Chapter5- Second Chance!!

She lay down tired, while sharmishta caressed her hair's," shall I massage your hairs?", She asked and ragini nodded. Sharmishta smiled getting up and bring oil sitting on bed while ragini sits on floor, sharmishta starts massaging her hairs while ragini closed her eyes feeling all of her tiredness blowing away and a satisfactory smiled appears on her lips,"Maa, you have some magic", she told and sharmishta smiled shaking her head, "it's love not magic", she told and she smiled more. Her phone beeped making her open her eyes. "Maa, my phone", ragini utters. "I have oil in my hands", sharmishta said while ragini gets up and took her phone from dresser. She smiled as she sits back on floor while sharmishta continuous oiling her hairs," who is it?', sharmishta asked even though she knows the answer.

"It's sanskar asking me about my first day", ragini replied with a small smile as she replied him back. Sharmishta nodded smiling, her and sanskar marriage was also one of her worries. Well, to be honest at first she thought that they will not be able to accept each other but, after seeing their constant support for each other and trying to sooth each other's pain lit Hope's in everyone's heart except Parvati who is still against the idea of sending ragini to Maheshwari as sanskar wife but, one day or other she needs to take her place in his life as well as Maheshwari's being their daughter-in-law. But, what she fears was that her both daughters need to see each other daily even after their relationship is already damaged. She knows that swara and Laksh apologized to her but, she feel it wasn't from their heart and it's the same she told to ragini. She just wished none of her daughter take the path which leads them destructing their own life. Her thoughts were disturbed by the laughter sound of ragini.

"Ragu?", She utters amused as well happy seeing her laughing whole heatedly. "Maa...Maa sanskar fell down from stairs", Ragini says laughingly while sharmishta widen her eyes in shock," What? Where? Is he hurt?", She asked concerned while ragini shakes her head. "He told he was dreaming about eating cookies and pastries from our bakery and didn't know when he got tripped and hurt himself", Ragini told smilingly while sharmishta shakes her in disbelief smacking her head a little, "Ragu....He could be hurt. Atleast, ask your husband how is he?", Sharmishta utters without realizing. Ragini's smiled vanished hearing her. Sharmishta who senses her sudden silence understands as she inhaled a sharp breath ," Ragini, sit here", sharmishta says patting the side of bed. Ragini gets up and sits still bending her head and going on with own turmoil. "I know beta it's not easy to see him as your husband but, the truth is you and sanskar are married", sharmishta utters holding ragini hand while her eyes glistened with tears. "But, it doesn't hold any importance in both of our life's maa. It was Unwanted", she utters as tears rolled down her cheeks while sharmishta cups her cheeks wiping her tears, "Even if it was Unwanted, you both marries each other with all of your heart, didn't you? You thought it to be laksh and he thought it to be swara and you both took the oaths willingly and with your heart. Even if it wasn't the person you thought but, the oaths was true and pure", sharmishta said while ragini shut her eyes painfully, "that's what I am saying maa, we aren't destined to marry", she utters painfully. "You were. It was Unwanted Destiny for you both but, it was fated to happen. I am not telling you to accept it and move on but, I am telling you to think about as well as I don't want to see your suffer and also no one can understand you as much as sanskar. You both don't need to pretend or to be something in this relationship because you both Respect each other and understand in which state you both are and can give each other their own space. I know whenever you think sanskar as your husband it hurts you baccha because you never imagined him in that place but, now you can if not as a husband but, as your best friend with a tag of your husband. You can atleast do that and if not then me and shehkar will support you in whatever decision you take even if you want divorce from him we'll be with you" , she made ragini looked at her wiping her tears as she kept her head on her chest patting her while tears flows from her eyes as well, "Don't think I am telling you because you are here or any other negative thought. It's just that I don't want my one daughter to suffer when other is happy, hmm", she told while ragini nodded crying in her embrace. Her phone rings as she looked at the caller ID, "Sanskar", named flashed. She cuts the call clutching the phone tightly in her hand.

