Marco Pov
Was everything tad was saying true? Was I just pushing her feelings because I couldn't see us together? Was I just doing this so I can show her that I care? Or am I fool to think otherwise? I knew the moment when I saw her kiss it was over and she moved on. In that moment I felt the pain and ache in my chest as I fell to the ground once we made it to the castle. I was choking and coughing but nothing came out until a few petals came out covered in blood. I started to cry and run over the petals as i sigh "I'm in love with her and she's not."

A few days goes by and we're having a blast but I get that tickle in my throat again. Please wait until I'm alone. "Marco you okay? You're not getting sick are you?" I shake my head and smiled but it didn't work as I fell and kept coughing until flowers and petals came out "Marco?! What is? What's wrong?!" Her eyes filled with worry as she touched the flowers "Sunflowers.."

She whispered as she held my cheek "Marco please tell me this isn't what I think it is?" I had tears flowing down my face and shook my head "I'm sorry.." was all I could muster up before she wrapped her arms around me "Do you love me?" I asked as she pulled away "Marco..I'm with Tom now." Of course she wouldn't it was just for my benefit

"How do I fix this? Is there a spell I can do?" I pushed her aside and wobbled to my feet "You can't fix it with magic. Not this time. You have to return my feelings for it to work." She gasps and lowered her head "I'm so sorry Marco but-" "Save it. Does Mewni do surgeries here? If not I'll go home and get rid of it." As I held my chest she pulls my arm "What happens when it's done?"

I lowered my head "I no longer love you..all feelings I had towards you disappear along with the petals" I moved from her grasp as she held the flower. Man she isn't even stopping for doing the procedure. She really must not love me at.

Days goes by and back on earth in the hospital. Pale and starting to feel worse. I could've done the procedure but I wait for her okay. As on command she stood at the foot of my bed "Hey Marco..how you feeling?" I cough as a few petals came out "Not well.." I managed to say weakly

"I'm sorry Marco. I just can't and I'm not sure if I could love you? I just want my best friend back. So go with the procedure, I'll be okay with you not having those feelings for me." Her smile falters a bit but she smiles brightly anyways "Are you sure? Once it's *cough* done I can no longer love you or have any type of feelings for you. Are you going to be okay?" She nods

"Yeah. I'll be fine. I don't want you to die. You made a promise to stay by my side." I did didn't I? "I know. Well thanks I guess? Call the doctor's in" she nods but I noticed tears falling and hearing the whimper as she rushed out. "Okay!" She said as I could breathe a bit better now. Odd? As the doctor's came in they noticed something "Its disappearing?" I smiled softly as I pulled the doctor's closer and told them the plan.

After hours goes by I look brand new and I see my parents and Star walk in as she comes closer "Hey Marco? How you feel about me?" I made a neutral face as she winced "Like I said I can't love you anymore. Isn't that what you wanted?" She holds her chest as she sounds as she's suffocating. After she coughs up a few red petals.

"You still loved me didn't you?" She blushed as she wipes her mouth "I never did. Do you still love me?" I nodded "Of course Star. I waited for you to realize that before you had to go through the same fate. It was cruel but I wanted you to see." She smacks my arm and hugs me tightly "You idiot!" I smirked and chuckled "Sorry. Are you and Tom?"

"No. He had a feeling I was still into you." I raised a brow "Wouldn't he go through the same fate I did?" "No. It doesn't affect him." I nod slowly "So what I'm hearing is that you're free?" She smirks and nods "Yeah." I chuckled "So..Star would you maybe want to go on a date?" She looks at me and smiles "No." I raised a brow and she starts laughing

"Just kidding. Yeah I would." "Star you scared me! Don't do that again!" She giggles and looks at me "The face you made was pricesless. I love you Marco" I chuckled "Love you too."

That was years ago. Now I'm standing here looking down at my own daughters eyes as I see that familiar glint in her eyes. She's fallen for someone and is unsure if they feel the same.
