swapfell~

it was a cold day in snowdin, swapfell sans and papyrus were at there post waiting for humans, papyrus was told to say over night at his post. "AND I BETTER NOT SEE THAT YOU'VE FALLEN ASLEEP!" yelled sans as papyrus quietly nodded his head, "y-yes m'lord" said papyrus as sans walked home with there dog snowball. "i'll see you in the morning, mutt" was the last thing sans said to papyrus. it soon grew dark and papyrus was so tired, he tried his best to stay awake but only found himself falling asleep on his feel, he would hold up his head with his hand and when he fell asleep his head would fall on the table waking him up from the pain. "i-i'll take a walk to wake me up..." papyrus thought as he got up and walked around in the woods behind him. 

as he was walking he felt as if he was being watched, he didn't like it and tried to brush it off thinking it was just a bird, (see what i did there? (=^w^=)) as he walked deeper in the woods he felt something soft brush on his face, he looked around and saw that it was a feather, it was a white feather. "where did this come from?" papyrus thought as he looked around. he found a trail of these feathers. he followed where they go and ended up running into a tree, he looked up and saw more feathers falling from the tree, "h-hello? is someone up there?" he asked as he looked around and up the tree, he saw something in an orange cape with red boots and bright blue short, it seemed scared of him as this thing tucked what looked like white wing close to it's back. in a blink of an eye the bird like thing started jumping from branch to branch to get away from papyrus, "hey! get back here!" papyrus yelled as he started running after the thing.

papyrus was getting tired of this and used his blue soul attack to stop the thing and threw him on the snowy ground, "look *pant* i didn't want *pant* to hurt you *pant* but you left me with no choice" panted papyrus as he walked over to the bird like thing, it had it's back to papyrus so he couldn't see it's face but he did see that the feathers were coming from the bird things wings, on it's left wing there was a long line of red, it looked like a cut that was still bleeding, papyrus walked closer to the bird thing and made it face him, he was a bit shocked to see that this thing was a skeleton like him but looked smaller and didn't have a gold tooth or sharp fangs.

this thing looked scared out of his mind and was trying not to cry, "p-please don't hurt me!" it begged as papyrus pulled out a death stick from his pocket, he lit it without taking his eye's off the bird thing, "look" he started as he blew a puff of smoke from the death stick, "i'm not gonna hurt you if you tell me how you got here, okay?" papyrus said as he held out a hand for the bird thing to take. "just tell me your name first and what you are" papyrus said as he helped the bird thing up. "m-my names papyrus b-but my friends call me pappy, i-i'm a skeleton bird f-from an AU called bridtale b-but i don't really know where i am right now" pappy explained, "my names papyrus and you'er in swapfell bud" papyrus said as he started to walk away from pappy, "h-hey wait!" called out pappy as he ran after papyrus, "i-i don't want to be left alone, c-can i hang out with you?" asked pappy, "1. it's night and i have work to do, 2. why don't you just fly home and leave me alone? and 3. i'm not allowed to keep pest with me" said papyrus as he took a few more puffs of his death stick.

pappy was a bit sad, " i can't fly anywhere, my wings broken and i lost a lot of my feathers" he explained, "and i should care why?" asked papyrus as he sat down at his post, pappy climbed on top of it and held his head over the edge so papyrus was looking at him, "i can help you!" pappy said with a smile, "how can you help me if you don't even know your way home?" asked papyrus, "you look sleepy so i can wake you up if something's coming this way or when it's not so dark out" papyrus sighed and agreed to let pappy help as long as he got some sleep. pappy smiled and sat down on top of papyrus's post watching for humans and waiting till day, papyrus crossed his arms on the table and rested his head on them as he fell into a deep sleep.

all threw the night papyrus had a nightmare of all the things his brother has done and said to him, he didn't like it and just wanted to run far away from them, he felt tears running down his face as he slept, he knew there was nothing he could do to stop this nightmare from ending, he soon felt a small push on his shoulders as he started to wake up, "hm? what's up?" he said as he rubbed his eyes, "someones coming, and it's day now" pappy whispered as he hid behind papyrus. papyrus looked around and saw sans walking his way looking mad, "g-good morning m'lord" he said a bit scared, "you fell asleep, didn't you?!" he asked, "n-no one came m-m'lord, so i th-" "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK YOU STUPID WORTHLESS MUTT!!" sans yelled and slapped papyrus across the face making him fall out his chair, pappy, being the kind person he is, helped papyrus up and yelled at sans for hurting someone with only 1.hp, "you could kill him if you keep hurting him!" pappy yelled, "WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'ER DOING YELLING AT ME ABOUT MY MUTT!!?" sans yelled. 

"m-m'lord, he was just worried about me is all" papyrus tried to explain as he rubbed his face where sans hit him but sans didn't care, "PAPYRUS IS MY MUTT SO I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT WITH HIM! I DON'T CARE IF HE DIES OR NOT!" sans yelled, "then i'll just take him from you! if you can't treat him right then you don't get him at all!" pappy yelled as he grabs papyrus by the hand and walked off with him. sans growled as ran after pappy with a sharp bone in hand, "DON'T. YOU." he started as he grabbed pappy by his hurt wing, pappy stopped to see what he was gonna do and was now scared for his life. sans stabbed pappy in his wing, pappy screamed in pain "EVER THINK ABOUT TAKING MY MUTT AGAIN!!" sans yelled as he kept pulling the sharp bone out pappies wing and sticks it back in till pappy lays down in the snow crying and holding his now bleeding and broken wing.

"bring this thing with us to the house, if he doesn't die on the way then you can keep him, he's now you'er pet so you have to take care of him" sans explained as he started to walk home, papyrus picked up pappy and followed sans, he was a pretty worried about pappy, as papyrus walked home with sans he watched pappies hp closely, he waited till he got to his room to try and heal pappy but papyrus wasn't so good at it. papyrus only manged to get pappies hp up to 17, papyrus sat down on his bed hugging his so called 'pet' to his chest, he felt like it was his fault for getting pappy hurt, for letting pappy stick up for him... he'll do his best to take care of him now, papyrus won't let anyone or anything hurt pappy.