"What's wrong?", Sanskar mutters as he didn't get any reply from her. He sighs shaking his head as he tried to get up but, winced holding his back,"Ouch! ", He muttered as he fall back on bed. His mind travelled back to the memory which he was trying hard not to think.

Knock knock!

"Come in", he said coming out of his thoughts. "Sanskar!", He gets up seeing Durga Prasad standing. "Bade papa!", He utters amused as dp walks in and gestured him to sit, he nodded as they both sits on chair opposite to each other. "I am here to talk about something important", dp said with his usual serious tone while sanskar nodded avoiding the uneasy feeling he is having in his heart. "It's about you and ragini" , dp utters making his heart skip a beat as he interwined his both hands and nodded gulping. He knows he can't avoid this conversation anymore. "She is you...", Dp was cut off by sanskar, "My WIFE, I know bade papa and I am not denying the fact but, you all need to consider the truth that it happened unexpectedly known of us both knows that we'll marry each other. So, our marriage is Null and has no meaning", sanskar utters in a serious tone while Dp sighs, "Or, maybe it has", dp utters making sanskar looks at him with quizzical expression.

"Look sanskar it's not about you alone it's about ragini as well. I know whatever swara and Laksh did is unforgivable but, you agree or not the truth won't change that now she is your WIFE", dp utters sternly while sanskar tightly holds his both hands clutching onto each other to control the anger rising inside his body. "You need to think about the society", he was abruptly cut off by sanskar who stood up," Society? Who the hell cares for them?", He shouts loosing his cool as he inhaled a sharp breath, " I am sorry bade papa but, I don't care about anyone of your hypocritical society. I just care for ragini and myself and no one else. Only, we both knows our inner turmoil and no one other. Not even you. So, please don't talk about all this with me", he uttered folding his palm infront of dp who looks at Sanskar.

"Deendayal ji called me", sanskar looks at him. "He told me Parvati ji finding groom for ragini", his heartbeat stopped for a moment and he looked on dazed. "He told me to take ragini back in Maheshwari Mansion before Parvati ji marries her off with someone even after having her own husband", Dp tolds as he took a deep breath. "I know you and ragini both need time and I am ready to give you both that but, do you think other's will give? Do you know once Parvati ji starts showing her alliance's what will happen?  Once people will know that she is married and still searching for groom, do you know what they'll call her? Do you think ragini will be able to bear of all those criticism? ", He pinched the bridge of his nose frustrated not being able get anything as he paces in room. "And, do you think sujata will stop herself from marrying you again even if you don't accept ragini as your wife? Do you think any other girl except ragini is capable of entering your life ? Do you think anyone else will understand your pain other then her? Do you think someone else will give you time to heal other then her? You and ragini can be each other's shoulders sanskar and no one else. You both can only bring your life's on track and if someone else come up then it'll be nothing but more mess and pain", dp says as he stands walking towards him and kept his hand on his shoulder while sanskar looks at him with mixed emotions," it's not easy but, it's not impossible too. Just think about you both without anything else and decide what's best for you. I'll support you in whatever decision you take. I know I wasn't always there as my children's mentor and guide them right path but, after what you and Laksh choose once I don't want to regret further. Consider me as your friend which can show you path, okay?", Dp asked with moisty eyes while Sanskar nodded as tear rolled down his eyes as he hugged dp and cries.

"Think about it", dp utters as sanskar wipes his tears and nodded. Dp smiled slightly patting his cheeks while he smiled weakly. He left the cabin while he goes and sits on chair holding his head with his both hands. His words continuously ringed in his ears, "Does Ragini know?", He thought and shook his head, "Of course not, she would never agree once she knows about Dadi", he muttered as he joined his palm resting beneath his chin as he stared at particular direction and sighs as his eyes turned moisty. He felt turmoil going inside his mind and heart, " I need fresh air", he utters grabbing the car keys from table and moves out, while going out he bumps into laksh. He was about to ask sorry when, "Slowly Bhai, what if you fall and hurt yourself?", Laksh utters with a loopsided smile. He clench his fist and grits his teeth glaring him. Messing up their lives how can he smile? He wanted to punch him but, ignored and walks away fuming and frustrated. He pressed the life button frustrated, he growls as he punched the wall and choose stairs walking down impatiently as his mind burst with numerous question and he didn't realized when he got tripped and fall down hurting his back.

