Chapter 2

Time passes

It has been almost 2 hours from the time doctor came out, and they have shifted Swara to the Special Ward.

2 hours..!!

Only feeling of relief is that their Swara survived the battle, she won once again, but the cost she paid everyone is unaware of it.

Lying down on the hospital bed unconciouss, needles pricked in her hand attached to the IV's, many wires connected to her body showing her heart beats and other body moments, giving the only sign of being alive.

Beside her bed, sat Sanskar on a stool holding her hand in his hand, without blinking his eyes, with eyes filled with tears but dreading to shed even one, as he know his princess hates it, and he dont want to do anything that will take her away from him by any chance, he sat not speaking a word, no movements taking place in his body.

Their family stood outside the room, waiting for her to get conciouss, they are happy as she is fine and tensed when they recall what all doctor said to them few hours before.

"Swara is fine, she is stable for now." Said Doctor.

Everyone sighed in relief hearing him, a smile spread on their lips.

"But, due to the fall her spine got compressed, we just now cant say anything till she get conciouss. Lets pray for the best."

Doctor said with grim expressions, breaking the heart of the family members, while Sanskar who was till now quite, just ran towards Swara who was lying on the strecher while Ward boy was pushing it from behind, not caring or hearing anything, except for the fact she is fine now, and yes no matter what he will be beside her in every condition.

Back to present, everyone hoped that what doctor said nothing of that sort happen.

Inside the room,

Sanskar who was watching her, saw her hairs falling on the face making it tough for him to see her.

His heart constricted, he dont even want to loose her sight even for a moment now. So, finally after what felt like eternity, he forwarded his hand and removed her hairs from her face, finally left the breathe he unknowingly hold till now.

His eyes filled with love for her and guilt of not saving her from the fall when he was so near her, he cursed himself that only if he would have not left her hand then she would not have been in this condition now.

Hours rolled by,

The night turned dark, while half of the family left from the hospital leaving only Sanskar, Laksh, Shomi and Dida behind.

Suddenly Sanskar felt his hands moving and saw her fingers trying to hold his.

He felt a jolt in his body.

"Swara."

He called out for her, while she just on the other hand tried to tighten her hold on his hand, her eyes srunching and trying to open them.

"S.. ans..kar... Sav..e. M..e" she murmered in a restless voice, the scene of from before playing in her hand.

Sanskar immediately pressed the button on the side table calling out for doctor, and reached near her next second.

"You are safe Swara, See open your eyes, you are with me Princess." He said holding her cheek with one hand while other hand gripping her hand, which was till yet trying to hold his hand.

Moments later, Doctor came inside followed by a nurse.

"Mr. Maheshwari let me check her." He said trying to side Sanskar.

Sanskar nodded and tried to move back to give space to Swara, but suddenly felt her hold tighten on his hand.

"Sanskar.. san..s kar.." she murmured getting restless as if she felt him going away from her, her eyes fluttered finally opening and then she closed then back due to the sudden light striking her.

Sanskar hearing her and feeling her fear came back to her instantly slightly pushing doctor away from her, leaving doctor along with his staff in shock.

"Shh.. Jaan.. shh.. I am here, calm down. Please Calm down. You are fine.." He whispered sweet nothings in her ear trying to calm her down.

Slowly the fear started to leave her body, she calmed down.

Doctor came back to his senses, and requested Sanskar to stand by her side only understanding the trauma she must be facing.

Sanskar just nodded while he stood beside her bed holding her hand tight, when he felt her grip on his hand loosing and a pained expression formed on her face.

Doctor checked and thoroughly, checking her vitals and other necessities and trying to get her back to complete conciousness.

Soon enough, she opened her eyes again, making Sanskar to release the breathe he was holding till yet and a finally small smile etched on his face.

"Shona." he whispered and a tear roll down his eye.

"How are you feeling Mrs. Maheshwari?" Doctor asked Swara, when she finally breathed normal and looked around trying to figure out everything.

But instead of replying to the doctor her eyes came in contact with Sanskar, her heart pained seeing his condition, knowing the pain he must have suffered till now seeing her condition, a sudden guilt rising in her heart.

But seeing the small smile and tears of happiness rolling down his eyes, she felt relief and she blinked her eyes to him assuring him about herself.

"Mrs. Maheshwari" Doctor called out for her again, seeing her not responding, making her turn towards him in confusion.

"How are you feeling now?" he repeated his question, "Are you feeling any severe pain or discomfort?" he added.

"I am finw doctor, just pain in forhead and right hand." she replied.

Doctor's expression changed into confusion listening her words.

"Mr. Maheswari, we need to check her thoroughly as she just gained her concioussness for any sort of internal injury. So please will you excuse us." Doctor said turning towards Sanskar, whose expressions suddenly turned worried hearing the doctor.

"Is she fine doctor? Koi darne ki baat toh nhi hai na?" he questioned not able to bear any sort of pain anymore, it is more than enough what they have gone through till now.

Doctor: She is fine now, out of danger as she gained concioussness, but still some tests should be done immediately to know about any more injuries or complications present, so that you dont face any problems in future.

he explained and Sanskar nodded.

Sanskar: 2 minutes doctor. He said and doctor left from there to arrange for the tests.

Sanskar turned towards her and leaning near her pecked her forhead, while his tears fell down on her cheek.

Swara: Shh.. Sanskar See I am fine.

Sanskar: I was scared Swara, very scared, for a moment I thought I lost you. I ..

He couldn't complete the words and ended up crying, while Swara slowly brought up her left hand started to caress his hairs.

"Shh.. I am fine. I am here for you. You know right your Swara wont leave you this easily, so how dare you feel scared. I am here baba with you. Sorry for making you worried till now but dont worry, now I am here." She said trying to make him feel better.

He nodded tightened his hold around her, placed a kiss on side of her neck, while she closed her eyes in pure bliss.

Soon enough Doctor came back, while Sanskar started to leave the room assuring Swara, who just nodded.

As Sanskar left, Swara tried to turn towards the doctor moving her hands and legs, only to widen her eyes in shock and a sudden fear etched in her heart.
