We began our journey back to the entrance. My mind dead set on making that psychopath pay his little "Gift". I swear, I'll make him pay and get some answers while I'm at it. You better what out, you maniac. Richard led me through the hallway and stopped in front of a door. When he did, a voice boomed loudly through the hallway. It's volume making me jump.

"Trying to escape are we?" The voice said. There's that psychopath again...

"You! What do you want?" I ask as I headed through the door.

"Well, aren't we grumpy today. But then again that's to be expected. After all, you just woke up. Good thing you did. To be quite honest, I was concerned you would never wake up again. That does happen sometimes you know?" Wow, I don't know whether I should be creeped out or glad. You know what, I'll go with creeped out here. As the man talked, Richard led me through the stair well. It was a long climb back to the top. Because we were on Cell Block G, it took some time to get back up to the top. But once we did, the man talked again.

"It seems our Gift is starting to assimilate to you quite nicely. Good, you might be worthy, unlike the others. But let's see how worthy. After all, I don't want you to get a big head. Let's see your worth Kit Parks." Suddenly, an alarm began to sound throughout the prison. It's loud sound instantaneously made my hands go to my ears. That alarm doesn't sound good. Let's go before whatever that guy has released gets to us. Richard seemed to be thinking the same. Quickly, he opened the door and let me through. Then once we're through, he ran ahead to the metal door.

"Kit! We need to lift this! Come on!" Richard yelled. I nodded and ran toward him. When I do, a fence suddenly comes down over the door. It's thin metal frame closing our only escape route.

"No! Dang it!" I say, my voice barely audible.

"Dang it. No good. We need to get this open before..." Suddenly, Richard's voice was cut off. The alarm that had sounded suddenly went off. The void the sound left almost sounded surreal. But the void didn't last long. Instead, it was replaced by an even more grotesque sound. Many inhuman moans and sounds began to fill our ears. Man, this keeps getting better and better! First it was the alarm, not it's monsters. He must have released every monster in this prison. Great, just perfect!

"Kit, look here." Richard pointed to a little box with a keypad on the wall. Wait a minute, a passcode machine! If we can guess the right password, we can get out of here! That's it!

"Richard, what password do you think we should use?" I ask as the moans began to get louder. Richard shakes his head.

"Don't know. But we need to guess the right one and fast. Let's see here... how about prison?"

"Let's try it" I reply. Richard types in the password. When he does, a beeping sound comes from the machine. Dang it! Wrong password! Man, this thing probably has a password limit. So we can't just type in passwords all day. It has to be something no prisoner would think of. Hmm, this is going to take some time to think up. But not too much time though. We have monsters on our tail. Let's see. While I thought of passwords, the man voice comes back on again.

"Wrong kiddos. But don't feel too bad. After all, not many of the prisoners we find know about him." Him? So it's a person. Okay, think think. Who would this person be?

"A person huh? A friend perhaps. Man, I heard Kollyn Summers built this prison. He must have built this place well," Richard said. Immediately, I look at him. Really Richard? Now's not the time to discuss who built the prison. Wait a minute... Kollyn Summers. Could it be his name is the password? Immediately the man spoke.

"You imbecile. I was the one who built this prison! Me! Kollyn Summers only served as inspiration for my passwords. Wait, dang it!" Ah ha! Got you! Immediately, I go to the password machine and type in Kollyn Summers name. When I did, the metal bars receded.

"Richard! Let's get out of here!" I said. Richard and I grabbed the metal door and began to pull it up. My muscles burned as I slowly lifted up the door. Come on! Come on! Just a little more! When the door almost to my head, a sudden banging on the door down hall sounded. Then, without warning, the door flew open. Monster began to pour in from the stairwell. Dang it! We were so close! Suddenly, I felt a strong hand push me through the door and outside. Quickly, I get up and see the door slowly began to close.

"Richard!" I said as I went to the door. Oh no, Richard! No, he can't trap himself inside there! I've got to save him! When my body approaches the door, a sudden bang comes from it.

"Richard! Are you okay?!" I ask, my voice slowly rising in volume

"Yeah, Kit you need to go on. I... I can't go with you. As much as I wish to, I can't go with you. Please, go on!" Richard said, his voice growing quieter.

"But..."

"No but's! Go!" With that, I turn my back on the prison. But not before I make a promise.

"Richard, if you can still hear me, I promise you I'll come back. I promise I'll find you and get you out of there. Okay? Just stay alive until then. I'll come back!" With that said and done, I turn around and take a few steps forward. When I do, the man's voice returns.

"So, you survived. Good, gooood. But you're not out of the water yet you know" he says. Anger begins to bubble inside my being.

"You need to watch yourself. I'll be coming after you. Just wait." Immediately, the man laughs.

"Persistent, ruthless, and yet compassionate. And with those blue eyes of yours too. Hmph, if Kollyn Summers were here, he would be so proud. It's a shame he's gone. He was the best thing to happen to this swamp. But oh well. Anyway, a shame what happened to your friend. But it seems you're tougher then him. You're more... what's the word..." Immediately, my anger bursts out of my body. Immediately, I find the megaphone the man's voice comes from. With anger coursing through my veins, I shoot the megaphone and continue walking. I'm not stopping. Not until I find him. I walk towards an uncertain destination, my mind completely unaware of what I'll find.
