Chapter 18: A Moment Together
"Really? Did she agree to help?" Kavita shook her head positively, and Swara sighed a relief. "I also. . ." Kavita stopped after sensing someone entering the room, turning her head to the side.
"What's going on? What are you planning?" Sameer questioned, as he stood in front of Swara, curious to know to help them.
"Not sure if we can trust you." Kavita spoke, facing Sameer while staring at him suspiciously. "How did she trust you then?" He scoffed, blinking at her with seriousness. "Because I am trustworthy but you. . . Not sure, how do we know you're not a spy for that Shekhar?"
"And how do we know you don't have any alternate motives behind helping Swara? As far as we know, you're self-centred and selfish, you've only cared about yourself, so I wonder what you're doing here. . ." He insulted, and Kavita stayed silent, merely clenching her fist while glaring at Sameer.
"Enough. Please don't argue." Swara interrupted, "Kavita is not here for any other motive and neither is Sameer a spy for Shekhar Gadodia." Swara added in a stern tone as she glanced at both of them.
"But still. . ." Both Kavita and Sameer utter at the same time, unable to trust each other because of their dislike towards each other.
"There's no but, I know I can trust you two. . ." Swara trialled off, sounding confident and then glanced at Sameer "The plan is to." Swara stopped, glancing at the opened door and walked towards it, her eyes fall on Sahil and Sanskaar, who were stood outside and her eyes briefly met with Sanskaar's for few seconds, before she closed the door.
Sanskaar lowered his gaze while thinking, 'Swara went through so much, and I was so rude towards her. The reason why she dislikes boys is because of her traumatic experience with Jayant, and I. . . I can't believe what I done without knowing Swara's story.' He was even more guilty and ashamed of himself, he felt a void in his heart and curses himself for the deed he done.
Sahil was waiting for Sheesh, feeling awkward to be with Sanskaar all by himself. Sanskaar sighed, leaning against the wall and raised his gaze, seeing Sahil stood at a distance with his back facing him. Sahil tried his best to avoid Sanskaar while he can.
"Sahil. . ." Sanskaar called out, putting an effort in despite knowing it'll be useless. "I'm sorry."
Sahil scoffed, facing Sanskaar. "You're sorry?" Sanskaar shook his head positively, still having hope that Sahil may forgive him. "For what?"
"For blaming it all on you and Sheesh." Sahil rolled his eyes, ignoring him again and Sanskaar continued "I already told Kavita the truth, that I was also behind it and that I was the one who planned it."
"So? What should we do?" Sanskaar cocked his head to the side while Sahil glanced at Sheesh walking towards them. "That doesn't change the fact that you left us to be cursed, mocked and humiliated by the whole college. That doesn't change that we were the evil ones, that doesn't change that you let the whole blame fall on us." Sheesh continued, standing next to Sahil while passing Sanskaar a disgusted look. "You don't deserve our friendship, your only punishment is to rot without any friends! I curse you, you'll die a loner!" Sheesh exclaimed his agony, gritting his teeth afterwards, feeling irritated and angry with the glance of Sanskaar's face.
Sanskaar merely blinked at Sheesh, "what else do you want me to do? You said to tell Kavita if I was sorry and I did. She hates me now."
"But we didn't say we would forgive you." Sahil reminded as he blinked at Sanskaar, "and what have you thought of us? Are we going to beg you to do things for us? Who even are you for us to tell you what you need to do!" Sahil added an exclaim, getting slightly angry.
Sanskaar was hurt, and upset as Sheesh walked towards him. "You know what. . ." He trialled off, slapping Sanskaar across the face. "Even this wasn't satisfying enough to forgive you."
Sanskaar, who's face tilted to the side by Sheesh's slap, closed his eyes and inhaled a deep breath to calm himself down.
The door opened and Sameer stepped out, Sanskaar opened his eyes seeing Swara and Kavita walk out. Swara sensed tension between Sheesh and Sanskaar, giving the two a look, yet not caring.
