Chapter 30: The Unexpected Meeting
Inside her room, she sat down recalling the recent conversation. "Why am I being nicer towards Sheesh and Sahil? They should get the same energy Sanskaar gets." She exhaled and took her bracelets off. "Oh god, why am I irritated that it wasn't Sanskaar? Why do I still want to dislike him and blame him for it? Why do I feel uneasy?"
She exhaled and took her phone, opening the message from Sahil that was received 10 minutes ago.

Police Station.
Shekhar walked inside the room, handcuffed and in prison uniform, staring at Rajveer sat on the chair on the other side of the counter which was divided by a plastic transparent glass.
Shekhar took a seat and passed him a look, "what are you doing here?"
"Why did you do that?"
"Do what?"
Rajveer clenched his hands and leaned forward, "steal my daughter!"
Shekhar passed him a look, starting to think. 'There is no way Ram and Durga told him about this, they wouldn't have. . .'
"You crossed all your limits by taking my daughter away from me! I will not leave you. . ." He smacked his palm on the desk, and fumed. "If this wasn't in between us then I would've hit you!"
"Why are you getting angry on me?" Shekhar asked, exhaling while changing his expressions. "I did what I was told."
"What do you mean?"
Shekhar exhaled as he stared at Rajveer, "Ram Prasad and Durga Prasad told me to steal you child to avenge you. I was following their footsteps in the name of friendship, and now this is what I got. . ."
Rajveer clenched his jaw, "so they were involved too?"
"Yes, they planned everything and now they're acting like saints."
Rajveer fumed while Shekhar curled a small smirk, "despite knowing she wasn't your daughter, why did you treat her like shit?"
Shekhar hid his smirk just in time and sighed, "why would I treat an enemy's daughter with kindness?"
"I will make sure you get lifetime sentence, even if it means to pay the judges. I will never forgive you for all the PAIN you gave my daughter!"
Shekhar looked on and scoffed to annoy Rajveer. "Do it, I don't care. I'm going to get a lifetime imprisonment anyway so you bribing the judge won't matter."
"You're so shameless." Rajveer spat and stood up, "wasting more time with you would kill my soul!" He further insulted and stormed out.
Shekhar scoffed, "how can Ram and Durga be okay when I'm rotting in prison? Now Rajveer will take revenge from them too." He laughed, finding this peaceful.

Rajveer sat inside his car and tears slid down his cheeks. "Swara is my daughter." He couldn't believe it yet seemed grateful to know that his daughter that all of them assumed was dead is actually alive. He felt sorry towards her, he felt as if it was his fault for everything she's been through.
"I will not let you suffer anymore." He uttered and wiped his tears, "how shall I tell Janki?" He wondered and then exhaled, "how should I tell Swara that. . . I'm her real father?" He wasn't sure how to disclose this to Swara and his own family.

Hospital.
"Dad. . ." Ragini entered the cabin and looked around, not finding Rajveer anywhere. "Where could he be?" She asked herself and the sighed, heading towards his desk and placing a small white paper bag on the desk.
"It feels so peaceful here." She spoke to herself and sat on his chair, making herself comfortable. She started at his computer screen and the held the mouse, moving it around.
"Password. . . Maybe Janki." She uttered, and typed it in. It came back incorrect, she narrowed her eyes and then thought "their wedding date." She typed that in and it opened, she smiled and flicked through.
"Sir. . ." Ragini looked at the door and instantly closed the tab, logging off.
"Oh, he's still not back." The nurse spoke and stared at Ragini, who stood up. "Where is he gone?"
"He went out. . . But who are you?"
"His daughter, Ragini." She proudly uttered and walked towards her, "when he gets back, tell him I brought him food." She added and walked out of the room.

