I stood there watching her come closer as she had something up her sleeve. She gave a evil smirk and she pulled my face closer towards her own. "My dear child..isn't it sad to lose everything at a young age? Wouldn't you want to have revenge on the man who killed your beloved family?" I began to cry which every word she spoke "Just take my hand and I'll gladly give you the satisfaction you desire.." she walked around as her eyes seem to glow green "If  I do this..will he be gone from my life?" She nods and smiles kindly "As you wish my dear.." I took a deep breath and took her hand and felt it burn. I made a terrible mistake..

Star Pov
I start shaking my head as Marco looked around "What do we do?" "I'm not sure! I have to ask my mother.." "What?! Why?" "Cause she's closer with her.." "But I thought your family doesn't really like her"

"We don't but my mother made a deal she couldn't refuse and now that I'm around that age, I might have to face her" Marco looked worried "Take her on your own? Are you crazy? I get that your strong and good but that dark magic you have instead isn't gonna win"

I rolled my eyes "My magic is fine and I don't use dark magic unless I need to" he crosses his arms and looks at me "Well sign me up cause I'm not gonna let you go kill yourself alone" "Marco, this isn't your fight!" "It isn't yours either! You're powerful but not as powerful as the Queen of Darkness"

I groan and sigh "Marco I have to do this alone, I'm the only who's leveled with her magic, my mother isn't as strong as she was before..she may have defeated her other victim but he still lurks around" he looked confused "A victim? She didn't just go against Eclipsa?" I shook my head  "No..he's the reason why I'm in this war.."

My knees collapsed and I let out a cry. My vision blurry and heart racing a million times faster. I look up and see him gone and away from me and my family "Good work..Now time to return the deal" I saw her small hand holding in front of me as I I took it and held her hand "You will be cursed to be haunted by your past, I will come back but not against you.." she lowered her eyes towards my stomach "Someone who will be born with dark magic and be as powerful as me..until then I shall leave you alone" she held my hand and it glowed purple and she was gone, my future has already been determined..

I rushed home, Marco followed closely and I looked around just in case something happened but to our luck we arrived safely and I let out a sigh as mother walked in the room "Mother! A word please" she was startled and gave me a look "What's going on Star?"

"I'm hearing voices again, she's calling for me..and I'm not ready" she grabbed my shoulders and looked into my eyes "You'll be ready, I assure you but not alone" she looked at Marco and he looked surprised "You, a healer and a dragon a good combo for a magical fight against the queen"

"Mother, he doesn't remember how to use his hybrid just like me" mother huffs "Are you kidding?" "No she's not" he said and she takes a deep breath, well then we'll be practicing on those for awhile before the war" damn I forgot about that "The war again?"

"Yes dear, your father has been searching where the queen herself will be" I nodded and Marco looked confused "War?! I have to fight a war?!" "Didn't your teachers tell you at your school? After you graduate you are entering to battle, it's a life or death situation"

"Star your okay with this?!" I nodded "Yes, it's what I'm made for, besides I grew up during the war and know what to do, so have you" he lowers his head "You'll risk your life?" I nodded "Of course I will, if it's to protect the people who doesn't posses magic, then I'll do what I must"

he looks at me and held my face which made me blush "You tend to do this all alone?" I looked into his eyes and shook my head "I intend to have you by my side and help" my hands made its way to his face and I smiled "You really want to do this"

"I do, to break the curse and deal with my mother" I looked at my mother as she was on her tablet reading something "Fine, I'll join you but if you push me to the limit be warned" Marco said directing it at my mother who gave a nod "Understood"

A/n as promised the magician Au next part will probably them be training and Marco getting frustrated with it all..but does Star have something for him?
