Stabler Scolding
Olivia was busily typing at her computer. It had been a long night and she was on her third cup of coffee, but she had to stay awake until Elliot returned. They were supposed to head out to lunch once he returned from his recent lead. "Olivia." A voice spoke, making Olivia jump.
Her brown eyes widened as she stared at the blonde in front of her. "Maureen," Olivia gasped. "God, you scared you." She added, gently laughing.
"Sorry." Maureen replied, a nervous smile on her face. Olivia quickly took in Maureen's state. She was standing with her hands folded and her right foot was tapping like crazy.
"Your dad just left for Brooklyn on a lead. If you want I could call him back in. He should only be about ten minutes out." Olivia started as she stood up from her desk, pulling out her cellphone.
"No!" Maureen quickly argued, grabbing Olivia's wrist. Olivia looked into Maureen's blue eyes, sirens going off in her head. Maureen nervously chuckled, pulling her hand back to her side. "Please, don't. I'm not here to see him." She explained, shaking her head.
Olivia furrowed her eyebrows, staring at the young woman. "Then why are you here?" She asked, confused by what was happening. Maureen walked closer to Olivia, keeping her head down.
"Can we talk somewhere private, please?" She whispered, her voice slightly shaking. Olivia nodded her head, placing her hand on Maureen's lower back.
"Of course, sweetheart. Right this way." Olivia replied, leading towards an interview room. Thoughts began to run wild in Olivia's head. Maybe Maureen was having trouble with school or maybe her parents were back to fighting.
They entered the room, Olivia helping Maureen sit down on one of the chairs. "Can I get you anything? Water? Soda?" Olivia asked, looking over Maureen's face. She softly smiled and nodded her head.
"A water would be great. Thanks."
"I'll be back, okay?" Olivia replied before she headed out the door. She let out a long sigh and shook her head, making her hair wave out to the sides. As if on cue, Munch and Fin were just arriving from their latest lead.
"Hey, Liv. Got a minute?" Fin asked as they entered the squad room. Olivia shook her head as she filled a plastic cup with water.
"Actually, no. I'm currently working with someone." She answered, her voice sounding a bit nervous. Fin and Munch both furrowed their eyebrows, walking closer to her.
"Another victim?" John questioned for him and Fin. Olivia shrugged her shoulders and shook her head.
"Not sure, but whatever you do, don't let Elliot in or see." She commanded, heading back towards the interview room. She didn't want to keep Maureen waiting too long and make her think that she was calling her father.
"Why? You two buttin' heads again?" Fin asked as she walked off.
"I'm interviewing Maureen." Olivia replied, giving them a worried smile.
"As in Stabler's Maureen?" John pressed, hoping that his suspensions were wrong. Olivia nodded her head, making both Fin and John let out a long sigh. Olivia walked back into the room just as Elliot entered the squad room.
"Where's Liv?" He questioned, sorting through his desk. He was throwing papers around, looking for something important.
"She just left. Not sure when she'll be back." Fin quickly lied. John and Fin made eye contact and shrugged their shoulders, hoping Elliot would buy it. Of course, he was too busy looking for something so he didn't even notice their exchange.
"When she gets back, tell her to call me. Tamara Bellmen is making her way back into this tangled mess. Turns out she was banging the love doctor too." He explained as he finally found whatever he was looking for.
"Got it," Fin nodded as Elliot left again. John and Fin let out a sigh, looking at each other. "That was close. If Liv was out here any longer, her interview would have been cut short."

"Olivia," Maureen started after she pulled the cup away from her pink lips. She gently set the cup down, watching the little drops plop onto the table. "Dad told that when you were growing up, you had a rough childhood. He never specifically told us why, but I figured out it after a while."
"Really?" Olivia replied, beginning to bite on her lower lip. She knew Maureen and she trusted Elliot. Whatever Maureen knew, Olivia knew that it would be safe with them.
"Yeah," she answered, nodding her head as she looked down. Maureen just had to come out and say it, but she couldn't. What if her father was behind that glass window? What if he walked in just as she was telling her. "Please don't tell Dad what I'm about to tell you." She stated, closing her blue eyes.
"Whatever you say will be our secret, okay?" Olivia assured, gently patting Maureen's cold hand. Maureen softly smiled, glad that Olivia was here to support her.
