"Let's split up and look for him." Katara asserted as you laid in the water, trying to cool off. Aang had gone missing after a whole scene about not being ready to fight the Fire Lord but not having a choice about the matter.

Quickly, Toph attached herself to Zuko's arm, immediately causing him to blush as you gave him eyes.

"I'm going with Zuko!" She declared as everyone looked at her oddly. "What?! Everyone else went on a life-changing field trip with Zuko. Now it's my turn."

You laughed as you squirted some water her way with the water bending you had been working on, getting her hair wet.

"Be good ta 'im." You called out, "I ain't leavin' the water unless ya got some good food."

And indeed, you certainly weren't going to. You would swim up and down the beach and look for Aang, but any time you left the water, you felt ill. Ergo, you were not going to be leaving the water. And that meant trusting Zuko with watching the eleven year old.

But as everyone dispersed and you swam up and down the beach, there was no luck to be had. Aang was no where in sight. An hour or so later, everyone reconvened at the same spot.

"Judging by the looks on your faces, I'm guessing you guys didn't find Aang, either." Sokka remarked, jumping off of Appa.

"No. It's like he just... disappeared." Zuko shook his head, walking closer to you.

"Hey, wait a minute. Has anyone noticed that Momo is missing, too?" Toph mentioned.

"Oh no! I knew it was only a matter of time! Appa ate Momo!" Sokka lifted open Appa's mouth, to your delight. "Momo, I'm coming for you, buddy." 

"Sokka, Appa didn't eat Momo. He's probably with Aang." Katara tried to reason with her brother.

"That's just what Appa wants you to think." Sokka narrowed his eyes as he climbed into Appa's mouth, making you giggle more as Zuko played with your hair.

"Get out of the bison's mouth, Sokka. We have a real problem here. Aang is nowhere to be found and the comet is only two days away." Zuko corrected the teen's behavior.

"What should we do, Zuko?" Katara turned to your lover honestly. The rest of the crew turned to him as well as you stroked his hand. Even Sokka got out of Appa's mouth, covered in air bison spit.

"I don't know." He stood up. "Why are you all looking at me?"

"Well, you are kind of the expert on tracking Aang." Katara admitted.

"Yeah, if anyone's got experience hunting the Avatar ... it's you." Toph shrugged as Sokka slipped in the background.

"Fine. Everyone get on the bison. I have an idea." Zuko nodded after thinking for a minute.

"Everyone?" Your face paled.

"Everyone." He frowned as he held a hand out to you. "But you can keep your swamp clothes on."

You sighed a small sigh of relief as you took his hand and got out of the water.

Everyone quickly got on Appa's back and Zuko began flying him in a particular direction.

"Zuko, I don't wanna tell you how to do your job, but why are we heading towards the Earth Kingdom? There's no way Aang's there." Sokka noted.

"Just trust me." Zuko replied as he held you between his legs.

I'm doin' an awful lotta that right now. You thought to yourself as your face turned green. Awful lot.
