Awards, Thanks Yous, and Congratulations

Hello! This past year, I had entered this book, Swanna Girl and Braviary Man, into the 2018 Pokémon Watty Awards. This is something that was a bit scary for me and I wasn't sure what the outcome would be. I pushed myself to do this seeing as I had readers express how much they enjoyed it, so I thought, what the heck? Obviously, I had nothing to lose, but the experience was something I wasn't expecting. It was a fun ride, and hopefully, one day, I can do again.

None of this would have happened with the support of many people. Because of this, I believe a few thank you's are in order.

First off, I'd like to thank all of my readers. Whether you've discovered this book in its early stages and was forced to wait for the updates, or had stumble upon this book because of the Watty's or once completed, it means a lot that you have put some time and effort into reading this. Thank you for all your support.

A special thanks goes out to the GRA, or more specifically, blue___22 for reviewing my book. I love hearing what people think of my work: the good, the bad, the ugly. Through this review, I have gained a new perspective on this that if I were to edit and make a few changes to this book (which may very well happen in the near future) I will definitely use these critiques on it. Thank you for putting time into it.

I also want to thank the PokemonWatties for holding this contest every year. There are so many amazing fan fics that are often overlooked, and are overshadowed by some amazing works. I'm glad that this committee has made a fun way of helping writers improve, and also help promote Pokefic in a unique way. It takes a lot of hard work, time, and effort to organize such a big event, so thank you for doing this.

Thank you to all the judges who's judged this year in the Pokémon Watty Awards. After entering the PWA, I realized there were a ton of great works entered in every category. Having to read and judge every book in a category or two is no easy feat. Thank you for your time and helping the Pokémon Community out in a way.

Congrats to all the writers who've entered this contest. That's no easy feat either. Lots of stress, hard work, dedication, time, etc etc is put into it. These writers should be appreciated in the sense that they worked hard in entering the contest, meeting the deadline, and finding the courage to do so. Good job to everyone who participated.

Now, in case anyone missed it, Swanna Girl and Braviary Man was entered in the Miscellaneous category of the PWA. There were so many great books in this category, some of which I had read well before I saw them on the list. This category had so many great entries, so it made me happy that I had the chance of reading and competing among these amazing works.

With so many great entries, I wasn't expecting to place, and yet Swanna Girl and Braviary Man was awarded 5th place in its category. I cannot tell you all how happy this has made me. Even more so, this book was nominated for some special awards, including Best Relationship (Sylvia and Rudi) and Best Media. Congratulations to Dragons_Rose  (winner of Best Relationship: Kate and Keith in Lost in Reality) and to EeveelutionBrandi (winner of Best Media with The Kirlia Girl). They really deserved these awards as their books showed great strength in that category. These writers, and the other writers who were also nominated, had some really amazing stories.

Through all of this, I somehow got nominated and won Best New Author. Thank you to everyone who nominated/voted/supported me through all of this. Congratulations to all the new authors that have entered their works in the PWA's this year. Writing a story and entering it into a huge contest like this is very intimidating, especially for those of us who are new. I just want to recognize your bravery in that, and let you know that it's amazing that you put your story out there.

And last but certainly not least, a huge congratulations should go to the winners of every category as their works are simply phenomenal. That would take too long to go down the entire list (which you can go to the PWA Result's book, and check out all the winners and runner ups there). Still, there were so many amazing books in the Miscellaneous book that I feel like I gigantic congratulations is in order.

So, congratulations to:

4th place winner: ragnarok- with Gates of Time

3rd place winner: SGmijumaru with The Forgotten Clone

2nd place winner: @glaceon346 with Anonymous

And the winner: Dragons_Rose with Lost in Reality.

These writers, along with all the writers who've participated in all the categories, have shown some hard work. If you have the time, I highly recommend looking at the works of the writers who've participated in the PWA's because their work is just amazing. Good job to everyone who participated.

At this point, I feel like I'm saying thank you and congratulations a lot, but in reality, entering a contest like this can be challenging to someone who's not very competitive (well, at least when it comes to something like this). Entering the PWA's has been a blast, and I hope to compete again soon, and challenge all of those with finished books to do the same. It's a wonderful experience that gives you the chance to meet new people, read new books, and gives a chance for recognition for these books writers have worked so hard on.

Until next time, take care!