"Liv, I'm pregnant." Maureen slowly confessed. Olivia's brown eyes widened, fleeing like they were going to pop out.
"How far along are you?" She calmly asked, trying not to seem worried. Maureen closed her eyes, tears beginning to gently roll down her cheeks.
"Three months." She admitted, her voice slightly cracking.
"Anyone else know about this? Your mother? One of your siblings?" Olivia asked, trying to get a feel for this predicament. Maureen scoffed and stood up, beginning to pace around the room.
"I could never tell my mom or siblings. If I told one of my siblings, they would squeal to Mom and she would tell Dad and he would have a cow. I would get the world's biggest Stabler scolding." She exclaimed, running her hands through her hair. Olivia's eyes followed her, trying to read what Maureen was feeling.
"Why would he have a cow?" She asked. Maureen groaned and rolled her blue eyes.
"Dad is far more Catholic and protective than Mom," she answered, her voice slightly getting angry. "Don't have sex before you're married. Follow the rules. Play it safe." She repeated, mocking his voice.
Olivia nodded her head, knowing that would be something Elliot would say. He loved his children and he didn't want them to make the same mistakes he did. "Do you know who the father is?" Olivia asked, trying to change the topic.
Maureen stopped in her tracks. She covered her mouth, trying to hold in her cries. She turned around to face Olivia. Her Stabler blue eyes were brighter than Olivia had ever seen. "That's the thing," she sniffed. "I was raped."
Olivia immediately stood up, hugging Maureen as she sobbed in her arms. "Sweetheart. You're father would never yell at you for being raped. Why didn't you tell him? Why didn't you tell me?" She rambled before she could even think about what she was saying.
"You and Dad are sex cops. I should have known the guy following me down the street was a rapist. I felt his creepy stare, but I just figured I was being paranoid. It's my own fault." She sobbed, her tears beginning to soak Olivia's shirt.
"This is not your fault. You couldn't have known," Olivia comforted. Maureen continued to cry and didn't show any signs of stopping. "Are you planning on keeping it?" Olivia asked, suddenly feeling too involved. She was a product of rape, after all.
Maureen let go, nodding her head. "I'm Catholic. Abortion is a sin," she answered. "Plus, I've seen how you've turned out. I want to keep my baby." She gently chuckled.
Olivia let out a soft sigh as she gently brushed back Maureen's tangled strands. "That's good. That's really good." She softly smiled.
Maureen nodded her head, but suddenly hardened her face, looking like her father. "but what am I supposed to tell Dad?" She asked.
"Tell me what?" Elliot questioned, bursting through the door. Fin and John peeked their heads around the door.
"Sorry, Liv. Couldn't stop the Unstabler." Fin apologized, though Elliot did even seem to hear his insult. Rage was present on Elliot's face. He always like to be the first to know everything, especially when it involved his children.
"What do you have to tell me?" He demanded, now looking down at Maureen. Tears began to pool in her blue eyes as she looked into her father's matching pair. Her bottom lip trembled as she felt herself shaking.
"It's okay, Maureen. He'll understand." Olivia butted in. By now, everyone was watching what was happening. They had seen Stabler in a rage so everyone wanted to know what was happening.
Maureen closed her eyes, not wanting to see his face. "I'm pregnant," She cried, her voice cracking. Elliot's expression began to soften as she broke down in tears. "I was raped three months ago." She added, hoping that he would listen to her.
Immediately, he pulled her into a hug. She cried more, not expecting him to act so calm. She could hear his heart pounding away. Olivia watched as his jaw moved up and down, trying no think of what to say. "Why didn't you tell me? Wh-why did you wait so long?" He softly questioned.
She sniffed, her eyes still closed as she cuddled against his chest. "You and Mom just had Eli four months ago. I didn't want to add into the mess and make you guys fight again." She replied, though he knew that wasn't the full answer.
"Wh-why else? Why didn't you come to me sooner?" He asked as his tears began to pool in his eyes.
"I was afraid of what you would say. I-I didn't want a Stabler scolding like Kathleen." She whispered through her tears. He let out a sigh, resting his head on top of hers. He closed his eyes, wishing he would be such a fear to his children. At that moment, he vowed to find her rapist and to be there for Eli and his future grandchild.
