As she was diagnosed with a disease which can shake the ground for most people

Cancer

A 6 letter word which can havoc in any life.

Most children intend to be closer to their mothers than their fathers let's just call it a Mothers love which has the power to draw their child in. The love they shower upon their children in just unconditional. No love in the world can beat theirs. They are the only ones who will be there for you through good and bad times. And will do everything and anything to help and support you through life. Mothers are the ones who will are willing to die just to save their child from any harm.

How can we forget we started our journey of life by living inside of our mother's in a rough span of 9 months maybe more or less. They helped us be fully nourished with the nutrients which we acquired. Made sure the child was fully secured and safe until delivery. How selfless they became in order to keep the baby safe and secured until their birth as they beared the dismfort along with the stress.

So how can a mother not be a superhero of their children. They have the capabilities to do anything for their children na.

**********

As for Sanksar his mother was his LIFE. She was the only lady who was in his life since his birth who gave him all the love and care any child can receive. As time went by he began to appreciate all the goodness/unconditional love his mother showered upon him. He respected her ALOT. With the support of his mother he became determined to achieve the best of the best in order to give his mother the best of life. Support her in the way she has through his entire life.

And to which he somehow accomplished that. He studied well in school throughout college and university and gain best marks which helped him achieve to his destination. Along the way he was humble, kind hearted and thoughtful as he was brought up in a manor to be loving to all no matter what the reason. Maybe by doing all this he was being blessed along. As every little prayer helps na.

As Sanskar was able to achieve his dreams and managed to supply his mother with all the luxuries and comforts she can cherish throughout her life. Eventually as time went by he met someone. Someone who became a huge part of his life.

Swara. The love of his life.

She became an addition to his family which consisted of him and his mother. She clicked perfectly with his mother which was extra brownie points. They became the best of friends. Like a perfect mother and daughter. Sometimes Sanskar wondered whether he was his mother's actual son as she always seem to favour Swara. He adored the bond they shared it was something beautiful to witness seeing your mother and wife being the best of friends. His mother was never biased regarding both of them she showered them with her love equally. Indeed he was fortunate to have Swara in his life who cared and loved his mother like her own.

As they all lived life happily. Time was a thing which somehow decided that it will not support them.

One day his mother found a lump on her right breast to which she became worried. She somehow told Sanskar of her new found revelation to which he made an urgent appointment as he is aware what this could lead to. As they attended many appointments and scans. And then it was confirmed.

She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

It shook the ground of the three people who were waiting for the result. Sanksar became pale he went into shock. He was lost of words. His wife let a slight wail. He turned to the sound only to witness his mother place as a ghost. She was in trauma. He gathered himself together although it was a tough time for them. He needed to be strong for his mother and support her through this ordeal. As his mother eyes glistended with tears which simply fell out from her eyes. Her fear was understandable as you seem to to be thinking the worse at first. He simply yet gently clutched her soft hands into his and gestured her that all will be okay. And he will be there to support her through it.

As they all were trying to overcome the shock. The oncologist discussed what would be the further plan ahead. So which they discussed that a surgery will be taken place to help removed he breast along with the limphides which have happened to spread near hee armpit. This was necessary to prevent the cancer from spreading. To which all agreed.

Things somehow didn't feel the same since the revelation. But somehow they managed to get through it together as a family. In times like this you just need your love ones around to support you with care and affection you need. With that you can get through anything.

Operation was a success and the breast was removed a long with the lymph nodes as some were cancerous which happened to spread near the armpit. Since then SwaSan took great care of her as after a serious operation anyone would be very weak and sore. She was sent home with a drain which was attached beneath the breast which was removed to help the excess fluid that released. As time progressed she started to feel better as she made a great recovery. After attending a scan they discovered her cancer spread to her liver to which her treatment had to be changed to prevent it from spreading even more and increase chances of living.

But the next stage wasn't an easy one.

Chemotherapy.

Sanskars mother's treatment began where she attended hospital in order for it start with the support of her son and dil come daughter. As time progressed there was a change in health.

The disadvantage of the treatment.

She became weak. Her appetite changed. Sometimes she craved for items she dislike before other times no appetite at all. The most common side effect happened.

Hair loss. For a woman her hair is her pride and joy it's something they cherish loosing it is a huge ordeal for them. However due to circumstances she somehow overcame this ordeal as you start to believe things will get better soon.

