It’s been days later since I left the kingdom with Marco and he has yet to mark me. I know I should wait but how long is that going to take? I left my life just to be with him and he hasn’t marked me in the slightest. “you seem upset”

Marco said as I laid on his bed as he was putting on his clothes “You haven’t marked me? Or you did and I can’t tell?” He chuckles “Star it doesn’t work that way, I have to mark you when we are intimate” my face flushed and I sat up and looked anywhere but his brown eyes

“W-Why is it like that?” He sighs and sits beside me “Its supposed to symbolize our union together and that you'll stay by my side just like my parents” I nodded and thought about it “Wait? When it happens is it going to hurt? The mark I mean and maybe the other thing too?” He blushes and holds my face

“It'll be quick and I'm not sure cause it’s my first time” he looked at me and I flushed a bright pink “Y-you never done it before?” “No? My dad always told me to wait for the right one because if you pick someone by sheer appearance and not what they are like, you'll get tired of them and you can leave them”

I gasp a bit “Will you get tired of me?” He smiles “No, never Star” he caresses my cheek and I smiled at him “Where is the ceremony going to happen?” He tilts his head and smiles “I'm moving away from my parents, I built a small home for us to live and for us to be alone so no one will interrupt us in the middle of it” I giggled

“So we leave this place and go somewhere else to complete the marking?” He nods “Yeah, I’m kind of nervous in all honesty like I don’t even know where to mark you? A place that would cause less pain and you won’t whine afterwards” okay now I’m getting a little nervous, this was something new and I barely understood it

“Marco! Uh sorry for yelling your name, I couldn’t hear myself” “You're worried I can sense it, we don’t have to do the other thing if you’re not comfortable, I'll just mark you” he assured and I felt stupid cause I was acting scared when I knew weeks before I was basically making him moan against me on a tree.

“No! Uh it’s just I’m still a little confused on this werewolf mate thing? When your mom went through it, did it hurt?” Marco shrugs “I’m not sure, all I know is I was conceived on that day, we could ask her or you can and I'll ask my dad” I nodded feeling better but the thing is, I haven’t met Marcos dad.

Since I met Marco I only saw his beautiful mother and I yet to see him “Marco I haven't seen your dad” “You'll see him at the ceremony, just look for the guy that looks like an older version of me” he chuckles and moved from my side “I’m going to find him, my mother is in the kitchen”

he kissed me gently and took off and I got dressed and made my way to the kitchen and I see beautiful auburn curls “Morning Princess, sleep well?” She didn’t even look back “Uh, yeah and morning to you as well” she turns and hands me a plate of bacon and eggs

“May I ask you something?” “Sure, what’s on your mind?” “When you were marked, did it hurt?” She giggles and sits beside me “I’m not going to sugarcoat it but yes it was painful but, afterwards it was so much better” I blushed “Are you talking about t-the other part?” She smirks

“Yes, Star if you are scared then tell Marco because he will understand, he wouldn’t pressure you into it, I raised him myself” I nodded “So, when he marked you-“ she lowered her shirt and I saw the mark, it was big and seems to scar but it’s still there

“I never felt so much pain until nine months later Marco came to this world. It’s going to hurt but it won’t matter because the wolf that marked you will take very good care of their mate. If your feeling discomfort or your in pain? You're upset or anything. They will take care of you, especially when they mark you and you become theirs”

I nodded and looked at her “I know this is already awkward but, when you make love can you get pregnant on the first time?” She smirks and tilts her head “I only got pregnant because Raphael wanted a son, he really wanted me to carry his pup and he was in heat, it’s different with everyone”

wait heat? What is that? “heat?” She sighs knowing I have a lot to learn “Wolves are like dogs, there is a time when the wolf would want to procreate life and as the mate you will help them out through it out. Me and you are lucky because we are human and our bodies don’t act the way they do. It could last week’s or months depending on wolf and it’s mates to concieve a pup. Don’t worry about that for now, Marco hasn’t gone in heat since his 15 birthday”

that wasn’t really reassuring “So if he's in it, is that a problem?” She looks at me and doesn’t day anything “It could be but it depends on the bond you two share, When in heat the wolf won’t hold back and you really can’t stop them until they are satisfied”

I didn’t feel like eating and I was terrified because this was way different how I grew up in. "I'm going for a walk..excuse me" I moved from the table and rushed outside and ran towards the pond and fell to my knees "Seems you're not ready"

I flinch a bit noticing its the girl from before, now I can see her clearly. Short blonde hair with a bright teal streak covering half her face and her eyes a beautiful aquamarine. Her clothes were a bit tattered up but it suited her "What?"

I stood up and looked at her as she came closer and smirked "The mark. Being intimate. It's too much for you..you reek of doubt and your face is flushed red" "Well sorry I'm no professional at this sort of stuff" "No one is, be lucky you have a mate that cares about you" she looks into my eyes and I hold my breath

"I ruined my chance and now I will never find a mate" she moved my long hair from my face and smiled "Have you..you know" she smirks "Yes, I have why you ask?" I sigh and grabbed her hands "Please teach me!" I said quite loud and she blushes

"Uh I'm not gonna-" "Please? I don't want to mess up" she moved away from my hands and crossed her arms "This has to be between you and your mate, I'm not the one getting marked here. It's for you both to experience the chemistry together" I lowered my eyes and sigh

"Look, I'll help you about the little dance you have to do with Marco..other than that I'm not gonna help anymore" I smiled and hugged her which she reacted weirdly with a growl "What are you doing?! Get off!" I moved away and giggles

"It's a thank you hug? Haven't you received any?" She lowered her head and blushed "Not for awhile, come on we don't have all day" we moved away and then it occurred to me that I didn't get her name "What's your name?"

