Hi guys back with an update. Hope it lives up to your expectations

Sanskaar Maheshwari :" Do I like her?"

                  It has been two days since he  saw Swara. He stayed at his parents house for  the weekends and all he wanted was to see her and spend time with her. Because the imaginary clock was ticking and he have to tell her the truth soon .

       Yet he just wanted one more day before spilling the truth to her.  So he decided to make the most of it. He had an early morning meeting. The moment it ended he raced to her department to take  her out  for breakfast. Only she was not in her seat much to his confusion 

                   And when her colleagues told his girlfriend left with his  brother. His confusion turned into fear ,  he was  worried about her. If he could see his brother at that moment  his brother  face won't be intact. 

     A few minutes later  she walked inside the office and he raced towards her. He knew hugging her the last  time was for comfort but he had no idea why he was doing it  this time. Hugging her for her comfort or for his , he  was so sick with worry that he needed to hold her for a minute and so maybe it was for his comfort in the end. 

                    And before he could get his bearings. She gently pushed him  aside. She didn't do it last time, So he can't help but be disappointed. But one look at her face. He was back to worrying, they were in her office.

     So he asked her to come to his office ,  so he can fully understand what his  idiot of an brother did this time . But she refused his offer stating she was fine. And he knew she wasn't fine,  But he couldnt force the issue in front of others either .

      So he left her with the promise to take her out for lunch. The rest of the day passed by with him worrying over her. And finally when he was about to take her out to lunch so he can understand why she was upset. He raced out of his office only to have  an encounter with his  brother in the lift.

       He  was hoping to do it later in home not in front of strangers. Yet he couldn't very well ignore him and so  had to deal with him right now.

                      
       " Stay away from Swara . Lucky,  Next time I will not stop with just a warning " Sanskar spoke up waiting for his brother to react to his words

      " Bhai , no offense.  She may be your fake girlfriend but she was my real girlfriend. So I had to ask you to stay away.  I have decided to win her back " Laksh answered back in a casual manner that irked Sanskar more than the words. 

       And Sanskar wondered how Swara would react to Laksh over confidence and a smile lit his face at the realization it will be huge blow to Laksh ego when she rejects him.  Laksh face turned into a frown at his smile

         " It may be hard this time around ,but she took me back once before and she will do it again ,after all she loves me " Laksh lashed back and this time Sanskar smile slipped as he wasn't aware that their past was deeper than he assumed

          Now Laksh face lit up with a smile as he realized that Sanskar wasn't aware of their past.  Sanskar knew there was more than what Swara told him ,he assumed it had to do with trying to protect Laksh from his wrath not the other way around. 

      And it made sense. Awhile what his brother did was despicable, Swara resentment and anger felt like it happened recently and she was still recovering from it by the way she talks about him. 

  
  Sanskar can't help but replay the whole conversation back in his mind till he walked to Swara department.

                    He wanted to ask her the truth but he couldn't ask her  not when he was not truthful to her. He decided whatever happened between them it was in  the past.

       And he was more than happy to let it be in the past. Yet Laksh  last words kept ringing back in his mind.

        "She  loves me bhai so don't fall for her,  She loves me only. Not you. And she will choose me always. Because you don't know her like I do. But if you did like her then I win the bet. Remember that. You don't want to lose to me. Do you? " Laksh tone had been mocking him

     That stupid bet made in impulse,  What was he thinking he didn't know  when he said it will never happen. Technically he  didn't accept the bet. Yet he still remember that conversation.

       It happened back when Sanskar was in the final year of college and got aware of Laksh rakish ways  , he was still content with his life ,that his brother rakish ways irked him.

       Sanskar had asked his brother why he keeps changing the girls he dates without giving them a chance . And the conversation somehow ended up with Sanskar  stating that he will never fall for one of his girlfriends. As back then Sanskar felt Laksh girlfriends where shallow like his brother

        And Laksh remainder was his way of telling him  Swara was once his girlfriend. Sanskar never thought about it before ,it was just a statement. He didn't make it into an bet but apparently his brother took it as an bet.

     It bothered Sanskar now. And when he walked into Swara office and saw her staring at him . He  understood why because he  did fall for his brother ex girlfriend.

       Unlike his brother who cares more about his bet. Sanskar didn't  care about it . He had  more important thing to worry about because  the girl he likes apparently loves his  brother still.

       That what he was  concerned about , not about  losing to laksh on an stupid bet he made himself.

                     Swara usually remained a  silent companion but today he  can't help but wonder if she is bit more talkative with laksh. Yeah he didnt  know her well enough but he thought he did  know her.

     And laksh  words kind of shaken that faith of his , And it wasn't an pleasant feeling. The lunch was filled with awkward tension. He asked her if she was okay and she kept saying she was fine.

      There is nothing much to ask.. He did ask her what laksh said but her silence was the response.. And no matter what he tried silence was her response. So he  gave up trying to learn about it till later.

                        He  drove her back to the office, And out of nowhere she spoke up asking for a  break up. Technically not real break up but she wanted to stop pretending anymore.

         Yet it hurt so much more  to know one conversation with laksh was all it took wasn't an nice realization. And maybe his brother had been right and he was gonna lose the girl he was falling for to his brother.