Sahil's home.
"I already apologised to her, stop staring at me like that." Sahil sighed as he passed Sanskaar and Sheesh a look. "And you two have no right to judge me, you were happy when the video was leaked."
"No we weren't." Sanskaar uttered, "I didn't know you sent it. It was unfair leaking the video in front of the whole college."
"But the video was proven to be fake, so now Swara has nothing to feel embarrassed about and like I said, I already sent her a message saying I'm sorry."
Sheesh shook his head in disbelief, "fairs. . . Swara would now treat you worse. Which means she might treat Sanskaar a bit nicer."
Sanskaar frowned while Sahil looked on. "But why? At that time I didn't like her and now I do. . . It's obvious you'd wanna do one bad thing to the person who had continuously mocked you, insulted you, swore at you, been harsh and mean to you, always looked down on you and treated you like a dog. . ."
"But still. . . It was wrong." Sanskaar uttered and Sahil sighed. "When did I say it wasn't, I already said I regret it."
"Uhh. . . He admits he was wrong and now it's up to Swara if she forgive him or not. Let's move on. . . When are you telling her you like her?"
"Uh. . . I, don't think I am."
"Why?"
"She'll never accept me."
"And?"
"She doesn't like me and I don't think she'll ever like me."
"Why are you giving up already?" Sahil asked, "keep trying."
"It's not worth it, she'll never return the same feelings."
"Then will you keep your feelings as one sided?" Sheesh asked, rolling his eyes and Sanskaar who nodded.
"How embarrassing. If you're not trying at all then let me try." Sheesh added and Sanskaar looked at him.
"Look, try and if you still feel like she won't like you then just stop. But don't give up without trying!" Sahil explained and Sanskaar gave it a thought, exhaling while making up his mind.

Few hours later, evening.
Rajveer walked inside his house, glancing around to find his wife Janki. His eyes fell on his son who walked inside while having his head down, holding his phone and scrolling with his thumb.
"Ayush." He immediately lifted his head and stared at his father. "D. . . Dad." He swallowed and put his phone in his pocket. "You're early. . ." He added, and Rajveer stared at him.
"Why are you home so late? Where were you?" He questioned and Ayush curled a nervous smile, "I was with friends. . . Studying."
"Hmm, okay. Where is Janki?"
"I don't know." Ayush shrugged and Rajveer blinked at him, "we're you actually studying with your friends?"
"Yeah." Ayush replied but Rajveer didn't believe him. "I'll let it slide this time but next time I want you to actually study, I bet you were playing games in the gaming studio."
Ayush was speechless and Rajveer scoffed, "if I don't see at least 85% on your mock exams then I'm not buying you the PS5."
"Dad. . ." Ayush moaned and frowned, Rajveer walked away and Ayush made a face. "I did so rubbish in my mock tests. That means I won't be getting PS5."
He clenched his fist and started heading towards the stairs, feeling irritated and upset.