"Get into your roles, it's time to start. . ." Swara ordered and the trio merely nod their heads at her.

"Nayonika, listen to me. . ." Nayonika continued ignoring and walking away from Shekhar, "Nayonika!" Shekhar was frustrated and irritated with Nayonika's ignorance and held onto her hand to stop her.
Nayonika continued avoiding Shekhar, fuming as she glanced down at the floor. "Just look and me and stop ignoring me."
"You fell from my eyes Shekhar, I could never expect you to fall this low. How dare you do that to Swara?" Nayonika angering questioned as she glanced up at Shekhar.
Shekhar was surprised, "when did you start caring about her?"
Nayonika freed herself from Shekhar's hold, glaring at him in a serious mood. "I can't forget that she's a girl. And no girl deserves abuse and molestation Shekhar! You crossed all your limits by letting Jayant do that to Swara!"
"Oh come on Nayonika, you're fighting with me over her? Seriously? It's Swara, have you forgotten who she is?"
"Shekhar, she is still a human. She has feelings, and she does not deserve rape!" Nayonika made clear and stormed off, furious and done with Shekhar's behaviour towards Swara.
Swara, Kavita, Sahil, Sanskaar, Sheesh and Sameer witnessed this from a distance and Swara watched Nayonika walk away from the main hall.
"Mr Gadodia." Swara called out, shifting her eyes on Shekhar and Shekhar turned his head towards her. "You have till tonight to pack your bags and leave my house! After the charade you pulled off, how did you think I would allow you to stay here?"
"And what made you think I'll actually leave? This is my house!" Shekhar argued back, clenching his fists as he walked a little forward, facing Swara. "It WAS, now it's mine!"
"You took it away from me by deceit!"
"Just the way you took it by deceit! Anyways, I don't have time to hear your nonsense, you have till tonight to get out from my house or else I would kick you out!" She warned fiercely, now facing Sanskaar "If he doesn't leave by 7 then just drag him out, okay?"
"Okay Ma'am." Sanskaar responded and Swara looked back at Shekhar. "Who are you to kick me out of my own house?"
"Why should I even let you stay in my house? After all that you've done. . . You will be speaking to my bodyguard after 7!" Swara exclaimed in response and faced Sahil, "Ma'am, are you sure you would like to fix a meeting with the shareholders and cancel Jayant's deal?"
"Yes, fix my appointment with the shareholders." Swara confidently uttered and Shekhar's eyes widened, his heart skipped a beat "Don't you even dare, do you realise what risk the company would go in?"
"Did I ask for your opinion? Who even are you to tell me what to do, just mind your own business and prepare yourself to leave!"
Shekhar exhaled a fume as he stared at Swara, Swara faced Sahil again "tell me what else I have scheduled for today."
"Ma'am, you also have a meeting with Mr Goenka today in the evening. He would like to fix the terms with you for the new contract."
"Goenka. . ." Shekhar trialled off, clenching his jaw. "He would want a share in the company! You can't. . ."
Swara exhaled a breath, "Let's go talk somewhere quieter, all I can here is someone uselessly barking." Swara interrupted and insulted, walking with Sahil.
"Sasur. . ." Sheesh stopped as he grabbed Shekhar's attention, "sorry, my future wife cut all relations with you. . . So Mr Gadodia, get ready to leave this house. If you don't then we won't sit idle, we will get our bodyguard to kick you out ruthlessly!" Sheesh added, giving Shekhar a look before walking away.
"Why would Swara keep you when you're useless? Isn't this similar to. . . How do they say it. . ." Kavita trialled off, ready to insult Shekhar "corner mein kutta. . . (The dog in the corner)"
"Not really, because Dogs are more loyal and more worthy, he would be like those object that are uselessly laying around in the house, unwanted and unneeded." Sameer added to Kavita's insult, finding himself at peace as he spoke.
Shekhar rolled his eyes away, feeling his heart boil with anger.
