Chapter 4: The Journey
She drops onto her seat and shivers, freezing for a moment as Sanskaar aimed the gun at the men. Ready to interrogate his way.
"Why are you here?" He questioned, staring at the men with anger.
"To kill you."
"Who sent you?"
"Bhai." The man in the front utters, fearlessly staring at Sanskaar with anger glimpsing from his eyes.
Sanskaar releases a scoff "That dog sent you to kill me?"
The men clench their fists, angry to hear their boss's insult.
"There's only one Bhai in this game and that is Bhao!" Sanskaar adds in a deadly warning tone, staring at the men.
"He's the dog in this game."
"Eyy!" Sanskaar angrily roars, forming his grip on the gun and the men startle, expect one.
"If you love your life then you better run otherwise my hands won't tremble while pulling the trigger." Sanskaar adds, moving his index finger towards the trigger.
The men behind the one who abused Bhao start running to save their lives while he, stood there boldly glaring at Sanskaar.
"Why are you still here?"
"I don't care if I die, I must kill you and that's why I was sent here." He replies, willing to sacrifice his life to act upon his boss's order.
"I won't kill you here, you're coming with me." Sanskaar pronounces before punching the guy in the nose.
The guy stumbles and slowly looses focus, blood drips down his nose and Sanskaar pushes him as he falls back on the seat. Sanskaar takes a seat besides him and turns his head towards Swara, who was traumatised by this incident.
A smirk plays on Sanskaar's lips and Gosh Kaka takes a seat on his seat. Swara slowly moves her gazes towards Sanskaar and the guy, distressed as the incident flashes in her mind.
'What did you do Swara? Who told you to act big? What if the bullet hit someone? The guilt of that would've ate you alive and you know that, why be so stupid Swara why?' She curses herself in her mind, regretting the moment she touched the gun.
She felt shivers run down her mind each time she recollected the minute of her embarrassment, she never felt so anxious before, today had even drowned her socialising skills, she doesn't feel like talking to anyone.
Her gazes move to the broken window and the sound of it cracking repeats in her mind, causing her to feel a lump down her throat, each time she swallowed, smiling was becoming hard for her, it felt like she was in courtroom, being convicted for something she didn't know was illegal.
The people on the bus turn towards Swara, staring at her and making her feel uncomfortable, Swara senses them and inhales a deep breath.
"W. . ." She couldn't feel her voice and inhaled a courageous deep breath, exhaling it bit by bit "What?" She managed to ask in a stern tone, keeping her expressions serious and firm, not wanting them to get a glimpse of how terrified she was within.
Everyone thought for a while and without making it more awkward, they begin to clap. Sanskaar gazes around, rolling his eyes at the applauds Swara was receiving, Swara was herself surprised by this sudden movement. She had thought they would curse her for nearly ending their lives with her over-smartness.
"Well done Beta, if you didn't show that bravery then all of us would've been in the hospital or even, out of this world. . . You did the right job by snatching the gun out of his hand." Kosh Kaka utters, praising Swara for showing her bravery as he knew the bullets from the gun would've ended someone else's life before it touched Sanskaar.
"I must say, you were very courageous. We wouldn't have done what you did." One of the bus passenger utters, impressed by Swara.
Swara sighs a small relief, curving a small smile on her lips, relieved to know no one blames her for doing that.
The guy wipes his blood which was leaking from his nose, seeing his vision being unclear. The passengers on the bus stop clapping, now minding their own business, Sanskaar turns his gazes towards the guy.
"What's your name?" He asks, "R. . . Raka." The guy replies, straight after pinches his nose and tilts his head back, to stop the blood from dripping out.
Sanskaar reaches out for his bag and pulls out a tiffin, he knew his mother Annapurna stuffed it in his bag. His stubbornness had gave up in front of his hunger, which was now unbearable so therefore, he lifted the lid and allowed the aroma spread across the bus.
Upon smelling the aroma, few eyes shifted to Sanskaar, from which one pair were Swara's. She instantly looked away, not being interested and closes her eyes to avoid looking at Sanskaar.
Sanskaar lifts his gazes and the other pair of eyes instantly glance away, minding their own business. Raka, the guy was lucky he couldn't smell the aroma as his nose was closed to stop the bleeding.
"What's the time?" Sanskaar asks, hoping Gosh Kaka would reply and he did, Gosh Kaka had replied with "2 minutes left till 8pm."