He shook his head remembering, he opens the drawer and takes out balm, "choray", sujata barged inside his room making him startled. "Mom", sanskar shreiks startled keeping his hand on his chest. "Can't you knock before coming", he told as he release a sigh while sujata rolls her eyes, "Do I need permission before entering my own son's room?", She asked while he shook his head, "It's called manners, mom", he told while she widen her eyes, "Now you'll teach your mother manners.... Yeh din dekhne se pehle Mai mar kyun nahi hai?", She utters dramatically as her eyes moistened while he facepalm himself," it's nothing mom. I am sorry. Tell me why are you here?", He asked as he tried to rest his back but, winced. "Now I also need reason to come to your room", she asked folding her arms while sanskar mentally banged his head. "Forget it.... Just forget it", he told surrendering his hands up in the air while sujata walks towards him. "Is it paining?", She asked keeping her hand on his back while he nodded. "Tharay dad ne maray ko oo Kya kehte hain...haan video.... Video dikhai hai.... Jey Mai abhi thara massage krti Hoon or dekhna dard kese furr hojata hai", sujata utters while sanskar looks on, "No! Mom. I am alright", he told as he don't trust her copying videos. Sujata glared him," Tu apni mom ko Mana karega choray? Mai tharay ko 9 mahine apne pait Mai rakhi , yeh din dekhne k lie? ( You'll deny your mom? Who kept you in her stomach for 9 months? For this day I give birth to you?)", She told while sanskar looks at her speeches. He open his mouth to say something but, shut his mouth. "I'll not utter a word", he muttered in his breath. "Do whatever you want to do", he told while sujata smiled squeezing his cheeks,"Mara pyara chora", she told as she makes him stand, "Maaa", he shreiks as he felt difficulty to stand. "Choray, 1 minute", she said as she makes him stand straight,"don't move", she utters while he keep hand behind his back rubbing it. "It's paining mom", he utters while sujata removed his hand and makes a fist ," or yehleeee", she says as she hits her fist in his back making him yelp. Sanskar stumbled wincing when sujata holds his shoulder and gives a kick on his back making him fall straight on his face, "Maaaaaaa", he shouts wincing while sujata smiled ," gaya na choray.... Dard gaya na... Chal ab khara ho shabash", she told while sanskar cried, "Maaaaaaa..... I can't move", he shouts while sujata looks on scratching her forehead. "Why? They said that this will help in reducing pain", she told while sanskar hitted his fist on floor, "Help me getting upppp", he shouts in pain while sujata hurriedly went towards him holding him, "Aaahhhhh", he winced as she makes him turn. "Choray", sujata worriedly utters while he shuts his eyes, " Shall I try to kick you once again? Maybe it'll hit directly on the spot and the pain will vanish", sujata told while sanskar looks horrified,"Noooo Maaa.... Kripya karke mujhe baksh do( spare me)", he joined his palm against her while she pouts as he tried to stand from floor, sujata helps me and make him lay down, "Maa, Promise me you won't see videos from now on", sanskar utters yelping while sujata looks on apologetic. "Come, I'll apply balm", she said while sanskar shook his head ," I'll do that, you leave please", He utters in a pleading tone as he tried to lay down properly. "Choray", sujata shrinks her puppy eyes while he shook his head with painful Expression," Not gonna work Mom, Just give me my phone and good night", he told while sujata twisted her lips giving him the phone,"Jaa ghus ja apni maa k andar", she told cursing the phone and leaves while sanskar release the breath he didn't know he was holding. "Damn", he hissed in pain as he tried to turn, he shut his eyes tightly as he lay down on his stomach and keep the pillow on his back. "Mommmmm", he utters hitting his head on the bed and whines. His phone beeped and he hurriedly looked at it.