Hope. Is something all three never lost. Which was a major factor.

Things were slowly going well. Although Sanksars mother was weak she managed to pull through. But seems like destiny had other plans in store for her. Her treatment was put on hold for sometime due to unfortunate circumstances. But when the treatment was suppose to begin. Another situation arised. She developed jaundice which causes the skin and eyes to become yellow in colour which is known as Bilirubin. This causes the breakdown of the red blood cells in the liver as generally the liver somehow managed to dispose of the old red blood cells. However when it's infected by jaundice the liver is unable to prevent it from removing the old red blood cells.

She was admitted in to hospital for sometime where she stayed there for numerous days to find the reason behind her deterioration in health. Swara stayed most of the time with her to help support her through normal activities. Whereas Sanskar used to visit whenever he has time as he was preoccupied with work.

Seems like their happy world was shaken in such a manor which snatched the ground beneath their feet. They were informed that Sanksar mothers wouldn't have long left as her cancer has spread aggressively/rapidly around most of her body along with it increasing in size in her liver. Her days were limited. Weeks to be precise.

For Sanksar it's was something hard to face. He became speechless as his mouth became dry. Finding out that his mother soon will not be part of their lives no more was indeed shocking. This news shattered him beyond his imagination. He felt defeated as he wasn't able to help his mother overcome this ordeal and expand her living chances. Somehow he managed to pull himself together and became the support of his mother like as true son. But this wasn't the worse scenario he faced.

Sujata came home after the revelation although she wasn't told about her limits days as SwaSan didn't want to stress or worry/scare her, an advise which the doctors suggested to which they complied.

She was aware of what to expect as she can see her body was giving up on her. Along with her sons behaviour she witnessed as his eyes glistended from time to time when he watched her intendly. It was heart breaking for her to watch her son in distress as she aware how much her presence matters in his life. She became his world. But she was aware it was her time to go which can't be denied. She lost her appetite completely roughly having a spoon of food daily was enough for her after many encouragement. She used to get tired pretty fast. Due to her deteriorating health she lost a huge amount of weight. She seemed to have lost her flesh as bones became visible. Her face became very slim as her cheek bones became very prominent.

Still Swasan managed to take great care of her with such delicacy as if she was a glass doll.

But things changed for the worse over night as she became completely bed bound. Her body eventually have up on her and weakness took over. Although she was breathing pretty rapidly and heavily she wasn't waking up. In a day she may wake up once or twice but wasnt able to express what she wanted. Her voice was very slurred as none was able to understand her needs. To feed her water it was had to be through a spoon as she wasn't physically able to drink it. The pain became unbearable for her at times as agony took over that. Medication was urgently needed to help her through the pain she felt. The sight was painful in itself. The cancer was killing her from within. Sanskar felt so useless/helpless as he wasn't able to decrease the agony his mother was bearing. It was a horrendous sight to witness. Heartbreaking to be precise. Yet it's something SwaSan expected.

Sometimes Sanskar's mother woke up and somehow expressed through gestures she wanted to stand and walk a little bit to which both SwaSan complied. Her restlessness increased at times as she was unable to settle due to the torture she was bearing.

Sanskar took care of his mother just like the way she did for him when he was a child. Through actions she became his child while he the parent.

Then it happened one day she just stopped breathing. Sanksar stared at his mother in shock unable to believe the sight in front of his eyes. His wife began to cry as she covered her mouth with her hands. He started at his mother keenly as there was no sight of her breathing.

He hesitantly/shakily placed his two fingers on her side of her neck to feel her heartbeat.

Nothing.

It took a while to register what has actually happened.

Then he realised.

She was no more.

He broke down in front of his mother's body as he fell to the ground drastically. His head was next to his mother face as he buried it near her pillow and cried his heart out. Swara made her way to her hubby and crouched next to him where she placed her head on her husband's back. Both expressed their pain though their tears as it was all they can do now.

Sanskar's mother survived over a week since the news of her limited days.

She was at ease now.
She was relieved from the pain she has been bearing for sometime.
She lived her life with her son who became her world and she for him.
Had the perfect daughter in law.
Lived life happily.
And battled through to death due to the disease with the support of her family

Sanskar came out of his thoughts and he felt a pair of soft hands on his knees. His son Saras was looking up at him as he witnessed his father's eyes glisten with tears. A parent can forget any grief with the presence of their child. The happiness they receive from them is something hard to express.

