Chapter 15: Truth Said

After reaching home, he was stopped by his mother. "You're helping Swara?"

He shook his head positively and she slapped him across the face.

"You're such a disgrace!" Sujata yelled and the dim lights of the Maheshwari Mansion brightened as few members walked out.

Kavita makes her way forward and looks at Sanskaar, who lifts his head.

"I got your message. . ." She trialled off and walked forward, slapping him across the face. "And I hate you for doing that. . ."

"What happened Sujata? Who is this girl?" Annapurna asked while stopping next to Durga Prasad, staring at Sanskaar and Kavita.

Sanskaar lowered his head, knowing he won't have the strength to meet everyone's eyes.

"What should I say Jiji? My own son disappointed me, he. . ." Sujata began to cry. "I'm so ashamed of him!" She shouted and Ram walked forward to console her.

Annapurna, Durga Prasad and Ram blinked at Kavita, automatically assuming something had happened between her and Sanskaar.

"You thought you could impress me after ruining Swara's life? What made you think I would accept your apology? Haan?"

"What. . . Swara?" Durga Prasad shockingly asked.

"Yes, he ruined Swara's life, he mocked her in front of the whole college and all he says to me is. . ." She replied and takes her phone out, opening the message Sanskaar had sent her. "I have a confession to make. I was involved with Sheesh and Sahil, I'm sorry." She read out and looked back at Sanskaar, who still had his head down.

"You're disgusting! And, I didn't mean to tell your Mum everything but she continued asking me questions and I told her everything, in anger."

"And don't show me your ugly face ever again!"  Kavita added before storming past Sanskaar and towards the exit.

"I can't believe you would do such a low act like that Sanskaar." Sujata uttered, blinking at him in disgust.

"What did he do?" Ram asked and Sujata looked at him. "He. . ." She wasn't sure if she should tell everyone about Sanskaar's deeds, but yet again, she couldn't hide anything from his father.

She began to narrate everything that had happened, shocking everyone. They never expected Sanskaar to fall this low, just to impress a girl he liked, they felt ashamed and guilty on his behalf, knowing they won't be able to meet Swara after their son pulled a shameful act.

Ram had clenched his fist and walked towards Sanskaar, standing in front of him. "You disappointed me! How can you fall so low that you ruined someone else's life just to impress a girl you liked?"

"D. . ."

"Just shut up! Despite being wrong you still have the audacity to answer me?" Ram angrily roared, absolutely ashamed of his son.

"Is this what we taught you?" Ram lashed out again, feeling so angry that he could literally hit Sanskaar million of times, but still wouldn't get satisfaction.

"I. . ."

"You can't stay here, get out." Ram interrupted and Sujata looked on.

"But Ji. . ."

"No Sujata, don't interrupt! He isn't staying in this house at all!" Ram decides, holding Sanskaar's hand.

"Dad I, I'm guilty for my behaviour too but. . ."

"What you did is shameful! You have no space in this house. Don't think it's cause of Swara that we're getting angry. . . If you did this act to any other girl, my decision would've stayed the same!" Ram sternly exclaimed, dragging Sanskaar out with him.

"Ji, please we. . ."

"No! No one will speak in between. I can't stand his face after what I heard. . . He can't stay in this house until he earns Swara's forgiveness. The day Swara forgives him, he would be allowed back in this house!" Ram says and pushes Sanskaar out of the door, closing it straight after.

Sanskaar sighed as his eyes became watery, he never expected this much to happen after the mistake he made, he was now homeless and had no place to go to. If Sheesh and Sahil weren't angry on him, then their home would've been his first option, Sheesh slightly more as he doesn't have a sister and merely stays with his mother. But now, he had no friends, no money and no place to go and take shelter under.

**

"Kavita, when did you come back?"

"Today." She sighed, walking inside Swara's room while Swara takes a seat on her bed.

"What happened?"

"Nothing. . ."

"You can't lie to me Kavita, you only come here when you're upset and stressed." Swara uttered and Kavita let out a small sigh, taking a seat next to Swara.

"Sanskaar, he told me the truth about his involvement in the video thing with Sheesh and Sahil."

"He did?"

"Wait, you knew?"

"I. . . Yes." Swara answered and Kavita looked at her. "Then why didn't you tell me?"

