(Josh's pov)
Once Tyler swan away onto the lake, I did exactly what he told me to do. I made my way out of the Enchanted Forest and ran off back to the neighborhood to find Tyler's family.
I made my way up to the doorstep of their house. Mrs. Joseph opened the door.
"Josh, you came back." She said.
I leaned back a bit.
"Tyler is alive." I told her. "He is okay."
"Oh thank goodness."
When she looked out, she could not see him.
"Where is he?" She asked.
I breathed in a bit.
"Look, I know this sounds strange to you but, Tyler told me he needs you and his siblings to attend my college dance tomorrow night. He will be there to see you."
Mrs. Joseph looked down to the ground.
"I wish to see him now." She said.
"I know how you're feeling, but Tyler is in a very bad situation and he needs you to go to the ball to see him." I begged.
"What is the bad situation?"
"That, I cannot tell you. But you must go if you wanna see him again....please."
While looking down to the ground, Mrs. Joseph nodded.
"Okay Josh."
I smiled.
"Good."
(Tyler's Pov)
That evening, I was back to my human form. As I got out of the water and put on my black hoodie, I saw Jenna, Dallon, and the rest of the fairies and elves waiting for me.
"What's going on?" I asked; walking over to them.
"We found the answer!" Dallon cried happily.
"Answer to what?"
"To break the spell!"
Dallon handed me a tiny piece of paper. Using the magic crystal, I was able to see what was written on it.
The one who frees the magic crystal will share a love so true, it will overcome all evil magic.
"Josh!" Dallon said. "You told him you loved him. He's one who will break the spell!"
Halsey gasped.
"There's a however on the back." She said.
If however, the true love pledges love to another, the magic crystal will lose it's power.
Halsey lifted her head up to us.
"And Tyler will die."
Everyone was shocked; including myself. I ran off to the lake and cried.
"We can't let Tyler die!" Dallon shouted. "He's the only one who can save us all!"
"Don't worry guys." Jenna said. "We're going to help him. And even if the power fails, we won't let him die."
Everyone gathered around me and comforted me.
"We're gonna help you." Jenna said. "Besides, Josh only loves you. He will help you, I promise that."
I lifted my head up to Jenna; smiling.
"Thank you."
She helped me back to my feet.
"Well then, let's get you ready for the ball tomorrow." Dallon said.
"I may not have many powers left." Jenna said. "But I will make you look beautiful."
Using her magic, Jenna turned my black hoodie into a dark black tux with a white bow tie. I looked down at myself. I was amazed.
"You look beautiful." Dallon said.
"Thank you." I replied. "I wish I knew a lot more but, I don't know how to dance at a ball."
"Don't worry." Mark said.
"Yeah Tyler." Halsey added. "We'll teach you."
Everyone helped me learn the basic dancing by doing some of it with me. I felt so happy.
We practiced all through the night, until when dawn broke, I turned back into a swan. Along with the fairies and elves changing back into animals. And Jenna's powers were fading off. I was terrified. I was worried this plan wouldn't work.
(3rd person pov)
Brendon and Debby sat together after learning of Tyler's plan to find true love and break the spell.
"What are we gonna do?" Debby asked.
"We have to stop the spell from being broken and get that crystal." Brendon said.
"How are we gonna do that?"
Brendon stood up.
"You are gonna be involved." He said; casting magic over Debby's bracelet.
"Uncle Brendon! That's my third favorite bracelet!"
"It has a special power that will make you look like Tyler." He said. "It'll trick loverboy into thinking you are his true love. Once he pledges his love to you, the boy will die, and the crystal will be mine."
Debby laughed.
"I get to marry loverboy!"
As the two laughed, Dallon was able to hear the whole plan. He rushed back to the Enchanted Forest to warn everyone.