"Sorry, was having mother daughter moment and didn't want you to interrupt as a third wheeler😝", she messaged and he frowns seeing it and taps to reply, "Was having mother son moment too but, would have been thankful if you have been interrupted as the third wheeler 🥺", he replied back. Her screen pop up and she smiled slightly seeing his message, "Why? Did she shower Soo much love, tough to handle?", She replied back while he pouts seeing her message. "You can't even imagine her heights of love 👊🦶💪🦵😓", he replied and she couldn't help but, laughed seeing it. "Don't tell me at this age you got beaten up by Chachi ji😂", she replied while he rolls his eyes seeing her reply. "Won't you ask me the reason?😒 And, don't laugh. I am in pain and you should not laugh at other's miseries 😏", he replied while she looks on seeing his reply. "Pain? Are you okay? ", She asked concerned as she remembers sharmishta words. He looks at her reply and smirked tapping, " No! I am not.🤕😟", He replied while she bites her cheeks looking at his reply. "What should I do?", She mutters under her breath while another question mark pops up on her screen. "Take painkillers and apply some balm so, that you can atleast sleep peacefully tonight", she messaged while he looks on and smiled slightly, "Me? And, peaceful sleep are far far away ragini", he muttered to himself and taps his screen to reply, "Yes! Boss 👍 and, also you must be tired by now and also you have to go for work. You should sleep now. Good night 😴💤", she smiled weakly seeing his reply, "I am tired but, not sleepy Sanskar. Sleep is far far away from me", she mutters slightly as her eyes  moistened. She shook her head with a smile and taps to reply ," Yes! Just going to sleep. You also sleep after taking medicine. Good night 😴 and have cookies and pastries dream 🤤 and make sure not to fall from your bed while dreaming 😉 Bye", she replied with a small smile while he smiled slightly seeing her reply and shook his head after turning off his mobile while she also keeps her phone aside and stared at the ceiling.

"I know sleep is far far away from you but, still good night", sanskar mutters sighing as he closed his eyes remembering his moments with her. He remembers dp words, "I know no one will understand me as much you do. I don't know whether I am even capable of being your husband. I don't know. Everything is messed up ragini. I am messed up and I can't even tell you that.", he utters as he felt himself tangled in so many emotions. While, on the other hand she stared at ceiling, "I know peaceful and sleep is far away from you sanskar but, I wish one day you sleep peacefully without any pain. It's not easy sanskar, you've been always there when I needed a shoulder most. You've been my bestest friend in my hard times. I know we both are bind in a relation which we both don't want to name but, I don't know. Why it feels so wrong yet so right? It's confusing. I don't know whether I'll be able to see you as my husband or me as your wife  one day or not but, you'll be always my truest friend whom I can trust blindly and I'll be same to you until my last breath", she mutters remembering their moments together. For the first time after that tragic incident there mind is occupied with each other's thoughts apart from the pain, hurt and betrayal they went through. Maybe, this was the time where they are actually taking a step forward together leaving their past behind without their knowledge. Is this their second chance to themselves?