"It wasn't as easy, I didn't have any proof."

"And you thought I wouldn't believe you?"

"I just didn't want your heart to break."

"Swara, it's true I started feeling for him but I wasn't attached to him."

"I'm surprised he admitted to it, he didn't seem like he would after impressing you."

"I hate him at the moment, he played with my feelings, and hurt you. Urghh! I wish I could just murder him."

"Mutual feelings." Swara remarked and Kavita blinked at her. "What's the help Sanskaar's Mom was talking about?"

"Hmm?"

"Yeah, she was asking him if he was helping you. . ."

"How do you know?"

"I was there and I. . ."

"You told them?"

"I blurted it out in anger."

Swara let out a small sigh. "Good, why do we care about what they do to him. . ."

"Right, he can just rot." Kavita remarked and lays down, covering herself with the duet.

"So, I named the whole property on my name."

"What, really?"

"Yes, I want to torture Shekhar Gadodia."

"What, why? What did I miss?"

Swara laid down, facing Kavita. "He killed my Mum."

Kavita dropped her mouth in aghast while Swara starts telling her everything, including her plan.

**

He was sat on a bench, in an empty park and rubbed his cold hands together. Feeling extremely sad as he watched the stars twinkling in the dark sky. He began to regret to this extent that now he started hating himself, he wasn't even sure why he was still breathing. He hurt an innocent soul, upset his friends, fell from the gazes of the girl he liked and disgraced his parents. His one mistake had created a heavy impact in his life, his heart pained with different emotions as he released a small breath of shiver. His mother and father's words were playing in his mind repeatedly and he closed his eyes, feeling like an extremely failure, that should walk away from everyone's life. He ended up hurting everyone and now finds it hard to cope up.

When the thought of walking away came across his mind, his heart wouldn't allow him to consider it as his heart knew Swara's forgiveness is much more valuable than just moving away from everyone. His heart knew he couldn't live in peace until he gains Swara's apology, alongside Sheesh's, Sahil's and Kavita's.

His eyes opened again and he exhaled a shivery hot breath, laying on the bench while glancing up at the sky.

'Why are you being sad Sanskaar? You deserve this.' His subconsciousness yelled from within while he merely blinked at the moon.

***

"Wake up Swara, it's morning." Kavita yelled across the room while putting her lipstick on.

Swara released a small yawn, opening her eyes while sitting up.

"Get ready now. If you're late then it won't be fun." Kavita uttered as she finished applying her lipstick and turned towards Swara.

"Ufff. You're more excited than me." Swara replied with a small yawn and pulled her blanket to the side, preparing to get down from her bed.

"Why wouldn't I be? Shekhar's reactions would be priceless after what you'll do today!"

Swara curled a small smirk after hearing Kavita and shook her head positively.

"Do you think he will leave the house?" Swara questioned while walking towards her wardrobe.

Kavita rolled her eyes while picking the perfume up. "Buddha would be stubborn, he would never leave such a lavish place. I'm sure he planned something to stay."

"Right, and that's what I want." Swara revealed and Kavita curled a small smirk, knowing exactly what Swara's plan is. "But Kavita, are you sure you wanna help me?"

Kavita turned towards Swara, blinking at her. "I'm honestly so proud of you Swara. . . You're fighting against your own father, who is evil. And I had enough of being selfish and caring about myself, please, give me a chance to repent too."

"Repent for what Kavita? You never did anything wrong. . ."

"No Swara, you know that too. I have always cared about myself, when you had always cared about me before yourself. . . I wouldn't have realised how selfish I was until your idiotic so called brother Sameer insulted me at the coffee shop. He made me realise I only cared about myself and that is true! You have always cared for my happiness and you know for a fact that I cared about myself. You have always been my best friend but I never showed any traits for that. What exactly was I proud of? If I be honest then I'm nothing without you. Whenever you were in pain, I never bothered asking what was wrong but whenever I was upset, you had always done so much to cheer me up. Can I just get a chance to do something for you? I know it's not enough, but can I at least try?"

Swara was speechless while Kavita walked towards her, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you for always being with me. Now let me be part of this mission." She uttered, breaking the hug and Swara shook her head positively with a small smile.

"Get ready for a bumpy ride."

