The team had been searching for over an hour. The moon was now glistening behind the dark black clouds, and the street lights began to flicker. They had searched buildings, factories, alley-ways, and other locations. So far, they hadn't even found a clue. Where was Batman? Shouldn't he help?
"We have been out here for over an hour... I feel like I'm about to get diseases from this air." Rocket complained, earning herself a glare from Wally.
"This isn't the time for whining, we need to find Dick." Wally commented, still glaring.
"I have a feeling you know him more than you say. How so?" Kaldur asked.
"Yes, Wally. Please tell us!" Megan urged, agreeing with her Atlantean friend.
Wally sighed. What was he going to say?
...
Dick wanted to get out of this place... But he couldn't do it in the sky, he'd be writing his own will. The sharp pain in his chest eased down, but still hurt. He had become a bit dizzy from the blood loss, considering the zip-ties had cut open his wrists and ankles. Dick could barely twitch without wincing, not that he could actually move. This was some serious stuff... Cheshire and Sportsmaster meant business. Suddenly, Dick heard a deep raspy voice shout from the cockpit.
"We're here, and landing. Get the boy."

Now
The pain in Dick's chest began to flare up once again when Cheshire unstrapped him from the leather seat. When she saw the dried blood covering his zip-tied wrists and ankles, she chuckled darkly.
Honestly, Jade wasn't sure of who she was anymore.
'I have a child... What if my child was treated like this?' Jade pondered.
Dick noticed her pause. He also noticed how she put her head down; almost sadly. Was she having second thoughts? The boy could only hope.
"Something on your mind Cheshire?"
"Shut up bird boy."
As Cheshire roughly pulled him off the seat, he winced. Dick could feel the helicopter landing, as the whirring gradually slowed to a stop. Sportsmaster appeared from the cockpit, and started towards the door of the helicopter. He stopped midway, giving his daughter an odd look through his gray mask. Cheshire nodded her head slightly, and Sportsmaster then opened the large metal door, jumping out.
"Here's the deal birdie; I'm not dragging you. So you can either walk and cooperate, and we can cut off the deal and I can kill you." Cheshire stated harshly, and brought Dick to his feet.
His feet were beyond sore. Cheshire crouched on the floor and cut the zip-ties on his ankles loose, causing the boy to flinch. She paused for a moment after noticing his pain, and then stood up.
"And one more thing- don't try to escape. You have no way of getting home, unless you want the poison to kill you."
Yep, Dick was right. The guy that slashed his chest used a knife with poison on it.
'I'm SO not feeling the aster!'

A Few Moments Earlier
"Spill, Wally." Connor ordered, glaring at the red-headed speedster.
The team was now back in the bioship after having no luck in their search. They had questioned Wally about his relation with Dick Grayson, and they were now waiting for an answer.
"Well... Since he is Bruce Wayne's ward he gets kidnapped a lot. Let's just say Flash and I were visiting the Batcave, and it turned out the kid needed help. I disobeyed Bats and Flash's orders... They told me to stay put. Of course, I didn't listen and actually ended up finding the kid. I kinda saved his life, and we became friends. I just feel bad... He's never been through this much before." Wally explained. The last sentence was a lie; Dick had been through worse. It was Gotham for goodness sake... In fact everything he said was a lie. Flash and Wally had never visited the Batcave together, and Wally never saved Dick from a kidnapping.
"Oh my!" M'gann exclaimed, sadness in her voice.
Rocket suddenly felt bad for her outburst, and nodded in understanding. She never knew how important this mission was to the speedster.
Artemis sighed. She believed Wally, undoubtedly. Dick was the kind of kid you could easily become friends with, even though she thought he was a bit nerdy and awkward. However that didn't matter to the emerald archer; all that mattered was bringing the innocent kid home where he belongs.
Silence.
"Well... Should we keep searching? Or contact Batman?" The Atlantean asked breaking the uncomfortable silence.
"We keep searching."
Wally needed to find his best friend.

An Unknown Location
Now
Dick was now struggling to follow behind Cheshire. They were walking into some old power plant in the middle of nowhere. All he could see was the dark sky, dust, grass, gravel, and machinery. The boy was trying his best to stay on his feet, but he was wobbly and slow and almost lost his footing a few times. Dick was hunched over due to the unbearable pain in his chest, and his hands were still tied behind his back. The rough plastic of the zip-tie was eating away at his flesh, and he wouldn't be surprised if he died of blood loss. Suddenly he tripped and fell, his scratched face falling straight into the dusty gravel ground.
Cheshire groaned, and lifted him up. But the odd part was, that she was careful; as if she cared about his well being.
"Are you alright, bird brain?" She asked, trying to hide emotion.
"Wow, so you actually have a soft side?" Dick asked sarcastically, his voice hoarse.
But it was true. Jade did have a soft side. She was beginning to regret this. What would Roy think? What if her child grew up, knowing what her mother did? Just like Jade grew up living with two villains for parents?
'I'm sorry Roy. I'm sorry Lian. I can't back down now, it's too late.'
