Greetings, and welcome to another Pup impulse project! Please make sure you wipe your feet on the rug on the way in. Wouldn't want to tread in any excess blood.

Is it a good idea for me to be starting another project? Probably not, but it'll be fun.

First off, I better start by saying that this is an Open Novella Contest entry for 2023, because I love to ride the hype train and succumb to peer pressure too easily. The prompt I've chosen is as follows:

49. "Master the rules of the game until you can play it better than they can." Michael Scott, "The Sorceress."

I already had the rough framework and main character in my head, but it really clicked into place when I saw that prompt. Will I ever stop using game metaphors in every one of my projects? Heck no. They just vibe too much.

Also, it's important to note that this is my first time ever writing something which doesn't have any fantasy elements at all. I feel a little lost in the dark without the good old crutch that is magic, but hey, it's good to try new things. I think. It features murder at least so I'll survive.

Anyway!! Fancy a murder mystery featuring a cast of wildly different characters who don't know how to interact with each other? Up for a socially-inept MC who is trying very hard to be budget Sherlock Holmes? Ready to watch Pup struggle to string together dots and craft a somewhat engaging plot? Then step right in :D