"Always ready!" Kavita excitedly uttered, throwing her hair strand behind her back.

Swara heads towards her bathroom while Kavita turns around towards the mirror, glancing at herself from a distance.

*

While heading towards the main hall, Shekhar stops in front of Sameer, who was sat on the couch talking on the phone.

"Yeahh, don't worry. I'll come to the party."

Shekhar clenched his fist, waiting for Sameer to finish his conversation. "Yeah, cool. Bye." Sameer disconnected the call with a smile and instantly began to fiddle around with his phone.

"How can you be so relaxed after what happened?" Shekhar asked and Sameer looked up at him. "I'm busy, talk to me later."

"Busy doing what!"

"That's none of your business Sheks."

Shekhar narrowed his eyebrows, "Sheks?"

"Yeah you, your name is Shekhar right? That's too long for me to say so now you're Sheks."

Shekhar grit his teeth in anger. "Where are your manners?"

"The moment you slapped me across the face, they died for you. D I E D!" Sameer remarked, angering Shekhar even more and averted his gazes to his phone again. "Now excuse me Sheks, I've got a party to attend." Sameer added, standing up and Shekhar huffed, starting to loose his patience.

"First Swara and now you! What do you two want from me?!"

"For you to pay for your deeds!"

Shekhar turned around, watching Swara walk towards him in a stylish attire and Sameer glanced at Kavita, who was following Swara into the hall. Swara feels Shekhar's gazes on her outfit and scoffs.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that? I'm the owner of every property that exists, so I need to look presentable right?"

Shekhar clenched his fists, glaring at Swara. "You took that by deceiving us!"

"Why are you still in my house?" Swara questioned and Shekhar went a little silent, thinking of a reply.

"This is my house, you can't kick me out!"

"Was your house Mr Gadodia. . . I want you out of this house! The only person I can stand is Sameer, so he can stay as long as he wants. But you can't! Now get out!"

"I will not leave!"

Swara rolls her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest. "Kavita, can you please call the police. He's in my house without my permission."

Shekhar widens his eyes while Kavita takes her phone out, smirking at Shekhar. "Sure, why not."

"I'm sure Mr Gadodia knows he can get jailed for invading in your property." Kavita added, unlocking her phone.

Shekhar, who began to get nervous stood with the same facial expressions, not wanting to show his fear. "You can't, this was my property before."

"But it isn't yours now." Sameer says, siding Swara against Shekhar.

"I don't have any other place to go. You stole every single property of mine!" Shekhar shouts, glaring at Swara who blinks at him with a scoff.

"Stole? I took what was mine. You were the one who stole it!"

"How can you be so heartless and evil?" Shekhar questioned, shaking his head in disgust.

"I've stayed with you for a long time, so I watched and learned." She insulted and continued "But I don't wanna be disgusting like you, so I'll let you stay."

"Who were you to even kick me out of my house?"

"Talking to you is useless! But let me tell you one thing, you can stay in my house but on one condition. . . You have to do all the house work!"

"What rubbish!"

"Invading into other peoples property without their permission can actually get you jailed." Kavita reminds, threatening him and Swara blinked at Shekhar with a smirk.

"So get going and clean the kitchen!"

"I will not."

"I'm not going to show mercy again. You either have to do the housework, or leave, or get jailed. Choice is yours!"

While Swara walked away, Kavita stood there looking at Shekhar. "I'm sure you won't go jail. So you're leaving right? Should I call a taxi for you?"

Shekhar glared at Kavita with irritation. "No!" He responded and walked away, fuming in extreme anger.

"Why are you here?" Sameer asked, looking at Kavita.

"That's none of your concern and before you say this is your house, think again. The owner isn't your Dad anymore!" Kavita retorted and walked away, leaving Sameer annoyed with her attitude.

*

"This is ridiculous! How dare she insult me and take my property away from me? How dare she even think of kicking me out! I need to do something to cut her wings!" Shekhar mummers to himself while entering the kitchen.

After fuming a lot, his mind plans out something, which he himself began to concentrate on to make it happen.

"Yes, this would be perfect." He uttered, instantly taking his phone out of his pocket.

*

As Swara was sat on the couch, two people walk inside the house.

"Swara. . ." She placed the magazine that she was reading down and glances at Ram and Durga Prasad walk inside.

