**His Lover Her Strength**
Season 2

Chapter 4

"I want to go to Badi Maa." Swara declared with a blank face.

Sanskar's face immediately turned pale hearing her words, he placed his hand on his shoulder only to be shrugged away roughly.

Fear gripped his heart, seeing her building walls around herself, and pushing him away far from her.
He won't allow this to happen, at any cost, even if he had to beg from her.

"Swara" he whispered her name ever so slowly, his heart thumping hard in his rib cage.

She heard his whisper, his fear, his love that spoke, but her gaze was fixed on her feet which refused to move, no matter how much ever she try.

After hearing when doctor said that she will be fine soon, nobody knows but she tried her best to move her legs, she cried, hit, even almost fell of the bed, but her feet refused to respond on her, even now.

Finally, breaking her hope and making her feel a burden on them, those looks of sympathy in the eyes of everyone making it even worse.

Sanskar held her face between his palms, making her come back from her thoughts that are eating her up from inside.

Shomi last time caressing her hair left the room, knowing only Sanskar can handle Swara.

Tears were rolling down her eyes, tears of helpnessness, tears of pain, seeing her only daughter in that condition. She didn't know whom to blame for her condition. She slowly wiped the tears from her face not wanting to loose her hopes, holding on the last thread of hope she have left inside due to Sanskar, his love for her daughter, remembering the doctor's words after he came out examining Swara.

Doctor came out of the room examining Swara, and saw only Sanskar and Shomi standing in front of him, with curosity and fear in their eyes.

Their emotions even breaking the heart of the doctor, gulping a lump that formed in his throat he moved forward.

Doctor: Mr. Maheshwari, I need to talk to you about Swara's condition.

Shomi nodded her head, words not coming out of her mouth, her hands formed in tight fists, while sweat was formed on her forhead.

While Sanskar almost stumbled back, thinking about his Swara, his heart fell a shooting pain, remembering how his wife, loves to roam around, how she can't stay at a place and needs to run here and there every minute. But now how ?

His body shook with the thoughts, if he in unable to bear the pain, then how his Swara will go through it. What will be her condition? He knows She will break down, and he is unable to figure out how he will handle her.

Doctor: As I told you all, that due to accident, her spine got compressed, so now Mrs. Maheshwari is not able to move her legs, we tried everything but her lower half got paralysed.

Shomi:(shocked and a pained expression): No No No.. you are lying right.. we know this cant happen. My shona is fine, we just saw her.

Doctor: Look Mam, we understand your emotions, but I am sorry this is the truth.. but.

Shomi cut off the doctor in between.

Shomi: Even if it is truth, cant you do anything to make my daughter alright. Being a doctor, saying sorry is easy, but you dont know how it feels to go through this pain. I dont know how will you do it but I want my daughter fine. 

She shouted angrily, but soon tears fall down her eyes, and she slumped down on the floor folding her hands in front of the doctor.

Shomi: Please doctor, I want my daughter fine, you dont know her but she wont be able to bear it, she wont. She will die.

She cried her heart out.

Doctor: I can understand Mam, but we can save her by doing operation. We would have done it immediately if her condition would have been stable enough. Right now operating her can even make her loose her life.

Doctor said, snapping Sanskar out of his thoughts, who was lost thinking about Swara.

"No.. No. No..,we wont do any operation. No matter the condition I just want my wife with me. Safe." Sanskar said immediately shaking his head.

"But we can do thi later right?" asked Shomi with a hope in her voice.

"Yes, we can conduct the operation as well when she will be stable and healthy to bear the operation,if you want, but then chances of getting better will drop down immensely." Doctor said.

While their whole family stood shocked hearing what doctor said, who came back when doctor started narrating about Swara's condition.

Doctor patted Sanskar's shoulder and a murmured a 'take care' and left the place, letting them sink in the news properly.

Shomi came back to her senses when a nurse shook her from side, and asked her to bring medicines for Swara, she nodded and left to the pharmacy.

In the hospital room,

Sanskar sat there cupping her face, forcing her to look at him, a look of his face, she lost all her strength, she just wanted to hide in his embrace, wanting him to protect her from everything happening in their life right now, wanting him to soothe the pain she is feeling in her heart, the pain which is gulping her soul from within.

Sanskar shook his head wiping the tears that started to roll down her face, wanting to erase the pain reflecting in her eyes.

But he knows it wont be easy, he can see her breaking down, fighting the battle herself from within. Wanting and Needing him.

But he knows how reluctant she can get, before she pushes him away again, he need to grab her, console her and make her understand.

Sanskar pulled her in his embrace, holding her tight, she held him back tightening her grip on him every second, her tears getting soaked in his shirt.

Sanskar caressed her hairs, pecking her head every second.

"Sanskar Please do something, I want to walk again, I cant stay like this, I dont want to be like a burden on everyone, on you, I dont. Please Sanskar ask do anything, but please I want to walk." She said and repeated the same over and over pleading him, with tears rolling down her eyes.

His heart pained hearing her words etched with pain, he closed his eyes tight feeling helpless of not able to do anything for his Swara, he prepared himself for this moment from the time doctor told him about this, on how to console her, make her understand, but now he know he underestimated the pain what he will feel seeing this.

He tried to speak, but his voice choked in between, but gathering courage, seeing her shaking and listening her pained words, he collected himself.

"Shh Swara.. Shhh you will be fine.. It is not permanent Shona, nothing is. Not even this condition of yours." He said departing himself lightly from her, such that he is able to see her face and hold it lightly.

He wiped the tears rolling down.

"You trust your Sanskar right?"

Swara nodded, "but Sanskar My legs..!!?" she questioned.

Sanskar: Shh.. Your legs will be fine. I promise that you will be able to walk on your legs soon.

He narrated what all doctor said about her condition.

Swara: But what if I never get fine?

Swara asked listening his words, she knows she can trust her Sanskar, he will do everything in order to make her fine, but it is also true that maybe she will be never be able to walk, the chances of operation success are even less than 5%, how can she believe that she will be able to walk, and nobody knows when will they be able to operate her, and till then if the chance become nil.

She knows her life is now attached with Sanskar, maybe he is more in pain than her. She can't be selfish and destroy her life along with him, thinking all this she came to a decision.
