21: Dominance
"What have you done to me?! Release me right this moment!" Azula screamed out.
"Lemme think... No. Instead I'm going to torture you until you personally escort me to ya daddy now. Swampy? Ain't nothing wrong with that. But being dead? I reckon ya can't rule the world from beyond the grave." You were upset now. Angry that not only had Azula stopped you, but at yourself for letting your mission be delayed by a simple teenage boy.
You looked around at the Dai Li agents scattered around you. There was only four, but nevertheless they were tiring to hold on to.
"Alright, I'm gonna let these poor men go, since they ain't done nothin' to me. But if any of y'all even start to bend, I'll just stop ya hearts. Am. I. Clear?" You weren't playing around.
You released them just enough for them to scamper out of the room. In a play of power, you were on top. And now, you were able to focus your entire attention of the annoying little girl in front of you.
As you walked closer to Azula, you forced her to stand up.
"What is this?!" She screamed out again.
"Oh just stop ya screamin'. Promise you'll take me to the Fire Nation and I'll let you go."
"No." Azula was struggling hard against you, causing you to break out into a sweat. She breathed out fire at you from her nostrils.
"Hey! Talk about no manners." You forced her onto the ground, face down. Slowly, you centered yourself and began slowing down the blood flow to her brain. It wouldn't kill her, but she would feel like it was.
You watched as Azula began sweating, crying and suffering.
"I ain't care what happens to ya, girl. Ya know that ya dyin', right? Ya ain't dumb?"
"Y-yes!" Azula choked out. You put the pressure on, and slowed down the oxygenated blood going to her lungs. Now she was going to feel like she was suffocating, rather than just dying.
"Well then, I want ya to promise to take me back to ya daddy's. And I don't want ya to say nothing about our little... rendezvous. Alright?"
"...f-fine." She finally squeaked out. Instantly, you released her from your grip.
As she gasped from the sudden amount of oxygen and blood returned back to her, you looked down at her, waiting for any hint of fight left in her. But when she sat up, she had a very odd look in her eye. Something of resignation, embarrassment and anger. But she did nothing but stand up.
"Good, great! Ya seem ready to be reasonable! So show me to ya way outta here and if ya could... order me some Fire Nation clothes. I'd like ta fit in." You smiled and returned to your normal demeanor. You shook your head and tried to clear your head. That was one problem that came with blood bending. The feeling of absolute control could make you feel intoxicated. Sometimes it was difficult for you to come back from it. But you had a mission.
As Azula silently got up, she walked with slumped shoulders, looking back at you briefly to indicate that you should follow.
As you followed her through the twists and turns within the palace until finally, you were led out a door to a vehicle of some sort.
"Inside there are plenty of costumes. Just... choose one that you think may blend in." And with that, Azula turned to leave.
"Thanks, Azula! You're a real pal!" You shouted after her as you entered the vehicle. She shivered as she disappeared into the palace.
Inside, you tore through to find these costumes. Eventually you stumbled upon the one that fit you perfectly. You thought it must have belonged to a dancer. It was a bikini-like top, bejeweled with ruby red gems. To match, you had a gauzy skirt with a slit from the bottom to the waistband, orange and red. Properly covered now (at least in your opinion), you decided to put on a bunch of the jewelry laying around. Bracelets, anklets, armbands, rings. You frowned when you looked down at your necklace-- it didn't match-- but you left it. You figured that you'd never see Zuko again. But you were seriously wrong.