"Come inside, take a seat." She uttered after standing up, happy to see the two walking towards her.

Ram and Durga Prasad were slightly awkward as they took a seat.

"Thank you so much for coming." She uttered and they nod at her. "And thank you for agreeing to help." She added in a low tone.

"Mention not." Ram uttered and Swara smiles at him. She picks her phone up, messaging someone.

"They will be here in a bit. Are you sure you want to go ahead with this?"

"Yes." Both Ram and Durga Prasad confidently respond to her question and she nods at them with a small smile, not sure if she should go ahead with this but in-order to trigger Shekhar, she has to.

"What are they doing here?" Shekhar asked as he angrily walked inside the hall.

"That is none of your concern, so stay out of it!" Swara rudely answerd him back and Shekhar glared at Durga Prasad and Ram.

"It is my concern."

"Can you leave already? You're not needed here! This is between me and them, so stay out of it." Swara lashed at him, and he huffed.

"This is all your fault. You two must've influenced her to go against me so you can take my property. Shameless people!"

Swara angrily stands up, facing Shekhar. "How dare you insult my guests? And with what right! Don't forget the doors are still open for you to exit. Now apologise to them."

"Are you out of your mind? Me and apologising to them? Never!"

"Now!"

"No need, let him bark like he always does, it's nothing new." Durga Prasad uttered, insulting Shekhar.

"You shut. . ." Before Shekhar could complete, he sees bunch of news reporters and camera men walk inside.

Swara turns towards his direction and sees the news reporters and camera men.

"Hi, welcome. . ." She trialled off, folding her hands.

"Ma'am, are you ready to declare what you wanted to declare?" One of the new reporter asked and Swara shook her head positively.

The camera men begin to press a button and record Swara, who keeps her hands folded.

"Thank you so much for coming on such a short notice. . . I wanted to say that I have became the owner of Gadodia properties, which includes the business."

"Wow, that's great. Did Mr Gadodia name his property on your name?"

"Yes. He was saying no one can handle it better than me." Swara lies and turns her head towards Shekhar, who rolled his eyes.

"Durga Uncle, Ram Uncle. Can you two please come here." She added, calling Durga Prasad and Ram in front of the camera.

The two stood up and headed towards Swara.

"Well I, the sole owner of Gadodia empire, have decided to merge my company with Maheshwari's." She disclosed, shocking Shekhar.

"What!" Swara ignored Shekhar and glanced at the reporters for their questions.

"Why did you take this decision?"

"Because we feel like this will benefit both of the companies." Swara answered.

"What is your take on this Mr Maheshwari?"

"I think this will be a great decision for us because we will be financially stronger." Ram answered.

"And also we will be able to complete many contracts as now with the merge of the companies, we will fill in what we lacked." Durga Prasad continued his opinion.

"What is you take on this Mr Gadodia?"

Shekhar was silent and shocked, unable to respond.

"Ba Ba is a little happy with this merging decision because now he will finally gain what he lacked." Swara replied, lowkey insulting him.

"We heard Maheshwari's and Gadodia's were enemies, what happened that this decision was made?"

"There was no reason for our enmity to continue, so we decided to become friends." Durga Prasad answered.

Ram opens the file and forwards it to Swara, who takes the pen from Ram's coat and signs on it. She then passes the pen to Ram, who signs a page and passes it to Durga Prasad, who signs the other page.

"That's enough for today, thank you." Swara uttered and the news reporters shook their heads.

One by one, they began to walk out after recording everything.

"Thank you, we will keep you updated." Swara nodded at Ram and they began to exit the house.

"How dare you!"

"You have no rights to interfere!"

"You. . ." Shekhar stops as he touches his chest, still in shock.

"Ah. . ." He stumbled forward, feeling his face heat up and his heart paining.

"What are you doing?" Swara confusingly asked and Shekhar collapsed onto the floor.

"Shekhar!" Nayonika worriedly shouts, rushing towards him.

"What happened?" She worriedly asked and bent down, touching Shekhar while Swara looked on.

"Call the Doctor please!" Nayonika shouts. Starting to cry after seeing Shekhar unconscious.

Sameer and Kavita walk out after hearing Nayonika shout, only to see Shekhar laying on the floor, unconsciously.
