"I scored a date with Kujou Saraaa, I scored a date with Kujou Saraaa!" Kokomi hummed while pacing around the halls. She decided to just wait nearby the student council's office until Sara is finished with her tasks.
"What should we do though? A movie date perhaps...?"
"Kokomi." A stern voice echoes through the halls. Kujou Sara stands with a hand on her hip, a confident posture that didn't align with the tiredness in her eyes.
"Sara! You're done with all the things you had to do?"
"More or less."
"Sooo, I planned for us to go to my place and watch a movie. We can order food." Kokomi clasps her hands behind her back, swaying shyly.
"That's fine."
"Great!"
They walk to the campus' exit in silence, until they stood waiting for transportation the student council's second in appearing the most intimidating decided to ask a question.
"You didn't answer when I asked you earlier. What was the reason for you taking me out today?"
"I'm just kind of boreed you see..."
"Don't you have (y/n)?"
"Yeah but I'm tired of seeing their face everyday. I adore seeing yours."
Sara gives Kokomi a very unimpressed look and sighs. "The shenanigans of you all. Yet I can't seem to hate the awful misconduct."
"Huh?" Kokomi couldn't seem to figure out what her crush was implying. Did Kujou Sara like naughty people? Was she implying that Kokomi should break the campus rules often so she'd get sent to the be dealt with by the student council and they'd see each other more often? Now Kujou Sara came off as coy to her.
But she seemed to be talking about multiple people.
"Stop overthinking!"
"Kokomi? You know I'm just following you right? I don't know where you live."
"Right sorry, I'm just feeling a bit tired and got lost in thought."
---
In around 20 minutes they got to Kokomi's place, a cramped messy apartment with books all over the place. Sara wondered how she even managed to keep track of all her stuff in this typhoon of a room. One could go treasure hunting and find things even Kokomi didn't know she had. It wasn't all that bad though, It was really mostly books and papers scattered and nothing much of garbage.
"Sorry for the mess, I don't have enough space for all my books so some are just laying around."
"It's normal for busy people to have a bit of clutter here and there... Though I personally would prefer making it possible to keep my stuff tidy."
"I think most would. Is there any movie you have in mind?"
"No? I believe I haven't watched a movie since half a year ago."
"What do you spend your free time doing then?!" Kokomi stares at her like it is a sin. "Please tell me you've at least watched ratatouille."
"I usually spend my free time tidying my things or doing personal research. Ratatouille came out such a long time ago, but no I haven't watched it yet."
"We are watching Ratatouille then."
Kokomi rushes to the small couch and puts her bag down on the floor by her feet. Since she doesn't have a TV in her apartment, she opens her laptop that was resting on the table in front of the couch, infinitely plugged into the charger like it is the computer's life support.
Sara follows along and sits beside Kokomi. "You are classmates with Kamisato Ayaka am I correct?"
"Mhm? What about her?"
"As you probably know, she's part of the student council. But she hasn't been going to school and is failing all her classes. At this rate we'll have to remove her from her spot in the council. Do you have any contact with her or know what she's up to?"
"No clue. She's much closer with (y/n) so they might know what's up with Ayaka."
"Alright then. Sorry to bother you with student council affairs."
"Aww Sara, you don't need to apologize, I'd do anything to help you! Oh and lets order our food now."
Kokomi orders food from her device and while they wait for it, she starts the movie. The food arrives once they are 30 minutes in and they eat while watching. She ordered two buckets of fried chicken for the both of them, and two large iced teas.
"Don't you think this is too much?" Kujou Sara asks.
"Not at all! So that you can eat as much as you'd like. I can always just give the extra to the person who lives in the apartment next to this, he's pretty friendly. Loves chicken."
They carry on with watching the movie, feasting on fried chicken until the end. Sara couldn't help but to have random thoughts because of how the school's favorite, Arataki Itto would call her Kujou chicken.
After the movie, she helps Kokomi with cleaning up the crumbs of the fried chicken. Kokomi musters up the courage to profess her romantic loyalty to the woman she likes.
"Sara... I know you have a crush on Baal—"
"I don't have a crush on her."
"You don't?"
"I used to."
"So there's no one you're interested in now?"
"Sticking your head in business that's not yours, Kokomi? And how'd you know of me having a crush on her to begin with? Who gave you that information?"
"I... Well." Kokomi takes a deep breath. "I like you Sara, like, romantic like! For a long time... So I snooped around in the past and found out you like Baal."
"Oh. I understand now. Unfortunately there is someone else I like."
"Someone else?!" Thoughts race through Kokomi's head, wondering who it could possibly be. "Okay, that's okay. But I refuse to forfeit my feelings! While you have not recited your wedding vows for another, I will hold onto the possibility that we could watch the sunset together for the rest of our lives, Kujou Sara!"
"Pfft... Ahahahaha!" She bursts out laughing, a wholesome laugh Kokomi had been granted the miracle to see today. "Interesting! What a way to confess. We'll see then."
It's not over for Sangonomiya Kokomi.