"Jackie" she said straight and forward "Pretty Name" she nods as we get to an open field "Alright just follow my lead and you won't embarrass yourself in front of the chief and his family" I nodded as she came and took my hand into hers

"Now, you are going to place your hand on my shoulder and sway along with Marco" I nodded "Now, watch me" I followed her every move and I started to feel confident and as we reached the last of it she stops "Now, I don't want to continue cause it ends with a kiss and I'm not kissing you" I laughed "Fair enough, thanks for this Jackie" she shook her head "Don't thank me"

After hours of preparing I was dressed in a revealing shirt and skirt and I was barefoot. My hair was braided and held up with beautiful white flowers "You look beautiful Star" I blush "Thanks, don't you think it's a little too much?" She shakes her head

"No, your fine" I sigh and looked at myself once more before I walked out the house and towards the giant bonfire surrounded by other people which I assume are wolves as well "Wow, you look beautiful" I blushed as Marco took my hand and pulled me closer

"Thanks you, your mom helped me" he smiles and kisses my cheek "Come, my father wants to meet you" I nod as I'm pulled through the crowd, it was odd seeing so much people there and watching me since I'm not even like them.

Uh there I go again feeling out of place "Your worrying again" I keep forgetting he can sense me "Sorry it's just" "Hey, relax okay?" I nodded and took a deep breath and kept my eyes on Marco as we stopped I looked and saw his father, his features were strong and his posture was well

"So, this is the beautiful girl" he took my hand and kissed it "Pleasure of meeting you" "Pleasure is all mine, I'm Star nice to finally meet you Sir" he chuckles and nods "Like wise, now I hoped Marco told you what goes on during and after the ceremony"

"I have father" "Good, go on and have fun" we nodded and he went towards his wife and Marco held me close "Ready for this?" I nodded we walked in the center and all eyes were on us including his parents who held loving gazes as Marco pulled me close.

I could hear my heart racing with each step we took and the loving look gave me made me feel safe in his arms "Someone has been practicing" I giggled "Yeah..am I bad?" He shook his head and nuzzles between my neck "No..you're doing well"

I smirked as my hand moved from his shoulder to his neck, he smelled like fresh herbs and a lilac flower "Can we just stay like this?" I asked as I heard a content growl "Me too" he moved from my neck and held my cheek before placing a sweet loving kiss.

As we pulled apart and people were cheering and clapping "What's happening?" "Part one of the ceremony is done" I blush and felt a little scared for the next part "Does that mean.." "Yeah I can just mark you and next time we could you know" I sigh "No, I want this" he blushed a bit

"Are you sure?" I nodded "Yeah, I'm sure" he took my hand and pulled us away, his father gave him a look and Marco nods as we disappeared into the darkness "So..this is really happening?" I asked as we walked deeper

"We don't have to do anything if you feel uncomfortable Star, I won't force you into it" I don't understand what's wrong with me "But I kinda want to Marco, but I'm nervous that I'll mess up" he chuckles as we made it to the small home. It was cute and looked cozy

"Ladies first" I nodded and entered the home, it was decorated and filled with cute little nicknacks "Wow, you did all this?" "Well a little help from my family" we chuckled and wandered around until I found the bed and I froze "What now?"

He held my hand and sat us on the bed and I looked into his eyes "I guess I'll mark you" I held my breath and watched him lean closer leaving small kisses on my neck as I closed my eyes and waited but then it was gone. I opened my eyes and looked at Marco

"You stopped?" He nods "You're scared and really stressed, it's kinda messing with my senses" I felt bad and a little annoyed "You don't trust me, do you?" I was shocked to hear him so down, he wasn't like this "What? If course I do"

he gave me a look and turned away "You're afraid of getting marked, when I touch you..your body tenses up and it upsets me because my own mate doesn't want me touching her" I grabbed his hand and placed it on my hip

"I'm not afraid, I trust you if I didn't I wouldn't have danced with you. I wouldn't have kissed you. I wouldn't have met you. So don't doubt yourself because I'm here to stay" Marco smiled and he slowly laid me back on the bed and I looked into his loving eyes and I pulled him into a deep kiss as his hands roamed my body as I pulled at his shirt

"Wait!" He pulled away a bit "Do you still want to?" I blushed "Well we were just getting started? Do you still want to stop?" He shook his head "No, you smell nice" I giggled as he started kissing down my neck "He gentle" I said as his eyes glowed a bright gold "I will"

After he placed and roamed my body his breathing was picking up and I felt his tongue as he lapped my neck. I let out a small squeak and he noticed as his golden eyes shimmered "I'm going to mark you.." I nodded and held his hair as his teeth sharpens and I close my eyes as I felt his teeth poke through my skin.

I screamed and pulled on his hair tightly hearing him growl near my ear "It hurts!" I say as tears blur my vision as he removed his teeth from my skin. He looked at me and caressed my cheek giving me gentle and soft kisses "I'm sorry.."

he wiped the tears away and cuddled between my neck and placed the lights kiss "You might need some rest, I took too much out of you" I sigh and nodded but I felt pain in my neck as I hiccup a cry "We have all the time of the world to continue"

he lifted his head and I saw his eyes go back to his brown and I smiled "Marco that hurt..like a lot!" He laughs "It's not funny! You idiot now it's gonna take weeks for it to heal" he stops and nods "I'm pretty sure my mom told you it hurts"

"Yeah but.." "But what?" I shook my head "Nothing, can you laid back down" he smirks and cuddled on my chest as I felt calmer and relaxed than before but I know for a fact I'll  have a mark.
