Ragini Gadodia scratch that Ragini Maheshwari locked herself up in her room. She was furious with her husband and hoped he would have the sense to spend the entire night away from their room. Because her emotions were running high and she might say something and regret it later, she already had a tough day where everyone fawned over Swara much to her mother displeasure and most of all it hurt to see her husband singing praises of Swara when he barely complimented her ,she was yet again a shadow to her cousin .

She hated herself at this moment where she couldnt control her emotions , she was always jealous of Swara a fact she would never admit to anyone other than herself in the locked room because she knew her cousin was all that is good and to feel jealous of her made her feel miserable . So she had denied her feelings regarding her cousin but today she couldnt get her mom parting words out of her mind.

" Step it up Ragini , or your cousin will hold your husband and his family in the palm of her hands " her mother words made her flinch because of the blatant hatred behind those words, her mom never liked Swara or Pari and yet she always belittled Ragini by comparing her with them.

Her mom always taught her how to be perfect and Ragini was perfect or at least she made sure everyone sees her as anything but perfect.She sacrificed too much for it to have it otherwise. She lived all her life under an iron rule of her mother. Her father loved her she can sense it but he never cared about what her daughter would actually want to do, he respects and trust his wife decisions but not her daughter opinions to him she will always be a little girl .

Ragini always knew Swara loves her and hence she tried so hard not to be jealous of her but no matter how hard she tried she couldnt help but be jealous of Swara ,so she did the next best thing tried so hard to never show it , Her jealousy stemmed from thee fact ragini spent all her life listening to her mother and following all her dictates, so that she can have her approval but Swara had it without even trying , every single thing her mom forced her to learn . Swara had been better at it ,be it Singing ,cooking and the countless lessons her mother forced her to learn. It didnt help that Swara was good academically as well that her father would wear his proud smile everytime his sister showed him the report cards that ragini feared to show him , her report card as being in the top ten is not equal to being first.

Add to it ,Ragini was jealous of her cousins parents who never expected much from their daughters but It was so hard to please her Mom, everything she does always never satisfies her and Swara just have to simply smile and Sharmistha aunty would be over the moon with happiness . She envied the bond Pari didi ,Swara and Sharmistha aunty shared whenever she visited them . Every time they tried to make her comfortable too .But somehow she couldnt fit in there family. Maybe it was because she always know it was not her family. Still she enjoyed living with them .

Ragini knew Swara or pari didi didnt like Sharmistha aunt demands just like how ragini hated her mother demands but the difference which they never guessed was what they might not like Sharmistha aunty demands but they knew their mother loved them , a fact Ragini couldnt believe when it comes to her mother . She never actually complained about anything in her life or was too scared to complain after the one incident.

She wanted to go on the trip so much that for the first time when she was 8 ,she begged ,pleaded and cried anything to convince her Mom still it was a Big No .For the first time she hated her Mom and knew that right now Swara would be planning for her trip as there parents always say yes to anything she asks if it didnt raise any objection from her dad, they buy her anything she wants too. She wanted to somehow become part of that family and never come back, she ran away from home well atleast that what she thought she was doing as she walked to her aunt house .

And saw Swara and Pari didi laughing with their parents as they talked loudly about the trip that ragini couldnt quite hold back the tears, the moment Sharmistha aunty noted her lurking in the house, she rushed to embrace Ragini and somehow ragini fooled herself to believe that she could stay there forever. But that day she realized that was not possible, once she calmed down, she saw sharmistha aunty signalling Shekhar uncle to let her parents know then mom and Dad came and took her back to her prison or home . Well sharmistha aunty tried talking for her and she loved her for it but nothing works with her mother . Soon she was facing her punishment for complaining about her family to someone , something Her Mom was not happy about, punishment being shipped off to her maternal grandparents house well if her Mom was strict her grandparents were lot more strict .From that Day She never complained or cried or was upset in front of others.

She viewed marriage as her freedom ticket. And she waited for that day ever since she graduated. She started working in her father company and liked it still her dream of getting married to an white knight never left. Then she met her white knight dressed in black , she was shopping when she collided against him by accident and then she apologized and ran away that was the first time she saw him but not the last , the next time she went to a party to celebrate her mother best friend birthday, and she saw him in the party .