Children bring joys to their parents which sparkles their lives na.

He cleared his cloudy eyes and picked up his child softly and placed him on his lap.

"So how's my baby hmmm" he said

His son's just gave a happy giggle as his dimples became prominate. Sanskar started tickling his baby as he began to laugh loudly enjoying his father touch.
Babies laugh are indeed very cute na.

Eventually Sanskar stopped as be felt his child might be out of air. His son watched him keenly with his big doe eyes and continued to mutter in his language which consisted of mmmmmmm. And then it happened

"Mmmmmmmumma" his son chirped. His first ever word.

Sanskar look and his son awestruck with the new revelation he has just witnessed. He started at his son as his eyes opened wide

"What did you say baby" he said softly as he became slightly emotional at the moment. In hope to hear it again.

"Mmmmmmummmmaa" this time he said it with excitement.

Sanskar didn't know that to feel at the time with the new found revelation. Be thrilled at the fact his son said his first word. Or be worried as he feels his son think of him as him mother. Haha bechara.
His eye widened.

"Mmmmuuummmmaaaa" Saras said again but this with even more excitement. Afterall even a child is entitled to be over joyed with happiness afterall he said his first word na and heard his own voice. Proud moment of theirs I feel 😉😀

Sanskar was beyond happy. He couldn't believe he was the first one to witness this new step of his child. As his excitement increased he began to shout for his wife drastically

"Swaaarrrrraaaaa Swaaarrrrraaaaa Swaaarrrrraaaaa" he shouted not so much that he frightens his baby.

Swara came within seconds as she became startled with his shout. She thought maybe something happened to her baby Saras. Mothers are indeed very over protective especially when it comes to their child.

"Sanskar what happened. Why are you shouting. Did something happened to Saras huh" she said as she came in such a hurry only to witness her son being carried by his father in his right hip with a smile which somehow managed to bring a magical glow on their faces.

"Arrey what happened. Are you gonna say something or not. Is Saras okay? Are your okay" she said which such care. Sanksar looked at her with so much affection as his eyes glistended with tears

"Swara our Saras said his first word" he said as her eyes began to glitter with tears

"Kyyaaaa" she said in a soft shaky voice.

"Hmmmm and you aren't gonna believe what he said"

" What did he say. Hmmm. Tell me. Please. Quickly" she stated as her voice began to chirp with happiness. And then she herself witnessed her son first words.

"MMMMuuummmmaaaa" Saras said as he eyes sparkles with happiness looking at his mother. Why not afterall he is so attached to her na.

Tears slowly began to trail down her cheeks as witness one of the happiest moments of her life. Her baby said her first word. She looked at him with son much love and leaned to him and she placed a soft kiss on his cheeks to which he simply giggled. Her eyes slowly lifted to stare at her love Sanskar only to witness the same happiness she was feeling at the same time.

"Sanskar did you hear what he said. He said Mumma. He called me Mumma. Can you believe it" she expressed with joy

"Yes Swara I heard. Our baby said his first word. Afterall I'm the one who heard it first" he said as his smile reached his eyes.

She stared at her husband with so much love. She loved the fact that her Sanskar was the one who witnessed his first words and enjoyed the glorious moment. And felt proud without any envy as she felt he deserved this happiness. She simply nodded her head and she leaned towards his chest while slightly hugging him. He simply used his left arm and wrapped it around as he warm her in his embrace. Words weren't needed to express their feelings at this time as both can feel it through their heart beats. They broke the hug as they heard it again

"MMMuuummmmmmmaaaa" Saras tweeted with joy.

SwaSan broke the hug and stared at their beautiful son which they created and slowly leaned to each of his cheeks and placed a warm kiss.

Just a quick message from my side. Please appreciate your mothers as they are one of the Best creation we have been blessed with. I am a Muslim and I have been brought up to believe that Jannat (Paradise) is beneath our mother's feet. So shouldn't we cherish them with the happiness and love they deserve na. Believe me many people aren't blessed with mother's and they will do almost anything/everything to get that chance. Treat your mother with tender love and care as we maybe mother's one day and would wish to be treated with the same affection too na.

Thank you