Scene shift

Swara paced in her bedroom while laksh kept looking at her distressed figure with a frown on his face. "Swara, stop", he finally says as he walks towards her and holds her shoulder making her sit on the nearby couch. "What is it?", He asked while she snapped her eyes at him, "What is it? You are asking me, what is it? Don't you know?", She shouts gritting her teeth while laksh rolls his eyes, "Is it because of what papa said?", He asked and swara shut her eyes looking away while laksh understood sitting beside her. "It's not going to be easy swara", he said while she turned and looked at him, "then make it easy laksh. I can't tolerate them not forgiving us for the crime we didn't do. Why the hell did they forgive ragini and sanskar for their deeds and not us? What is our crime ? Loving each other?", She asked with moisty eyes while laksh side hugged her. "No! Whatever, we did was correct swara. You know for a moment I feel that maybe...maybe what we did was incorrect but, now after getting treated by our own family I think we were right and they both deserve that only", laksh says while swara wipes her tears with her eyes flashed hatred," You are right. They deserve more then that laksh. Papa isn't letting my mun dikhai rasam happen because of ragini and sanskar and chachi ji is so adamant to do mine and ragini mun dikhai on same day as if she is their daughter-in-law. They aren't even completely married nor they will ever accept each other", swara utters while laksh nodded, "nor I'll let them accept each other", he utters and swara looked at him. "Didn't you see how they behaved that nothing matters to them. You know swara I think they are doing it deliberately, so that our family can never forgive us fully. Even papa is giving sanskar all the main work of office", laksh utters with a hint of anger in his eyes while swara also nodded," Even maa isn't talking to me properly. Whenever I call her she talks about ragini only as if she is her only daughter", swara utters as her face flashed hurt and hatred.

"I never thought I'll hate her this much laksh", swara utters resting her head on his chest while he caressed her hair's," Nor, I thought I'll hate sanskar this much", he muttered as they both looks on. "We need to do something laksh", swara uttered moving back while laksh looks at her," what?", He asked and swara inhaled a deep breath before uttering.

Ragini looked at herself in the mirror cladding in black and maroon salwar suit, she tied her hairs into a braid and adjusted her stole. She took her bag and headed outside her room. She entered hall and found her parents tensed while her grand parents sits with blank expression. She felt uneasy as she walks towards them, "Maa. Baba", she called as four of them looked at her. "Where are you going laado?", She turned and looked at Parvati who was giving her stern expression. "Bakery Dadi Maa", She replied hesitated while Parvati shakes her head, "Take off. You are not going anywhere today", she told while ragini looks at her confused,"But, Dadi Maa its my second day today. How can I?", She utters while Parvati eyes snapped at her sternly and she shuts her mouth. "Do as I say!", She declared while her eyes turned moisty, "Maa, let her go", it was shehkar who said. Ragini looked at her parents helplessly. "I am not denying her to do the job, I am just asking her to take day off", Parvati says. "But, why?", Ragini utters tightly clutching the bag she was holding. "Because, some people are coming to see you", Parvati utters while she moves back dazed. She looked at her parents who was looking at her helplessly. Her eyes turned moisty as tears started flowing from her eyes as she tightly clutches the bag she was holding. "Dadi...maa", she utters stammering. "Laado, listen to me", Parvati stands while ragini nods no. "How can you do this Dadi Maa?", She asked still not being able to accept what she heard while sharmishta and shehkar stood besides her. "Maa? Baba? Dada ji? How can you all?", She asked as she felt all her wounds opening again. "So? What do you want me to do laado? To see your mourning over that idiot forever?", Parvati asked while ragini looks at her as her hands turned into a fist, "I am already married Dadi Maaa", this time she shouted making everyone dazed. "I am sanskar's wife", she shouts again as she moves back and holds the chair to support her as she felt her heartbeat is about to explode on her chest. "Are you in your senses laado? You are not anyone's wife. I won't let you go near any of Maheshwari's. The groom family is coming to see you and I didn't told her about your any relation. So, it'll be better if you go and help your mother in kitchen and also get ready in a good outfit", Parvati told in authorized tone while ragini smiled painfully as her eyes turned red, "Till yesterday, I was feeling blessed to have you all beside me Dadi Maa but, today I wished you could understand me a little more", she utters as tears leaked her eyes, she joined her palm infront of her," I am sorry Dadi Maa. I can't betray myself anymore", she utters as she walks towards the door. "Laaadooo", Parvati shreiks in loud voice making her step halt. "Let her go", she closed her eyes hearing deendayal Gadodia's voice . She without turning left the house with tears continuously flowing.