Food Store.
Swara walked out with a bag and sighed, "we can't always buy and order food. Only if Sameer knew how to cook." She complained and started walking, feeling hungry as she hadn't eaten since morning.
It was hard for both Swara and Sameer, now that Nayonika was gone, no one else could cook and for the past day they had either stayed hungry or drank coffee. Deciding to walk back to her house, which was 10 minutes away she made her way.
She exhaled, giving a thought about the DNA test, speaking to herself "why do I feel like the DNA samples won't match?"
Her hopes aren't high, she knows they won't match as she couldn't really sense a connection. She wasn't even sure if she should go ahead with finding her biological parents anymore.
She exhaled and glanced up, focusing on the road until her eyes fell on Ragini, who kicked her car tyre frustratedly at a distance. "It's that girl. . ." Swara recognised and slowed down.
At a distance, Ragini irritatedly took her phone. "This stupid car, why did the tyre pop?"
She glanced at her phone and smacked it, "stupid network, why won't it work!" She frustratedly glanced around and saw few boys approach her.
"Do you need help?"
"No, go away!" She rudely remarked and crossed her arms across her chest.
"We were being nice. . ."
"I didn't ask for it, so get lost." She bluntly replied and they scoffed, feeling insulted.
"Ragini, if they're willing to help then be nice." They glance at the door which opened and Janki stepped out, closing the door afterwards.
"Mom, we have our own way to get help, why should we rely on someone else?"
"Mom?" The boys were shocked, "she looks so young. Like your sister."
Janki smiled, "thank you for offering help boys but, we are fine."
"Are you sure Aunty?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
They nod at her and walk back towards their car. Janki faced Ragini, "you can always tell who genuinely wants to help and who doesn't. Don't give everyone the same attitude."
"What's the point of being nice?" Ragini rolled her eyes as she asked and Janki gave her a look.
"I should've called my driver."
"Mom, you don't have to be rude."
Janki shrugged, "what's the point of being nice?"
Ragini frowned and looked away, while Janki held her phone and sighed. "Why is there no service here?"
They hear few whistles and stare at the guys on the bike, "what happened?"
Janki exhaled and Ragini didn't pay much attention. They stop and get off the bikes, heading towards them.
"Car broke down? Shall we give you a lift?"
"No, thank you for asking." Janki responded and they stare at her with a small chuckle.
"How will you get home then?"
"We will manage. You don't need to worry about it, you get home safe."
"We will get home safe but. . ."
"They said they don't need your help but you seem to be shameless." The boys turn around and Janki and Ragini look ahead, seeing Swara standing there.
"If I was you I would've left as soon as they said no. Do you not have any self-respect? Are you a beg?"
They got offended and stare at her while Ragini smiled and Janki merely stared at her.
"Who are you and why are you interfering?"
Swara scoffed, "how could I not interfere seeing you tease two woman on the road alone in the dark. Why is that? Oh wait, there is no one else around here. . . Are you cowards that only come in the dark to take advantage of girls?"
They grit their teeth, starting to get angry.
"Seems like it." Ragini agreed and sighed, "it's sad how woman can't freely walk on streets because of men like them."
"You. . ."
"If you have a little bit of respect for your mother, then leave. . ."
"You're speaking to much, who do you think you are? Mother Theresa?" One of the guy mocked and she stared at him in disbelief.
"Then what does that make you? Adolf Hitler?"
Ragini felt satisfied and relaxed after hearing Swara speak, smiling at her and recognising her too. Janki was reminded few memories of herself from the past after hearing Swara and scoffed a small smile.
"Let's leave." His friend uttered and the guy shook his head. "No."
"They actually are shameless. . ." Ragini sighed in disbelief.
"Yes, I am shameless, so what are you going to do about that?" He aggressively held Swara's hand, ready to fight and Swara stared at him unaffectedly.
Janki stepped forward and freed Swara from his hold, slapping him across the face as hard as she could.
"Holding her hand without her permission is harassment. Did your mother raise you to bully girls for fun? What if someone harassed your sisters on the street like this! I'm sure you'll let the boys do what they want with your sisters wouldn't you?"
"Aye!"
"Keep your tone down!" Janki shouted back while pointing her finger at him angrily.
Swara stared at her in shock while Ragini looked on, seeing her mother this angry for the first time.
Janki scoffed, "did it hurt this much? But I only said it. . . If you don't want to be cut with wounds then don't give anyone else the same wounds. It'll be selfish!"
"Let's leave." His friends pull him back and force him to sit on the bike.
Janki faced Swara, and Ragini walked towards them.
"I've never seen you this angry Mom." Ragini revealed and Janki sighed, "it's been a very long time since I have gotten this angry. . ."
Swara snapped out of it and hesitated, "Do you need any help?" She nervously asked and they stare at her.
"Yes." Ragini replied instantly and then looked at Janki again. "Mom I like this girl. Let's accept help from her."
"This is the first time you said you like someone that you never met before." Janki was surprised as she looked at Ragini.
Ragini nodded, but it wasn't true, she had met Swara before this too and looked at Swara, "she impressive."
Swara felt awkward yet tried to curl a smile, realising Janki doesn't know that her and Ragini met before.
"I live close by, do you guys want to come around and get a lift from there? The network is bad here too. . ."
"How far is it?" Ragini spoke instantly before Ragini could, agreeing to Swara and Janki looked on.
"It's 10 minutes from here."
"Okay, let's go."
Swara nodded and Janki sighed, Ragini glanced around. "Where is your car?"
"I don't have one."
Ragini looked at her, "so how are we getting there?"
"Walking."
"W. . . Walking?"
Swara nodded and Ragini looked on. "10 minute walking?"
"You wanted to go, now come." Janki uttered and signalled Swara to lead the way.
