Sanskar Maheshwari :" Will you Marry ..?"

                            It wasnt  a regular  date night,  Today he  planned it to be an special one . Swara will not even expect  the surprise ,and When he insisted he keep the destination an secret , She agreed because to her the date had always been about spending time with him .

                 Now that they were  driving towards the location, he was getting way too nervous.  Maybe she would  think it was too soon he wondered , But he just know that he have to ask and  hope she says yes.

                 He  stopped little bit away  from the place and asked her  to close her eyes until he says otherwise . She trusted him as her hands held on to his for support .  When they finally stopped at the destination he hoped the surprise would blew her away, because he won't this night to be unforgettable for her .

                  He   carefully led her to the designated place. And then only he asked her to open her eyes.  Slowly her eyes flickered open and first there was shock and then an smile. When she turned around to look at him ,he knew she liked the surprise .

                      She mentioned while back when they were  friends about how she wished to go camping near sea.  So when her eyes looked at the camping tent. She literally hugged him  in happiness and then she ran right towards the sea. She was beyond fascinated by it. And they  had an small picnic right in front of sea. 

         He  wanted her to be happy before he  asked the question that would bind them together for life . When he told her they will be spending the night in the tent.She couldn't believe it or she couldn't believe her dad agreed to it.

  
                   Only he knew how much convincing he had to go through to get her dad permission. He only allowed when Sanskar  told him the entire plan. But to Swara he  simply told her spending the night watching the stars with sea Breeze is the best part of camping .

                  Sanskar  wasn't much of an romantic . Yet lying on the sand gazing at the the stars while the love of your life is cuddled next to him sure made him feel romantic.  Then he  know it was time to ask the question. It was bit of an risky plan but  he had too do it right now before his courage failed him .

         Slowly  he got up and told her that he  will be right back and left. She was not worried because within their  eye sight there was another family on camping trip. Swara has managed to become friends with the wife and she adored the kids. So he  know she was safe.

                              He  had only ten minutes before she would come  in search of him . He reached the tent,  Took out the ring he carefully selected and looked Inside the ring as a smile lit up his face to see there  names engraved together.

                            He wish he could say the idea had been spontaneous but Sanskar meticulously searched the internet for ideas before deciding upon the idea of their engraved names together in the ring . It took him over a week to find the perfect ring . But it was worth it .

               Then he  started to working on the plan .  She did come in search of him . But he  manage to sneak out the tent  without her spotting him . He knew she  would love  the white rose that he placed on the bed followed by the note that asked her to follow the path laid by the white roses ,he  carefully placed one after the other making an pathway for her to follow easily . 

           He was glad she liked white rose , because it  will it be  visible clearly at night. But to be on the plus side. He also have managed to scribble her name in the sand at the start as well .

                 It took her only ten minutes to find him , And in her hands were the flowers he left for her , her hands held all 50 of them that it overflowed from her hands and yet her face was lit up in an smile that made the flowers pale in comparison .

                 He had  managed to scribble will you marry by the time she arrived. He was busy trying to write the me part of the proposal before she saw it ,but he miscalculated her enthusiasm that she reached him soon.  He  tried to be romantic but couldnt even finish writing the entire proposal. 

                 She looked at him for a long minute  where he refused to look at her because he didnt want her to see the disappointment in her face when she glanced at his half written proposal but he heard her placing  flowers down and took his stick from his hand and started writing something in the sand. 

                   He looked up  hoping she would write an yes and instead his  dear girlfriend finished his proposal ,  She finished writing the  Me part .  Then took out her phone and captured an picture with him  standing beside her  with an completely clueless look.

                     And  right after she finished taking the picture  , the water  managed to wipe out his  proposal.  Apparently he  wrote a little too close to the sea. Then she turned towards him and kissed him .He got  lost in the moment that when she took a step back  and waited for him to speak up. He remained clueless about the reason. 

           Once again he failed as a romantic. Not clearly understanding what she was expecting. Until  she spoke up.

               " You have to ask Sanskar ,if you want a answer " She spoke up with a smile and he realized he even failed to voice out his proposal .

                              He had  prepared something romantic but at the point his  mind was complete blank. He  fumbled for the  words and one look at her eyes the words came back. What he really wanted to say.

                          " Do you know when I first met you. Never had I imagined you would become the love of my life . I always believed first impression of mine were right. But you made me change my perception. You let me realize how strong you were to live with an family like yours and yet never let them bring you down. How strong you were to let me into your heart even after my brother betrayals .  You assumed  I took pity on you right. No I didn't,  I was proud of you. 

                 The need to help you might have come up with the fact I felt guilty.  But swara no one has ever managed to make me feel like this, My love for you is real.  And because I love you so much. One night with you is not enough. I wanted to spend all my life with you. Swara can you please say yes. Right I forgot. Will you marry me swara. Now please say yes before we both freeze in the cold " Sanskar spoke up as he gazed into her eyes that were brimming with tears

           " Yes " she managed to speak the one word he longed to hear and he  took the ring box  and opened it for her ,  She gently raised her hands when he showed her the ring with a smile , he  placed the Ring to its rightful place In her hand. And then he kissed her because nothing felt more right than holding her in his arms .

             Then it started rain ,he  should have checked the weather report before planning an romantic getaway.  Next time he  promised himself. While they  dashed into the tent drenched in rain giggling like idiots . It was like the first date all over again. Maybe he shouldn't check the weather report after all as he  closed their  distance and kissed her again. And her in his arms felt right. And he was  glad she said yes  because he can't live without her.