Sanskaar nodded, estimating the time of arrival "So, 8pm to 8am will be 12 hours, then 8am to 8pm would be 12 hours and 12 plus 12 is 24. Plus 30, so we will arrive Hyderabad at 8:30pm."
Swara opened her eyes, staring at Sanskaar in shock while the passengers, including Gosh Kaka were impressed by his maths skills.
"Yes, you're right." Gosh Kaka utters, nodding his head positively.
"What? So that means I have to tolerate you for 24 hours?" Swara shockingly gasps, blinking at Sanskaar, who diverts his eyes towards her.
"Who's telling you to tolerate me? You can simply ignore." He harshly responds.
"What made you think I'll give importance to you? I'm on about your annoying voice that troubles everyone here!" Swara answers back, not willing to take any of his disses.
"If you have a big problem then you can simply wear your earphones and listen to whatever you want."
"You. . ."
"Uh. . . Beta, Bhai. . . The, passengers would like to take rest. . . Please. . ." Gosh Kaka interrupted Swara but stopped as soon as Sanskaar looked at him, he gulped, hoping he had not upset Sanskaar.
"You don't need to request Kaka. You should just order us, this bus isn't owned by anyone's father." Swara uttered, staring at Sanskaar as she directed that taunt to him, which he understood.
He manages to control his urge to answer her back, as Gosh Kaka had respectfully laid his talk, giving him respect which in return Sanskaar had to give by silencing himself.
Swara closed her eyes, resting her head on her seat as she relaxed herself. Sanskaar started to eat the food from the tiffin before the taste could go bitter whereas the passengers had made themselves comfortable, so they could have a peaceful sleep with no more disturbance and Raka let go of his nose after successfully stopping the blood.
**
The sun rises and shines through the glass, laying its rays on Swara and some other faces that slept near the window. She wakes up and slowly opens her tired eyes, which were not willing to open at all. A yawn leaves her mouth and she glances around, trying to keep her tired eyes alive, she realises the bus has stopped and sits up, checking if the passengers were still in their seats and lucky for her, they were. Her eyes fall on Gosh Kaka, who walks inside the bus.
She places her hand on the seat besides her to lean on but she feels cold and brings her hand close to her, turning her head that way instead. She sees Raka sleeping and Sanskaar was missing.
"Oh god, protect us." She hears Gosh Kaka pray with the depth of his heart, confused to see him a little worried.
"Gosh Kaka. . ." She yawns, leaving her words incomplete, after yawning and clearing her throat, she sets off again to complete what she trialled off. "What happened, why are you so tensed?"
"What should I say Beta. . . This stop was meant to come in 5 hours but Bhai. . . He made us arrive here in 3 hours." Swara creases her eyebrows, not understanding what Gosh Kaka was saying.
"What do you mean?" She questioned, wanting to understand what was happening.
Gosh Kaka helplessly sighed as he starts telling her.
After everyone were asleep and Sanskaar finished his food, he waited for a bit. Seeing Raka asleep, he stands up and walks towards the driver. Gosh Kaka wasn't really asleep, he had just closed his eyes to take rest for a bit.
"Drive fast." Sanskaar ordered, shocking the driver.
"But Bhai, the capacity of the bus. . ."
"I don't care, I want you to drive fast now."
Gosh Kaka opened his eyes after hearing Sanskaar, he stood up and walked towards him.
"What's happening?"
"Gosh Kaka, I want the bus to go fast."
Gosh Kaka was shocked to hear that, "But Beta. . ."
"Are you saying no to me?" Sanskaar questioned before Gosh Kaka could complete.
Gosh Kaka shakes his head negatively. "Then why isn't the bus going fast?"
Gosh Kaka and the driver were helpless, they indeed love their life and would always want to stay out of trouble so they agreed. The driver began to increase the speed of the bus and Gosh Kaka began to pray for everyone's safety.
"What? Why didn't you slap him?" Swara shockingly remarks, feeling angry on Sanskaar's behaviour.
"How could I raise my hand on him? It wouldn't have suited me." Gosh Kaka utters in displeasure, knowing he could never be angry on Sanskaar. Not because he's in an powerful position but because he sees him as a son.
"What does he think of himself? He can't do that, what if something happened to us? He can't always have it his way." Swara huffs, clenching her fists as she stands up, wanting to face Sanskaar.
"No Beta, calm down. At least this saves you from extra journey, now instead of 7, you've got 5 hours left till you reach your destination." Gosh Kaka explained, showing her the brighter side in order to calm her.
