Chapter One
A year had passed since little Peter was taken from his carriage, as his mother and grandmother argued over his future.
His mother wanted to raise him, while his grandmother wanted to be rid of the shame that the baby boy's birth had brought upon the family name.
The very idea of growing up and growing serious terrified young Peter so much, that the mischievous fae sensed it and saw an opportunity.
One that they didn't hesitate to take advantage of. Twice.
A year after her child was abducted, Odette stared down at the picture of her missing son. The distant sounds of children playing in the park rung in her ears, causing her heart to break all over again.
She had searched all over Kensington Gardens for her baby, but to no avail. The police scoured London for the missing boy, but the only child that was found was a six year old girl who had gotten lost on her way home from school.
Now the young mother sat alone in the very same park where her son had been taken, black and white photograph in hand.
A rustling of the bushes behind Odette, caused her to snap around, brown eyes examining the area of the park where the noise had been made.
She was alone.
Just as the brunette had begun to relax, the sound of giggling rung in her ears. Coming from the same spot she'd heard the rustling.
"Is there someone over there?" Odette's voice carried through the wind, the setting sun highlighting her furrowed brow.
As the woman stood from the bench, the rustling and giggling grew louder. The airy tone of the laughter had begun to change into a menacing cackle, as Odette approached the tall shrubs.
Reaching out her hand, she pulled apart two of the shrubbery, only for the laughter to abruptly stop. Before the young mother was a very large and very deep rabbit hole.
"How peculiar..." She muttered, stepping closer to the concerning sight.
However, before Odette could get a clearer look of the large hole, she was aggressively shoved from behind. The action causing her to tumble into the rabbit hole's dark abyss.

SHE HAD BEEN CONFINED to the enchanted lake and the temple that resided next to it for decades.
Forty years had passed since Odette had been taken by the fae and brought to Never Island. Despite the years passing, the woman did not age a day.
Since she was taken, the woman continued to ask the fae for a reason behind her abduction but they would only respond with "The boy needs his mother".
Even though she stopped aging, Peter aged until he reached his teens. A year after, he stopped visiting his mother.
She continued in her loneliness for twenty years, until a pirate stumbled upon the lake.