Towards the end of the party ,she learnt about his father death. He looked sad and lost that she felt her eyes flickering towards him often and found out that his eyes remained focussed on her as well . And by string of fate ,she collided into him again when she was on her way to search her mother and instead of just running away like last time,she offered him condolences for his loss . His eyes widened in surprise and yet he didn't say anything in return.

She hoped it was the end of it but the next time ,they met he told her that he loved her and wanted to marry her and he was persistent in spite of all her No, and she slowly started liking him too, he would surprise her with Flowers she never took but still there he was everyday with different flowers. He would bring movie tickets and ask her to join him even with the knowledge she would refuse it point blank , give her chocolates, teddy bears everything and anything for almost two months which always went unreceived .

His constant actions soon melted her and she fell in love with him .She told him to that her parents wouldn't agree and he promised to make them agree and soon enough an offer for alliance came from his mother through a mutual friend but even then Swara came in the way once again but she still tried to not get angry at her after all she knows it not her fault that her father wanted Swara to get married before his daughter .

But some miracle His father was convinced after Swara told him No , well he told her it was because he realized that is an good alliance to reject and she was over the moon. Not only that , that night her father told her that he agreed because he heard great thing about him and he will keep her happy .

Her happiness has no bound. The Next day she met him and this time she took those flowers, chocolates and teddy bear with an smile and even went to the movie with him and had an most romantic dinner where he proposed to her officially and she accepted . That had to be the best day of her life or so she thought till she reached home.

She faced her father who looked pretty serious, at first he blasted at her for hiding that she fell in love with Lucky and played the whole family by lying to them about it. She told him the truth and he seemed to believe her but the next line made her feel like the world was lost, He said this marriage wont happen, it felt like someone giving you freedom and snatching it away in seconds ,she wondered why when she learnt there was a mix up they thought the offer was for Sanskar is cousin not Lakshya.

Her father agreed to it since he was the eldest and the offer must be for him . Ragini loved Lakshya , But her parents refused to listen to her and she did the one think she wanted to do to end this torture . That night it was by accident Swara came for a visit ,they usually didn't keep the formality of knocking the door so her cousin had been surprised to see her unconscious after consuming the sleeping pills.

Swara tried to wake her up and made her vomit by making her drink something that was horrible than she drove her to the hospital because her parents were away for a party when they just broke their daughter heart . Swara stayed by her side throughout the night and even kept the news from her parents when the doctors declared her safe .

Ragini begged Swara to not tell her parents ,and she reluctantly agreed because she was worried about her and made it her mission to be by her side for the next two days and left only after ragini assured her that she won't do anything foolish . It had taken Sanskar visit to her house to finally convince her dad not because he liked laksh but he liked the partnership with the Maheshwari group.

Everything was perfect in her life or so she thought after her father approval. Then Lakshya refused to marry her ,Mom end up offering Swara as bride, and within seconds she was begging Swara again this time to get married or else her perfect life would crash.

Everything she dreamed out was falling out of place , Her perfect life was not anywhere to be seen , laksh had been angry because she didn't remember Sanskar dislike for kheer ,she was upset because laksh praised only Swara through the night and she wanted the long day to be over after her mother departure.

So she wasnt prepared to learn from her husband that he had postponed their honeymoon trip because he wanted them to play Cupid's for Swara and Sanskar ,that had been the last straw that she asked him to leave before she said something she regret and it had been an hour since he left and Ragini began to fear she may have alienated her husband by her actions .

So the knock to the door made her rush to the door ,and seeing her Husband face the despair she felt went away .She loved him so even if he isnt the perfect guy ,she will still love him that what she said to herself throughout the night trying to find reasons for his actions

When she opened the door ,she hadnt been prepared to see her white knight holding hundred white Roses and smiling at her. He said something about this being his way of apologizing for not asking her about it before but rather making the decision on his own.

Then he held out a small gift box that carried a pair of gold bangles, and her heart flicker with happiness when he mentioned it was his gift because she cooked his favorite dish in the morning . Her husband may have not praised her before other but his gestures moved her nevertheless . Then he said sorry for hurting her which shed the last bit of resistance away as she rushed to embrace him who literally swiped her off her feet .And she found life to be perfect after all .
