"Bhaiya kya yeh satya hai ki Lanka par sabkat ke badal mandra rahe hai ?" Kumbhkaran asked.

"Satya kaha Kumbhkaran. Hume tumhari awashyakta hai, shatru ne alp samaye mai hi humare sena ke pramukh yodhayo ko maar diya hai." Ravan said.

"Kya Meghnath se kuch nahi huya ?" Kumbhkaran asked.

"Humne abhi use yudh par nahi bheja. Kintu jab hum swayam Ram tak nahi pahuch oaye unn kanyao ke karan toh Indrajeet kya kar sakta hai. Unn dono ne humare sabhi shashtro ko kaat ke hume nihatta kar diya, kintu lajja ki baat yeh hai ki unhone hume mara nahi. Veergati prapt hoti toh Gaurav prapt hota kintu aaj Sara sansaar hum par has raha hoga. Hey Kumbhkaran tumhara yudh mai jana aaashyak hai kyuki humara raj-kosh bhi khali ho raha hai." Ravan said.

"Jinke beheno ke samne Trilok-vijay Ravan, shashtra-heen, Gaurav-heen aur Shree-heen hogaya, uske baad bhi aapne yeh nahi socha ki inn parakrami beheno ka bhai Shri Ram kaun hai." Kumbhkaran said.

"KUMBHKARAN ! Shatru ko Shri laga ke sambodhit mat karo !" Ravan scolded.

"Aakhe band kar lene se Surya ka Prakash kam nahi hojata ! Jo teeno loko ke swami hai, swayam Narayan ka avtar hai unhe Shri laga ke hi sambodhit karna padega." Kumbhkaran said.

"Kya ?" Ravan asked in disbelief.

"Bhaiya shayad aap yeh bhul gaye hai ki sadiyo pehle, Raghuvanshi Raja Anarnay ne aapko shraap diya tha ki unke kul mai Narayan swayam janm lenege aur aapka vinash karenge. Naradmuni ne mujhe kaha tha ki Ayodhya-pati Dashrath ke yaha Narayan ne janm liya hai. Aap shayad Brahma ki baat bhi bhul gaye Bhaiya, Devi Sita swayam Mata Laxmi hai !" Kumbhkaran said.

"Hume apni behen Surpnakha ka badla lena tha ! Apne bhai Khar aur Dushan ki mrityu ka pratishod lena tha ! Kya hum nahi le sakte the !?" Ravan defended himself.

"Awashya lete kintu kayaro ki tarah kisi ki patni ka garan karke nahi, apetu veero ki tarah yudh karke." Kumbhkaran said.

"Kumbhkaran, gyaan mat do ! Har baat apne apne samaye thik lagti hai." Ravan said.

"Wahi toh mai keh raha hu bhaiya, aapne uchit samaye par uchit karya kiya hi nahi ! Aapne Kaam aur ahankar ke karan Dharm aur niti ka vichar kiya hi nahi aur iss liye saari Lanka jalgayi." Kumbhkaran said.

"MAAN LIYA KI HUMNE AHANKAR MAI AAKE NARAYAN KO NAHI PEHCHANA, MAAN LIYA HUME KAAM MAI AAKE SITA KA HARAN KIYA. KINTU ABHI KYA KARNA HAI YEH SOCHO KUMBHKARAN !" Ravan yelled.

"Mai toh chhota bhai thera bhaiya, mai aapka Mitra bhi hu aur sevak bhi. Mai aapko vachan deta hu ki yadi mai jeevit raha toh unn dono vanvasiyo ke mastiksh aapke charno mai rakhdunga. Kintu yadi mai mara gaya toh samajh lena bhaiya, ki unse koi nahi jeet sakta." Kumbhkaran said.

The next day of battle was becoming deadlier and deadlier by each passing moment. Many maharathis were getting killed on both sides.

"Oh toh Vali aur Vishwaroop ki santan ho tum teeno, tab hi itne parakrami ho. Mujhe sada iss baat ka dukh rahega ki maine tumhe alp-aayu mai hi maar dala !" Kumbhkaran said.

He raised his feet to step on the teens, but suddenly a mace came flying towards his direction, hitting Kumbhkaran making him step sideways.

"Apne barabari ke yodha se yudh karo Kumbhkaran." Someone said.

They turned their heads and found none other than Hanuman ji who had enlarged himself to equal the size of Kumbhkaran.

"Mai Pawan putra Hanuman tumhe dwand ka awahan deta hu." He said.

"Uttam, ati uttam." Kumbhkaran said.

"Kintu usse pehle, inhe lelo." Hanuman ji said and showed him his palm, which carried Kumbh and Nikumbh, who had been killed by him and Sugreev today.

"Kumbh....Nikumbh....mere putra...Hanuman Dhanyawaad tumhari neiki ke liye." Kumbhkaran said emotionally taking them.

Kumbhkaran gave Kumbh and Nikumbh to the flying demons to take them in the palace. He then summoned a mace.

"Tum teeno jayo yaha se, Shri Ram ke paas." Hanuman ji said and the teens left, knowing now Kumbhkaran will be taken care of.

Hanuman ji with his gada hits Kumbhkaran's mace so hard that it broke. He then lunged towards the giant pointing his mace at him but Kumbhkaran caught it by hands, he then grabs Hanuman ji and throws him at the territory wall of Lanka.

Hanuman ji groaned as he struggled to get up after being thrown so hard.

"Tumhara bhagya tha ki mera shashtra tut gaya. Utho aur yudh karo !" Kumbhkaran challenged.

"THEHRO !" Someone said from behind. Kumbhkaran turned around to look at him.

"Mai Ayodhya ke swargiye Maharaj Dashrath putra Ram tumhe yudh ka awahan deta hu." Shri Ram said.

"Ram ? Aao tumhari hi pratiksha thi mujhe. Aaj swayam Yamraj ke samne khade ho tum." Kumbhkaran said.

"Yamraj toh mujhe dikh rahe hai, jo iss shan Ranbhumi mai pratiksha kar rahe hai ki kab mere bano se tumhara mastiksh kate aur woh tumhe yamlok le jaye." Shri Ram said.

"Kaun Yamlok jayega, yeh toh samaye hi batayega." Kumbhkaran said and summoned a Boulder and threw it at Shri Ram.

But Shri Ram countered it with his arrow, both engaged in deadly battle. Kumbhkaran threw swords, rocks, trees and many Divine astras at Shri Ram but he countered all of it. More than a battle it looked like Shri Ram was playing with Kumbhkaran.

But seeing that the sun was about to set, Shri Ram shot an arrow at Kumbhkaran's left arm cutting it off. That arm fell on the Asur sena and they died under the weight.

Kumbhkaran screamed in pain as Shri Ram shot another arrow at him cutting his other arm off. And with another arrow Shri Ram ended his pain by beheading him and from the last arrow he cuts his torso off his body.

The gods showered flowers from above at Shri Ram's victory. But everyone had mixed emotions right now, on one hand they were happy that Kumbhkaran died but on the other hand sad that he was guiltless.
