   Ten minutes later ...

       Sanskar came inside to find Swara nervous and anxious yet she was trying to calm Lavanya . Who was crying due to the scare she had because of Shekar.

" Can we go home now princess?" he asked which brought the little girl rushing into his arms .

"Did the scary man leave? " she asked innocently , And when Sanskar answered in affirmative. She stopped crying and  went to say good bye to her friends and even parted with her chocolate as she gave it to an young boy who was crying in an effort to console him .

By the time came near for her to leave ,Lavanya happiness dimmed a little and she looked sad until Swara assured her they can visit her friends whenever they want which brightened up her mood immediately.

On the ride back home , Little Lavanya chattered up the whole way which left little or no time for swara to ask Sanskar anything regarding Shekar Gadodia ..

One of little Lavanya question stopped her short " is my room big and is it pink , My friend Bhanu  got adopted longtime ago , she came back for visits too and she told me she got an big room and it is pink in colour " the girl asked hesitantly .

Swara felt like a stranger in her mother house ,until now she didn't realize she would have her daughter with her , she was planning to share her room with her but didn't find it in her to say no to the girl .She hoped her mom husband won't mind letting Lavanya stay in their guest room for now.

As she told Lavanya about her grandparents and elaborated the guest room Lavanya will stay in. Sanskar mood dipped into an deep sadness as he learnt he was not part of her plans and he might never be .

Lavanya Maheshwari was welcomed into swara house with much love from her grandparents. One Phone call was all they had before meeting Lavanya but they didnt ask any questions on their mind just welcomed her into their house.

       Lavanya was so excited to finally have her own room , she loved eating the special things her grand mother cooked for her ,Yet she was the first person who missed him .

Swara was too happy and exhausted with finally having her daughter ,she didn't notice Sanskar absence , It was her daughter who asked her about Sanskar that made swara search him .

Swara asked her mom and her husband ,and when they both didn't know , she went outside to see his car was missing . She couldn't understand why he left without telling her.

Lavanya began to cry when she realized Sanskar was not in the house . The little girl believed he left her  because she didnt play with him and it broke her tiny heart , Her sobs made Swara frantic that she called Sanskar immediately.

      "Where are you Sanskar Lavanya is crying here thinking you left her ." Was the first sentence that greeted Sanskar ,he didn't expect it from lavanya.

      He had met lavanya only twice and spent barely ten minutes with her,  He didnt think she would miss him .

     Swara plans didn't include him ,he got it clear with in ten minutes in that house. After her mom heartfelt thanks to him they all got busy with welcoming Lavanya ,and he was unsure about his place in the house so he left , he knew as he drove back to her house swara called him only because of Lavanya .

The little girl rushed into his arms with her tear strained face . He had to calm her down by lying he went to buy her an gift . The word gift seemed to have worked its magic as she unwrapped the mermaid  barbie doll he brought her .Swara dragged him into her room to have an talk .

" How can you leave without saying an word Sanskar, Do you know how worried Lavanya was .." Swara lashed out .

" I thought leaving when she didn't notice would be easy , I didn't mean to make her upset .You could have explained to her right .That her family involves only you and her grand parents not me " he answered back frustrated at himself for caring and frustrated at her for not caring .

" If you felt that way , Why did you adopt her and call her your little princess .For Lavanya who never had an family's.What you did was cruel " Swara replied back apparently hurt by his cold words .

" It not how I feel , it is how you feel , not once did you mention me in your future plans to Lavanya .So don't blame me for any of it .I  loved  Lavanya from the moment I laid eyes on her but what i feel doesnt   matter ,you are her mother , so tell me how should i behave around lavanya even now I am willing to play any role you allow in Lavanya life but you need to write an contract and let me know what I can or can't do .." With that parting shot he left swara in her room alone in her thoughts.

Sanskar didn't mean to lash out at swara ,neither did he mean to love both of them . As he went back to the living room , Lavanya rushed to greet him and he relaxed atleast one of them loves him back .

Swara didn't know how long she stayed in the room .It was her mom husband who knocked at her door .

" What happened beta?" He always called her that but swara never considered about how he really felt about her.

" Do you think of me as your daughter " she asked momentarily shocking him .But his answer wasn't hesitant it was an clear yes from him .

" But why. I never treated you like one .I always made you feel like an stranger.So how could you ?" She asked

" Do you know why I got divorced the first time,  We couldnt have kids on our own .And it was my inability ,so I left my wife hoping she can marry again and find happiness .She did marry again and have three grown up kids now.

But I remained single and alone half of my life , So when I met your mother again. Not only I wish I met her years ago .I wish I gotten around to be an real father to you when you really needed .I know you don't need a father figure in your life any longer .

But Lavanya does  , And your husband seem to love her , so what are you gonna do ,is that why you are here ? " he asked and for the first time swara felt ashamed of being so cold towards him .

            " What should I do. I don't feel ready ?" She asked clearly confused

             " Don't run away from him ,Give him an chance because if you didn't  you might regret it later but  remember you will always have an place in this house as my daughter so will Lavanya." having said that he left swara alone .

                Swara rushed out to apologize for hurting him but was disappointed to know he left already .On asking her mom she found out he had explained to Lavanya he will come tomorrow before she wakes up and even tucked her in bed before leaving 

                   She wanted to call him and apologize but she didn't know what to say or how to explain she didnt mean to make him feel unwelcome .She remembered how many times he ran after her when she left, and swara decided it was time to let him in even if she was scared.

