions .

        So he turned towards swara who was still standing near him , and asked her the same question but before she could say anything his brother choose to speak up .

        Sanskar grew up with his brother lies and yet he wasnt prepared for the statement where his brother introduced swara has his girlfriend.

          His brother words barely registered in his  mind, But it kept playing on my mind in an loop "Bhai it looks like you have met my girlfriend".

         When it finally registered in Sanskar mind ,he  quickly withdrew his  hand that was holding her waist to keep her from falling.  She looked bit taken back by Laksh statement. She mumbled an apology and was about to dash out when his insensitive brother voice rang out once again.

   "What don't you want to get in my brother good grace,  Come on he is powerful enough after all he is my father favorite son. Just tell him how much you love me. He will make sure our marriage happens,  Convincing him is better than trying to convince dad " Laksh kept talking while Sanskar saw swara freeze in her steps at his words .

                     Lucky ,his brother words only made him furious ,  He said she loves him , And just the mere sentence was enough for Sanskar to feel like punching his  brother.

       Still he let him speak and when he mentioned their dad that when it clicked , Swara  didn't get the job using his name. She used his brother's name.

               All Mr Gupta said was she said she claimed to  date an Maheshwari. While the fact she didn't use his name  relieved him  , the fact she wants to Marry his brother sounded much worse than anything. His mind was filled his complex thoughts that he held his silence and his brother misinterpreted his silence , thinking Sanskar was on his side . And dared to speak more

        " Answer my brother Swara , introduce yourself as my girlfriend. isn't that what you wanted to achieve by working here " Laksh question echoed in the room and for once Sanskar held his breath waiting for Swara to speak up

Swara Bose :" He was his brother "

      
                     Swara bose always believed meeting Laksh had been the worst event of her life until this moment when she realized Sanskar her boss she had crush on is his brother . 

       Somehow the past she wanted to hide was starring at her face with a smirk . She  never wanted Sanskaar to find how she  got the job at least not this way. She  ran away from laksh only to collide into Sanskaar.

      His hand that was rested on her  waist was all the kept her  from falling down .  But her  world once again shattered when she heard laksh calling him bhai.

          And just like that his hands withdrew from her waist  and she realized she will be forever considered as  his brother's girlfriend. She never expected that she may be able to let herself hope for a future with Sanskar when he was her boss but now she knew it can never happen because he was his brother .

                  She  was still feeling pretty dejected but laksh was not done  ,he had the audacity to ask  if she was his girlfriend.

         Nope that where he crossed the line. She  suddenly didn't care much about the job . She refused to stand still and let him believe she was still the girl who was scared of him .

                   She  walked towards Laksh to show that she no longer is afraid of him  ,only when she stood close to him did she finally spoke up  and made sure her voice was loud enough to be overheard by Sanskar and everyone else who have gathered to witness the argument .

             " It seems you have forgotten Laksh ,I am not your girlfriend  because I clearly remember the day I  dumped you   and it was you who begged me to give you a second chance " Swara spoke up carefully worded the sentence with truth and yet she knew any one who heard her full  story will know she was the fool not him .
                      

    Laksh stood still shocked by her  words. It may have been the truth but Swara knew his giant ego will be bruised by her statement . But she never expected laksh to lash out the way he did.

      "Then you shouldn't have used my name you bitch"  Laksh words echoed in the office room and she knew he was the worst human being she encountered in her life even surpassing her step father  , still it hurt to be called such a demeaning word.

      Before she could comprehend how to react to Laksh words ,  Sanskaar voice broke out asking his brother to apologize.  There was no other way to interpret his voice. He was angry , Well furious and the fact it was because his brother called her an bitch was mildly surprising.

                      But no one was more shocked than laksh. And he for once spoke the truth next when he told his brother how  she used his name to get the job. And while he portrayed himself as the Saint and her as an gold digger. 

      She didn't feel like contradicting him because it was the truth. And suddenly the whole job, the salary and everything else held no importance just the fact the Sanskar knew about her unethical way .

        If being his brother ex wasn't enough, she was  someone who used her  social connection and lots of lies to get this job. But she was shocked when Sanskaar announced  he knows all about it and that laksh still needs to apologize.

       And Swara turned to  look  at Sanskaar trying to understand what was going on his mind. But his face held no emotion .When laksh just walked off without saying a word ,she  wasn't surprised, laksh never apologizes.

        He didn't even apologize when he broke her  heart into a million pieces. He did apologize with words  but he never meant it.  she was so out of it that she  didn't realize she  was standing very close to sanskar  now and he had to wave his hand in front of her  twice to get her attention. 

       He simply said we need to talk and grabbed her hand and led to his cabin. This was her  dream to have him acknowldge her but  now it was her nightmare.

     All her colleague eyes were fixed on her ,judging her based on Laksh words . But she wasn't worried about them, she  was worried about the person who is holding her  hand.

          She  wished she could disappear somewhere before this confrontation . She  was not only a flirt,  She was his brother ex girlfriend  and She was the girl who got herself an job with a big fat lie. No wonder She  was scared