"If you wants to stay in this house then do something productive, find yourself something you can be used to, cause Swara won't feed you for free!" Kavita exclaimed and walked away.
Sameer turned towards Sanskaar, "kick him out no matter what, unless your Madam says so." Sanskaar nodded his head at Sameer's instructions and Sameer left the hall.
Sanskaar gave Shekhar a look before walking away, while Shekhar huffed, kicking the nearby table and knocking the lamp off.
While walking, Sanskaar glanced around, seeing Sheesh and Sahil laughing while sat at the dining table, mocking Shekhar amongst themselves whereas Kavita was scrolling on her phone, sat on the end of the table. His eyes continued moving around, searching for only one person. He continued moving, searching for Swara. Unknowingly, he felt a chill of tension pass down his spine, worrying she might be in danger. He reached her room and instantly looked inside, at an instant relief after seeing her in front of his eyes. He further moved inside, watching her stand on a stood and pulling down a suitcase from on top of her wardrobe.
"Do you need any help?" He questioned out of the blue, startling her with his voice and she slightly moved back, loosing her balance on the stool.
Seeing her slowly falling, he ran forward to hold her on time, preventing her from falling onto the floor and hurting herself. She gasped, finding herself securely and safe and sighed a relief, lifting her gazes to find Sanskaar's concerned eyes blinking at her. A silent breeze passed between the two, as they continued blinking in each other's eyes, hearing merely silence.
"Are you okay? You should've been careful." He uttered, walking closer to her bed and helping her sit.
"I'm fine, but this is your fault." She firmly uttered as she blinked at him.
"My fault?"
"You startled me, which is why I lost my balance." She replied harshly and stood up again.
"Let me help you."
"No need."
He didn't bother listening to her and tiptoed, reaching up for the suitcase and pulled it down for her. "You're so short." He mocked and let the suitcase drop onto the floor.
"Did I ask for your opinion?" She harshly questioned and leaned down, holding the suitcase.
She dragged it towards her bed and placed it on her bed. He walked closer to her.
"You can leave."
"I'm your bodyguard and I was assigned to stay close to you." He replied and she cocked her head to the side, watching him shrug at her.
"You can wait outside the door then. I don't need you so close to me!"
"But. . ." Swara ignored him and unzipped the suitcase, opening it. She wasn't interested in spoiling her mood because of Sanskaar, her mission was more important.
Sanskaar lowered his gaze as he blinked down at what was inside the suitcase while Swara carefully took a Saree out. She caressed it with a small smile, bringing it closer to her chest.
"Is that your mother's saree?" He questioned and she shook her head positively, swallowing as she faced him. "Call Kavita."
He nodded as he blinked at her, "are you okay?" He asked, sensing her mixed emotion.
"I'm fine."
He didn't believe her, feeling her pain and sighed. Pulling her into a hug, surprising her.
"It's okay for you to show your emotions." He assured, caressing her hair.
She merely blinked, unable to react to this sudden concern of Sanskaar. "What are you doing?"
"You've only kept your sufferings to yourself, it must've hurt not being able to live with all the tortures around you. You were in misery, and we only judged you without knowing your story. I'm sorry Swara, I know it still hurts but you don't always have to be strong, let it all out." He kindly remarked, continuing to caress her hair and she sighed, pushing him away.
"If I had to let it out, you'll be the last person to see me like that." She confidently retorted as she stared at Sanskaar.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" Shekhar's yell caught Swara and Sanskaar's attention and they stared at the door, Swara dropped the Saree on her bed and rushed out, followed by Sanskaar.
"What happened?" Kavita questioned as she stood up.
Sheesh and Sahil walk towards Shekhar, who was blowing on his hand.
"I can't do this stupid shit! I. . . Burnt my hand!" He angrily answered Kavita back, slamming the cooking spatula on the floor in anger and frustration.
The spatula stopped in front of Swara, and she glanced at Shekhar who was fuming in pain.