"Ragini", she stopped seeing parineeta outside the baadi. She wipes her tears and looked at her, "Bhabhi?", She utters confused seeing her. " I was coming to meet you only", she replied while ragini looks on.

At Maheshwari Mansion

"Maa... please", swara cried holding annupurna legs who herself felt emotional seeing swara vulnerable state. "Please, maa. Forgive us. This is killing us maa. Please. Even ragini forgive us then why can't you all and papa ji?", She asked joining her palm infront of her. Ap holds her hand bending down," Swara", she makes her stands. "I don't want any mun dikhai rasam or anything maa. I will not ask for any post- marriage rituals which didn't happened with me and Laksh but, please forgive us. Atleast, then we'll feel that we are also part of this family and not outsider. I always thought about you all even when ragini was torturing you all, I was there to support you. I always considered you all as my own but, now I feel like an outsider maa. Please accept me and Laksh as your own. Please!", Swara cried while Ap instantly hugs her patting her head as tears flows from her eyes as well. "It's okay swara..it's okay. We all forgive you. You and Laksh are my child and will always be. There will be no discrimination between anyone here. I promise you'll get your rights and everyone will forgive you soon", Ap utters as she breaks the hug and wipes swara tears. "Today is special Pooja for  parineeta's child and as well today is your mun dikhai ki rasam. Get ready on time", Ap states patting her cheeks while swara looks on, "But, Papa?", She utters while Ap smiled, "I'll handle him..don't worry. You just get ready. I'll invite your family too", she said while swara smiled, "Really? Maa!", She asked with tears in her eyes and annupurna nodded kissing her forehead. "You are and will always be my bahu", she utters as she walks towards her cupboard and take out a pair of bangle making swara wear it. "Wear it today, okay?", She asked and swara nodded hugging her. "Thank you Soo much maa", she utters as she looks on with a smile.

Scene shift

"But, bhabhi", she stammers as she looks down while parineeta holds her hand. "Please! Ragini. I know you what are you feeling right now. But, think you are coming to your elder sister function. Please, Ragini. Not for parineeta bhabi but, for parineeta di please", parineeta utters holding her hand and squeezing it while ragini looks at her with heavy heart and nodded unwillingly. "I'll come today", she utters as she felt emotions bubbling up inside her heart. "Really? Thank you Soo much ragini", parineeta hugged her and she hugged her back. "Now everything will be fine between you two sister's", parineeta thinks in her head and smiled. She breaks the hug and cups ragini cheeks," Can you come early? Actually, I want you to make me ready", parineeta utters while ragini nodded plastering a fake smile. Parineeta smiled brightly," I'll wait for you", she told and ragini nodded. "I should leave", she told while ragini smiled nodding . She bids her bye and left while ragini looks on as a tear leaked her eye, " Where are you sanskar? I need you", she muttered as she looks at her phone screen.

Scene shift

Parineeta sits inside the car and took out her mobile and dials a number, "Swara? ", She utters and smiled. "Ragini agreed to come. Now, you can reconcile with your sister and also can clear all the misunderstanding", she told while swara smiled from the other side, "Thank You Soo Much for giving me a chance bhabhi. I'll not disappoint anyone", she utters cutting the call and looked at her reflection in the mirror folding her arms, "I'll be waiting for you Ragini", she utters glancing at her reflection with determined eyes.

Pheww... Finally likhliaa... Actually or likhna tha but, due to wastage of my three days by watty which I am so thankful not otherwise I had deleted my account due to it😤😤😤 .... This is all I could give you and also there is another plot on SR track on my mind which'll be updated soon name is 'Tangled Destiny' . I hope you'll love that story as much as this one. And, yes so how's the today episode. I hope it wasn't boring one. Now, any idea what's going to happen next? Finally ragsan are acknowledging their relationship,.do you think they'll accept soon?
