All the warriors and soldiers of Shri Ram were at their positions ready for battle and so were the Asurs who looked more excited than ever.

"Kal sabse shaktishali Rakshas Kumbhkaran ka vadh huya aur aaj shatru sena itni utsahit kyu hai ?" Aahana asked.

"Kahi aisa toh nahi ki aaj swayam Ravan sena ka neitritwa karne aaya ho ?" Laxman said.

"Nahi, Ravan ne aaj apne sabse anmol, sabse veer, sabse parakrami putra, Meghnath ko bheja hai." Vibhishan said.

"Kya woh Meghnath jisne Devraj Indra ko parast kar swayam Brahmadev se Indrajeet ka alankaar prapt kiya ?" Aahana asked.

"Ha wahi Meghnath. Iski shakti aur siddhi, teeno loko mai abhedya hai." Vibhishan said.

"Yeh toh humari sena ko cheerte huye aage badha jaa raha hai." Aarashi said.

"Hume jane ki aagya dijiye." Aahana said.

"Nahi-Nahi, Meghnath bahut vikat yoddha hai, Ati-Maharathi hai. Jab woh yudh karte karte thak jaye tab hi jao." Vibhishan said.

"Yeh koi neeti nahi." Aarashi said.

"Yudh ki ek hi niti hoti hai Shatru ko parast karna." Vibhishan said.

"Kintu aniti ke maarg se nahi. Aahana aur Aarashi, jao." Shri Ram said.

"Jo agya." They said and left.

There in the battlefield Meghnath was looking for Laxman.

"Kaha hai woh Laxman !? Sugreev aur Angad ko bhej ke swayam chup gaya !! Mujhse dar ke kaha baitha hai !?" Meghnath laughed.

Suddenly an arrow was shot at his direction but he ducked on time. He looked at the direction from which the arrow was shot and was surprised to find Aahana and Aarashi.

"Ati-Maharathi hai, fir bhi inhe itna nahi pata ki yudh mai pralap karne se dhyan bhatakta hai aur shatru iska labh utha sakta hai." Aahana said. Meghnath gritted his teeth.

"Tum awashya Vishwaroop ki putriya hogi. Yudh mai tumhare parakram ke kisse sune hai maine." Meghnath said.

"Toh aaj dekh bhi lijiye." Aarashi said shooting an arrow at him. Meghnath easily countered it.

"Kya Ram ke sena mai koi yoddha bacha nahi jo abodh balikao ko bhej diya." Meghnath laughed.

Aahana shot an arrow purposefully at his crown making it fall, Meghnath looked at her flabbergasted.

"Punah pralap karne lage aap. Agli baar baan aapko sachait nahi karega apetu praan lelega." Aahana said.

"Mai toh tum dono ke saath khel raha tha." Meghnath said.

"Kyu ? Bacche ho ?" Aarashi deadpanned. Meghnath gritted his teeth.

"BAS !" Meghnath roared and shot arrows at them.

Aahana and Aarashi found it a bit difficult to counter his attacks but not impossible. And thanks to Suryadev, they both will remain undefeated.

But being Ati-Maharathi, Meghnath in front of them will also remain undefeated and thus their battle might not have an end. Realizing this Shri Ram sent Laxman ji for battle.

"Meghnath ! Sahas hai toh mujhse yudh karo !" Laxman ji called.

"Aao Laxman aao ! Tumhari hi pratiksha thi mujhe." Meghnath said.

"Yaha se mai sambhal lunga." Laxman said to the sisters and they nodded and stood aside.

Shri Ram, Sugreev, Angad, Vibhishan and Hanuman too came to their direction and spectated the furious duel of Laxman and Meghnath.

Seeing that sun was about to set, Meghnath summoned his most nefarious weapon, Naagpash in the air, it created a portal and millions of snakes came out from it and trapped all the warriors swirling and coiling around their body.

The warriors winced as the snake coiled around their necks and Meghnath laughed.

"Ab yahi raho aur mrityu ki pratiksha karo !" Meghnath said and went back to Lanka.

"Prabhu kuch kijiye !" Sugreev said.

"Yeh sarp aaj hi humare praan lelenge Bhaiya !" Laxman said.

"Iska kya tod hai ?" Shri Ram asked.

"Garud-astra ho sakta hai kintu mere paas shakti nahi hai." Aahana said.

"Satya kaha." Shri Ram said and then he managed to join his hands.

"Garud, humari sahayata karo !" He said.

And soon a bright light emerged from the skies and none other than the vahan of Narayan Garud came to rescue. Seeing him all the snakes uncoiled themselves quickly and tried to escape, but he got hold of all the snakes.

Everyone breathed out, and then Garud bowed to Shri Ram before going back.

Ravan was at joy hearing that he won this day because of Meghnath.

"Wah Indrajeet Wah ! Aaj tumne apne Pita ka sar garv se aur ucha kardiya !" Ravan said.

"Aaj unn Vanvasiyo ko gyath ho chuka hoga ki mujhe Indrajeet kyu lehte hai. Abhi tak toh woh sab Mrityu lok pahuch chuke honge." Meghnath laughed.

"Chuk gaye tum Meghnath." Mayasur said.

"Kya tatparya hai aapka ?" Ravan asked.

"Suchna mili hai, ki Ram ne Garud ka awahan kar swayam ko aur anya yoddhao ko bacha liya hai." Mayasur said.

"Chinta na kare Pitashree mai abhi jaale unhe samapt karke aata hu." Meghnath said and left.

Before going he went straight to his room and found his wife Sulochana waiting for him.

"Aap kushal toh hai na swami ?" Sulochana asked.

"Hume kya ho sakta hai ?" Meghnath asked.

"Toh aapke man mai kis baat ki chinta hai ?" Sulochana asked.

"Shatru naagpash se bach gaya. Kintu adhik der tak nahi kyuki hum punah unn par akraman karne jaa rahe hai." Meghnath said.

"Mere man atyant Vyakul ho utha hai, mujhe lagta hai ki woh Ram aur Laxman swayam...woh swayam....." Sulochana looked unsure whether to say it or not.

"Bhagwaan hai ?" Meghnath completed her sentence. She looked at him confused.

"Mujhe gyath hai ki Ram swayam Narayan ka avtar hai aur Laxman bhi kisi ke avtar awashya honge." Meghnath said.

"Aapko kaise pata ?" She asked.

"Aaj maine swayam apni aakho se dekha, maine Laxman par Brahmastra chalaya aur woh tej-heen hoke lupt hogaya. Maine fir Mahadev ka Pashupata chalaya aur woh bhi Laxman ko pranam karke lupt hogaya. Annt mai maine Narayan ka amogh Chakra chalaya kintu woh Laxman ki parikrama karke lupt hogaya. Yeh sab bate mujhe batati hai ki Laxman bhi kisi ka avtar hai." Meghnath said.

"Jab aapko pata chal gaya hai ki woh bhagwaan hai toh aap Shri Ram ke sharan mai akele chale jayiye. Mukti aur Dharm ke maarg par sab akele hi jate hai." Sulochana said.

"Nahi priye Sulochana, jo Pita se Vimukh ho jaye aur unhe shatruo ke bich akela chod de, uska aadar bhagwaan bhi nahi karte." Meghnath said.