                       Sanskar looked lost in the room, he carefully planned for Lavanya in his house.. The room walls were painted pink and he even ordered an tiny princess bed just for her. He spent days making this room ready for her, even before he met her. He wanted her to have an comfortable room when he found her.But not even once did he imagine she wont ever stay in it .

                  When his search began he hit so many dead ends that he almost lost hope then came Laksh visit , Sanskar wanted to ask his help but he seemed troubled and on futher enquiry he learnt laksh was finally trying to have an grasp of his father financial expenditures. 

               When he asked what troubled him, he explained that there was an steady flow of cash to an orphanage every single month till he died.  And both Laksh and Sanskar know Durga prasad Maheshwari is not an charitable soul. Laksh was worried if he had an sibling he wasnt made aware of as his father infidelity was an wide known fact in the family.

                  That when Sanskar finally had his first clue.. He asked how many years his uncle was paying and it matched with Swara daughter age.. So he told Laksh about it who seemed upset that his father played a role in Swara seperation with her daughter. Sanskar asked Laksh to check into every correspondense that was ever made between his uncle and that orphanage.

        The next day Sanskar left for the orphanage under the guise of adopting an daughter, he was disappointed when the girl swara showed in her picture was not one of them. If she was adopted there was no legal way for Swara to get back her daughter. So he insisted to see if there was anyone left but the orphanage owner denied it . But Sanskar was thankful for the warden who was in charge of the kids who said there is one another girl in the orphanage.

              When Sanskar marched in and demanded to see the girl, she had no option but to comply.. Sanskar couldnt understand the reason why she was not brought in with the rest.After threatning a bit with law suit the orphanage confessed.Lavanya was never brought in because she had an anonymous donor who promised to pay till she got adopted . 

            Sanskar heart broke at the selfishness of the orphanage owner which denied Lavanya an chance her fellow friends were offered. He knew they needed money but to deprieve a child of an home for it didnt seem charitable, Yet he was glad that Swara can have her daughter back.

      He only spent 15 minutes with her. But he knew the rejection for 6 long years had gotten to her. She didnt believe she will be adopted even after Sanskar promised her. And when he was about to leave she cried till Sanskar promised to come back soon

     Those fifteen minutes had made him fall in love with her and now even though she was his daughter legally. He was not part of her life. It hurt a lot but before he could fall into despair there was an insistent knock on his main door.

                    He closed the door to Lavanya room and went to see who visited him in the middle of the night and was surprised to find Swara standing in the other side.. " I am so sorry " was her first sentence of greeting followed by more apologizes once she entered the house.And he understood she felt guilty of hurting his feelings but what he didnt like was the first time she came to his house for protection,the second time because she felt pity and now guilt.

              "Sorry I was rude to you earlier Swara, My intention was not to make you feel guilty.You didnt have to come her in the middle of the night because you thought i was hurt.." He answered back ..

           " That not why i came." she said hesistantly.Because even she didnt know her reasons, just she didnt want him angry at her 

          " Then why Swara?" He asked.

            " I dont know Sanskar,  I dont want to lose you in my life.. And when you left today without an word to me , i was worried that i lost you .." she answered back..

            " You left Swara, You were the one who said that you didnt want to be part of my life." he spoke up any other day Sanskar would have smiled and let her leave after apology but today for his heart sake he need to know where he stood.

             " I am scared Sanskar.. I left not because i didnt want to be part of your life , Because i really wanted too.. " She spoke up letting him in her deepest fears. And Sanskar understood how much courage it must have took for her to speak up and he didnt want his fears stand in the way either

           " Okay Sorry, I didnt mean to make you feel bad.FIne how is lavanya.. Why did you leave her alone" He asked trying to change the topic for now her admission should be enough he didnt want to push her further and make her scared.

           " Mom said she will keep an eye on her till i return back " she answered back .

         " And Sanskar i was meaning to ask What did Siddharth dad said." she asked the question that was bothering her.

         " He didnt say anything but i had lot to say and he must been shocked by it for now" he said vaguely at Swara confused glance he explaine further..

    "  Shekar Gadodia realized he had been a Puppet in the hands of my Uncle for this long , Swara it is a long story .Why dont i tell you later ,for now you relax . Even if he wanted to he cant come near Lavanya anymore. She is legally yours.I will drop you off at home first. " He said and he knew he was bidding his time to tell her about Shekhar.But he needed his time to tell her about his uncle betrayal. 

         Meanawhile Shekahr Gadodia stared at his daughter Ragini. He never even raised his voice against her since she was born.She was always his favourite .As his wife died giving birth to her.But for once he was angry at his daughter.

           " Why did you lie Ragini?" he asked. At her confused expression he elaborated " About Swara in court ?" he persisted and that when Ragini realized what she thought his father knew all along was something he was not even aware of. And she realized how much of an mistake she made in assuming his father wanted her to testify against Swara back then, If only she asked him instead..

              As she told her father everything Shekar Gadodia realized how much of an puppet he was in the hands of his one trusted friend Durga Prasad Maheswari and he realized how he sent his own grand daughter to live like an pauper and it was enough of an shock to give him an heart attack. As Shekar Gadodia was rushed into hospital ,his thoughts kept going back to the moment his grand daughter ran away from him and Sanskar voice stating that " He should never come near his daughter "..
