Angad had gone to the court of Ravan to make peace. As Shri Ram believed the war will cause a lot of bloodshed and must be avoided at all costs.

"Ravan yadi Sita Mata aur anya bandhiyo ko samman-poorvak mukt kardo toh yeh yudh tal jayega." Angad said.

"Kya uss Vanvasi Ram ko yudh se bhaye lag raha hai !? Kyu na lage mere paas ek se badh ke ek shaktishali aur veer yodha hai." Ravan said arrogantly.

"Hey Lankesh Ravan yadi tumhare yeh yodha yaha se mera ek paer hila de. Toh Shri Ram ke ki oor se mai yeh vachan deta hu ki hum apni haar maan ke laut jayenge." Angad said.

One by one all of the warriors at Ravan's Court came and tried their might but were able to move Angad's leg even an inch. All of them went back to their seat with lowered heads.

Then came Ravan's son, Meghnath the valiant. All had hopes that he might able to lift Angad's feet after all he was Indrajeet, the one who had victory over the king of gods Indra.

Meghnath grabbed Angad's feet and tried to pull it up but nothing happened. He again with all his might tried again but this time tried to move it sideways, but failed this time also.

Defeated and embarrassed Meghnath went back to his seat and sat with a lowered head and shattered ego.

Seeing that no one was able to lift a feet of a mere Vanar and that to a teen one, Ravan decided to take matters in his own hands.

The Trilokadi-pati came down from his high throne and made his way towards Angad. He knelt down but as he was about to grab Angad's leg, the Vanar backed away and laughed.

"Mere paer kya padta hai Ravan ? Jaa kar Shri Ram ke paer pakad, tujhe kshama aur mukti wahi denge !" Angad laughed.

He grabbed Ravan's crown and threw it out of the window and jumped from the window as well.

The crown of Ravan fell straight in the feet of Shri Ram, who was along with his companions. He picked it up and looked at it confused, it looked too much like it belonged to someone of Suryavansh, Aahana and Aarashi too noticed it.

"Yeh mukut kiska hai ?" Shri Ram asked.

"Dekh ke toh Suryavanshi mukut la raha hai." Aahana said.

"Kintu yaha kaunsa Suryavanshi Raja hoga ?" Aarashi asked.

"Yeh Lankesh ka mukut hai." Vibhishan said. By then Angad came towards them.

"Prabhu Shri Ram, Ravan ne sandhi prastav ko thukra diya hai. Woh keval yudh chahta hai." Angad said.

"Yadi use yudh chahiye toh hum use yudh awashya denge." Shri Ram said.

FUN FACT : THE CROWN OF RAVAN ACTUALLY BELONGED TO DASHRATH. THERE IS VERSION OF RAMAYAN WHERE DASHRATH FOUGHT WITH RAVAN ALONG WITH KAIKEYI. THE WAR DIDN'T TURNED OUT TO BE IN HIS FAVOUR SO TO SAVE KAIKEYI, DASHRATH ACCEPTED HIS DEFEAT AND RAVAN TOOK HIS CROWN AS A TROPHY. SO THIS WAS SHOWN AS THE REAL REASON KAIKEYI SENDS RAM TO VANVAS AS SHE KNEW HE WOULD ENCOUNTER RAVAN. THIS VERSION JUST PUTS KAIKEYI IN THE POSITIVE LIGHT.