"But still Kaka, how can he do what he wills? This isn't his Dad's bus and neither he owns it so with what rights is he ordering?" Swara questions, coming out from her seat and walking towards the exit as her eyes searched for him.
He climbed onto the bus and she stopped before her chest could collide into his. He glanced down at her and she glared up at him.
"What is your problem? Why are you. . ." She stops, feeling a heavy metal slam against the back of her head and she blinked at Sanskaar, who brought his hand back to himself after hitting Swara on the head with the gun.
Her vision soon blurs out and she closes her eyes, falling onto Sanskaar's chest. He sighed, sliding the gun down his back and holds onto Swara's arms, pulling her away from his chest, staring at her "You look so good when you're quiet." He utters, picking her up in his arms.
He looks at the shocked passengers, who pretend to sleep again and shakes his head in disbelief, walking forward with her and Gosh Kaka gasped, realising what he had just witnessed.
**
Swara opens her eyes, touching her head as her vision slowly starts to clear. She closes her eyes again, grunting as she sits up, realising what had happened.
"That idiot! How dare he!" She angrily whispers, glancing around, only to find everyone gone.
Gosh Kaka had entered the bus to check up on her and he was glad as well as relieved to see her awake.
"Beta, thank god you're awake. I was about to take you to the hospital. It had been 5 hours since you were unconscious."
She was surprised, she couldn't believe she spent 5 hours in an unconscious state.
"Have we reached?" She asked and Gosh Kaka shook his head positively.
"And did JB stop here too?"
"JB?"
"Jungly Billa. . . Sanskaar?" Gosh Kaka yet again, shook his head positively and she sighed in anger.
"He's so dead if I see him, I won't leave him for what he did!" She added her dismay, with the form of anger as she stood up.
She leans forward and grabs onto her bags, facing Gosh Kaka again. "Thank you so much."
Gosh Kaka smiled, blessing her from his heart as she started to head out.
'God, please protect this child and please keep her away from Sanskaar or chaos will come.' Gosh Kaka prays in his mind and closes his eyes, really wanting his prayer to be accepted. Little does he know what destiny has in store for the two.

Swara was new on the roads of Hyderabad, she wasn't even sure where she was headed towards.
"Where am I going to stay? I don't even know anyone here." She mumbles, starting to worry as this thought popped in her mind.
Unknown to the fact that a lorry was headed her way, she continued walking on the roads. Before the lorry could touch her and crush her bones into pieces, a push on the side alerted her of a danger and she stumbled, yet balancing herself.
"Are you mad? If you're so fond of dying then please go die somewhere else! Not on the streets of Hyderabad!" An annoyed tone charged at her and she turned towards her saviour.
"Sorry. . . I didn't see the lorry coming." She innocently apologises, lowering her gazes.
"Are you new here?" He asked and Swara nodded positively.
"Do you have anywhere to stay?" He asks again, vanishing his anger and she nodded, this time negatively.
"Hmm. . . You ran away from home?" He asks again and she nodded positively, lifting her gazes while looking at him.
"Come with me." He adds and she blinks at him, feeling hesitant to trust him.
"But. . ."
"If you want, you can stay here." He interrupts and turns, starting to walk away.
Swara swallows her spit, not wanting to be left alone but she also couldn't trust him. She presses her lips together, thinking hard and finally, she trusted her instincts, deciding to go with him.
"Wait, I'll come." He turns and she starts walking towards him.
He turns back around, leading the way to his car.
*
The car enters a colony and Swara looks on. She sees a bunch of people wondering around and feels like she's about to enter a homely environment.
"You live here?" She questions as she turns towards him and he shakes his head positively.
"Wow." She shockingly expresses, confusing him.
"What do you mean by wow?"
"Expensive suit. . . Expensive car and such a middle class place to live in. . . Is the suit and car on rent?" She wondered, making him chuckle.
"Let's just say mansion's are only to show off. I like living with my people, right here. . . Where it feels like home." He replied, impressing her with his words.
In a fraction of seconds, a face smashes against Swara's side of the window, making a loud noise and she jerked, turning to the side. Her eyes widen as she watches the face pulling away.
"Him?"
"You know him?" He asks and she turns her head toward him. "Yes, I met him on the bus. He came to attack JB."
"JB?"
"Yeah. His name was. . . Uhhh. . ."
"What's your name?"
"Raka."
She finally remembers the name after giving her brain a lot of pressure. "Raka. His name is Raka." She reveals and the car stops.
Swara steps out and so does he, she closes the door and sees Raka bleeding and laying on the floor, gasping for oxygen.
